Safelite AutoGlass

Safelite came out to replace my windshield and did so with one that was defective. The tech said a chemical had leaked between the panels of glass which causes drip like marks to show when the windshield is wet. This makes it almost impossible to see out of in the morning when there is dew on the car. The soonest I could get a tech out was the following week and they brought yet another defective piece of glass. Since the 2nd windshield was also defective, we decided to try again the following week instead. No surprise but the following week the now third windshield was also defective so they had to reschedule again for the following week. So now thats 3 windshields brought out in 3 weeks and my issue persists. The fourth week safelite calls on the day of my appointment to let me know the 4th windshield was broken in transit and they would again need to reschedule. So this will now be a month long process and I can only hope they get a suitable windshield. I called customer service and they offered no solution and no support. I will never use this company again, this has been an absolute mess. I would rather have my original windshield back and go to a local, private company.NegativeQuality

I had the windshield on my 2016 Porsche Macan S replaced and found holes in the beige leather dashboard after the tech left. The Hudson Valley Quality Control Manager, Raymond Ziegler, came out to assess the damage. He openly admitted the holes were caused by a tool the tech used due to the tech’s failure in following their own proper procedures. I asked that the dashboard be replaced and was told by Mr Ziegler that there was a process they had prior to replacement. After the failed repair attempt from the interior repair company they sent out, I again asked that the dashboard be replaced. I was then told by Mr Ziegler that the “Team” decided against replacement because of “lots of modules and airbags” in the dash. If you weren’t sure, Safelite doesn’t work on nor are they willing to pay for damages they blatantly admit to causing. He did however offer to have another interior company come out and try to repair the repair. ?????? Bottom Line: They are willing to work on expensive cars just not willing to pay for proper repair.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. In April of 2023 I took my 6 week old car to Safelite in Wappingers after a rock on the highway cracked my windshield. A year later, after a very rainy spring season, I discover water on the floor of my car. Took it to Toyota who attributed it back to a bad windshield install on Safelite’s behalf. For insurance claim purposes I also had to return to Safelite who was also able to confirm that water was coming in from the windshield. My 2023 Toyota 4Runner that had 4 miles on it when I purchased was deemed totaled due to electrical problems and mold growth from the water damage. My insurance paid out the fair market value of the car but obviously that wasn’t nearly enough to replace my dream car with the same year, model, trim level etc. So thanks to Safelite’s inadequacy I am out over ten thousand dollars just to own the same car I had when I trusted Safelite to do their job correctly.

Gave them my Subaru Forester to replace the back window. When I got my car back my trunk and back seat were a mess. My back wiper wasn't working. Turns out it wasnt even bolted back on..Went to the grocery store and tried to put my groceries in my trunk and the trunk door won't open AT ALL. And I couldn't put the stuff in my back seat bc they threw all my things everywhere. Not to mention they broke off the back plastic piece above the trunk handle that says Subaru. Which by the way is $300 dollars to replace. No one talked to me to inform me of anything about the replaced window, or about the piece they broke off. I contacted the company and still haven't heard back from them.. if I could give negative stars I would.

Had an appointment for 9:30a.m. drop-off and pick-up by 5:00p.m. I had no ride, so I had to stay and wait. Vic got me in as soon as I got there and made no promises but said they'd try to work on my windshield as soon as they could. I needed new windshield and front mounted camera calibration. At about 11:00a.m. Ryan walked into the waiting area and handed me my key and said my car was ready. Wow!!! What a great surprise. I thought I was going to be there most of all day. Great job by both Victor and Ryan. My new windshield is great and even has all my stickers (registration, inspection, parking, and car wash membership) attached back on very nicely. Definitely recommend Safelite at Wappinger Falls Airport Drive!

I had a crack in my windshield and my insurance sent me to Safelite. I'm very particular about my car and I do all the work I can on my own vehicle until its something I don't have the tools/equipment to do and I strongly not prefer other people working on my car if they do not have to but the gentleman at this location were great. It is clear they know what they are doing and they put some passion behind their work and they do their work well. The three guys I met working at this location were professional, quick, and knowledgeable and I would absolutely recommend you bring your car to this location if you need some automotive glass work done. A rock ended up cracking the windshield on my wife’s car. They had open availability for appointments which was great. Was able to schedule within a day or 2 of the initial inquiry. Ended up dropping the car off the night before using the key drop box which was really convenient due to our busy schedules. Got step by step text updates throughout the process which was nice, and they were able to get it finished in a timely manner. They even swapped the inspection and registration window decals onto the new glass without any issue (other times at other places those would basically be destroyed and illegible). 10/10 would recommend.

Save your time and money and go somewhere else. The first appointment I booked with safelite, the technician was a no show and never heard anything from anyone until I called the next day. When I tried again, the technician showed up without notice, then told me the replacement would be over $1,000 (it was supposed to be less than $400). Manager was hard to reach and absolutely no accountability. Terrible service

I noticed my windshield was strucked by something and caused cracks. I notified Geico and they recommended Safelite at Wappingers Fall location. They were AMAZING. From stellar customer service and efficiency to the quality of the replacement I must share how pleased I am all around. Thank You Nate, Ryan B & Ryan for making this process easy and restoring my faith that GOOD customer service still exists.

I will say these guys are excellent. Install went as planned and even though there was an issue with calibrating the eyesight on my WRX, they troubleshooted till the end and working with the Subaru dealership until resolution.
