Terrible workmanship - aside from the plastic debris, grease all over my A Pillar and rearview mirror, I noticed the housing that covers the rear view mirror components wasn’t on quite right. When I opened it up I found that they had snapped the clip that holds the wiring harness in place. They also snapped the tabs off the housing itself along with putting a big scratch in the plastic. The windshield itself sits at a depression on the passenger side of the car and is above the car body on the drivers side. There also appears to be a small chip already in the edge of the glass. Do not take your car to this location.

Tech did an excellent job on my Back Glass. Cleaned the back floor area and emptied the back door which was loaded with broken glass (rattled noisily when opening the door. Additionally, they notified me of back spoiler damage which I didn't know about but was able to summit a claim with my insurance. They also removed the spoiler which was hanging and dangerous to drivers if it fell off. Over all, excellent, their service was way less than other glass companies near us.

I arrived 30 minutes early for a windshield replacement at the 900 Jefferson Road location. Initial contact with the receptionist was good. She was pleasant and courteous. I had a conversation with her and with the store manager Kevin Hill. I told him that I was at that location 3 times previously in the last 15 years for windshield replacements and the technician was very good, clean and careful. I made specific reference to the windshield stickers and the careful removal and replacement on the new windshields. Kevin assured me that care would be taken and not to worry. Two hours later the technician came to the waiting area stating he was done, giving quick instructions on not slamming doors, no high pressure car washing for 24 hours and handed me a pamphlet. I went out to my vehicle and discovered that the stickers on the inside of the windshield were either missing or destroyed. The dash board was covered with debris and appeared unclean. I returned to the reception desk and requested to speak to the manager. The receptionist sent out the technician who performed the work. I advised him of the destroyed stickers and the missing sticker. He told me that as he was removing the stickers one just disintegrated and the others came off in pieces. I was then approached by the manager Kevin. He asked what the problem was and I told him. He immediately told me that the sticker removal and placement was done as a courtesy. I told him that he was being paid for the job and it was unacceptable. He told me that most stickers don’t remove well and if there was any cost incurred as a result of the missing or damaged stickers, to return to that location with a receipt and he would take care of it. I told him that the removal of all of the stickers is not that difficult if done properly. I have done it myself with all of them with no damage. I also told him that I wanted the missing sticker found and returned even if unusable as it is a specific one issued to me and I didn’t want it showing up on someone else’s vehicle. A few minutes later later the technician returned with the crumpled up sticker that he found and was unsalvageable. As I returned to the parking lot I observed a Safelight service van parked near my vehicle with approximately 5 police related stickers on the windshield similar to the one that was removed from my vehicle and destroyed. I am not an auto glass technician but with the proper training and careful workmanship all of this could have been avoided. A hair dryer, a sharp razor and 5 extra minutes is all it takes… I traveled to the car wash to get a new window sticker for the destroyed and unusable one and had to have the vehicle inspected as the inspection sticker was also destroyed. An afternoon of unnecessary follow-up. Needless to say I was not pleased with the service rendered at this Safelight location. The shotty workmanship, destruction of property, unclean dash and interior will cause me to never recommend or return to that location.

Love the customer service, but do not go here if you want to get your windshield replaced in within a month of your appointment time. I had to wait a week because they didn’t have the windshield they said they had in stock. Then when I actually went in, they said that it was the wrong windshield, I waited 1 hour walking by the highway to find this out, then they scheduled me for a windshield two weeks later. Two days before my appointment, I was told they didn’t have it. One week later, today, I went in for my replacement. They got this windshield directly from the manufacturer. After over an hour sitting by the highway, I’m told It is the wrong windshield yet again. Customer service is great but this number of times they have told me to come in and get my windshield when it’s not actually there is pretty bad. It’s been a month since I first went in to get it fixed, and I’ll probably be back in a week or two. They have my VIN and all the necessary information, but I’ve wasted hours sitting on the side of the road. I never leave bad reviews but this was just a stressful experience. Again: wonderful customer service, that’s why it gets 2 stars instead of 1. Don’t blame them for the lack of availability of the part, but rather the fact that they’ve gotten me the wrong one multiple times and have had me come in and wait an hour multiple times. Ps. They left their garage key in my cupholder, I didn’t realize till I was gone, but that gives you an idea of the level of incompetence there. Pics attached. I’ve tried to call to let them know I have it, but all the numbers lead to a bot that tells me to check the website.

I have used safelite twice before this last disaster. Both previous times (one at their location and the other was a remote) service was great and zero issues after repair. This most recent time the service tech called out sick on July 3rd. The rescheduled appointment was supposed to be the later afternoon time slot, but tech showed up 2 hours early so I had to again shift my schedule around to accommodate them. The work was very suspect at completion and it appeared parts of the original windshield rubber molding were removed and not replaced. The tech assured me it was not. The first thing I noticed was that there was a large black mark on my drivers seat, next was the housing around my rear view mirror was not seated properly. Then a couple days later when it rained it was like a waterfall above drivers and passenger side. Now it’s leaking into the housing where my heat/ac knobs are located. I’m worried this will cause possible mold or warping of the housing. Might be time to call an attorney. I attempted to call several times and the local number I was using from the website was not working. I have not been able to contact a real person, so I’m going to try to have another person come out to repair/replace. Don’t feel like I have any other choice but to use their website warranty scheduling system.

The discrimination and disrespect shown to us was unlike anything I have ever experienced. I am so deeply disappointed by Safelite. Came in to get our windshield replaced. Left with a very noticeable dent on the hood. Called to request they come out to fix it and they were immediately combative. I understand companies like this are wary as scammers do exist and try to report preexisting damage in order to get someone else to fix it for free, but this was not our intention. We come from a car family and have deep respect for technicians and understand that mistakes happen. We just wanted them to own up to what happened and swiftly correct the mistake. Unfortunately, that was not the case. It was a struggle to get them to send the photos they took of the car before service and even once they did, their photo featuring the side with the dent was cropped, pixilated, and drawn on, whereas the other photos of the rest of the car were perfectly clear. Instead of working with us to resolve the issue, the manager called me “dude” and said I sounded “like his 18 year old son”. He was extremely condescending, rude, and insulting. I also work in a customer service facing job and would never dream of speaking to a customer in that manner, no matter what happened. So deeply frustrated by this entire experience.

What a great experience with Safelite!! I noticed a giant crack in my windshield over the weekend and first of all their online scheduling process is extremely easy to schedule and input your insurance information. I have used mobile service in the past but elected to drop off my vehicle this time. The communication from Safelite was fantastic. Colleen called the day before my appointment and was very kind and answered all questions. The day of the appointment the gentleman who checked me in was again so kind and made sure all my information was correct. I needed them to call a different number for pick up and it wasn’t a problem at all. I had to wait for someone to pick me up so I was able to observe their interactions with multiple customers and they treated everyone with a level of kindness that is not always seen. I overheard them on the phone doing everything they could to accommodate customers. Everything that happened with my vehicle was clearly communicated to me and they even vacuumed the inside! Hopefully I don’t have to go back but if I do it will be without hesitation!!

Colleen is friendly and very customer centered. I made an appointment online and choose to have my services done outside. She called to let me know it would be too cold for the techs to work outside and was extremely accommodating with still getting me an appointment that same day that was flexible to fit my work schedule. When I arrived at my appointment she was so upbeat and friendly that I didn't mind sitting in the waiting room waiting for my repair to be completed.

Had a small chip in my windshield and made an appointment to get it fixed. The technician came in after five minutes and told me that the process went wrong and the chip was now a crack about six inches long. I was told that my windshield needed to be fully replaced now and that I would have to pay for that! They said that it sometimes happens but that they were not responsible. I will be getting it replaced somewhere else and suing them for my out of pocket costs.

Great business to work with, help us take care of our customers when they need their windshields replaced! Most recently, technician Jesse arrived promptly at our shop, was efficient and professional. There was a question about payment when he arrived (ins vs. customer pay vs. deductible), Jesse didn't let it rattle him, called into the office, got us an answer quickly and proceeded with his work. Job was completed in great time and our customer was very pleased!
