This was one of the worst experiences that I've ever had with With my car needing to have the window replaced because of vandalism first they ordered the wrong glass and put On the wrong glass a much cheaper one and charged the insurance for $1600 for a second on I bought it to their attention they told me that they'll replace the glass But they will have to use the warranty so that it'll cover app their mistake and then I waited 3 weeks to get a call to cove bring my car back to get the glass replaced with the correct one at that time the technician that they had destroyed my spoiler third break light he ended up breaking all the plastic Clips that hold it in place in the plastic brackets the fasten to the vehicle and then try to glue it with Corking And black tape and told me to not remove the tape For about 3 days so when I remove the tape I wasn't aware that the spoiler was destroyed I thought that the table's only holding the glass in place But as I was removing the tape the whole spoiler came off and it was destroyed there was no way of putting it back the spoiler alone for that vehicle was $2500 I told them about it they told me that they would send someone out and fix it someone came out and he tried to glue it as well and he said that they will replace it that there was no problem after about a month and a 1/2 of waiting for The call To drive it over to get replaced they called me and told me that the bolts that held it down were rusty and that was the reason why it happened But the bolts are not rusty and there were still in place It wasn't the problem the problem was that they broke the plastic clips that the bolts hold down After back-and-forth They told me that I would get a call from a manager and never receive it After trying so many times to get this resolved and then ignoring me I ended up having to replace it myself I thought the vandalism of the glass was the third worst but the experience that I had was safe light and their staff Was even worse and cost me Almost 3 grand to replace Apparently it was only this location I've had friends of mine that went to other locations and had a better experience than I did

Very pleased with the service I received from SafeLite. I noticed a large crack in my windshield on a Sunday afternoon, and it was replaced within a week. Could have been sooner, but my work schedule would only allow for a weekend appointment. I scheduled for the following Saturday, and was assigned between 830am - 130pm. Communication was clear via email and text. I was also called the afternoon prior, and informed that the technician would call in the morning with a more precise time of arrival. The caller took the time to answer all of my questions, including if the replacement would be stock (OEM), if my registration and inspection stickers would be removed and replaced, and when I could wash/drive the car etc.. On Saturday morning, ALEX called with an arrival time, and arrived exactly when he said. He was knowledgeable, prepared and efficient (with 15 years of experience). I had my windshield replaced in my own garage, and it was finished in about an hour! There was one hiccup with the defog sensor not fully adhered (that I noticed was hanging down behind the rearview mirror on Sunday when I drove the car) and the heat constantly switching to AUTO. I minus one star for being unable to contact anyone by phone! I left a message with Customer Care that morning (Sunday).. I tried again several times during the day on Monday to contact them on any phone numbers online and the text Bot (uggh!) to NO avail. Thankfully, I had an early day Monday and was able to drive to the SafeLite shop in LIC, and the problem was quickly fixed by RON in under 10 minutes. PS, I finally got a call back from Customer Care on Wednesday evening responding to my voicemail. Better late than never? All in all, I would recommend SafeLite for fast, efficient and professional glass replacement.

They will tell you it will be done before 5pm on the phone, and when i dropped the car off in the morning, office worker told me that it was going to be done before 4pm. No one called me so I called the 800 number and lady told me that my car was almost done that they were doing the recalibration now, Came 4:50 pm (it says they close at 5pm) I go to office and the guy in long island city office tells me my car hasn’t even been touched yet, that they were backed up, I told him you personally told me to come before 4 pm and I spoke on the phone they said it was being recalibrated. He said “did you talk to me ??? No there is no lady here, I'm here” and he said “it would be done around 6:30-7 pm, and if I didn't like it I can take my car back.” Everyone has a schedule and as a company they assured me that it would be done before 5pm. And no one even bothers to call to let you know and give an update to let you know, I had to go over there myself only to find out my car just sitting there untouched. When the lady on the corporate line told me my car was almost done and being recalibrated now. 1 the office worker was rude and told me i can take my car back if I want when he was the one to tell me come before 4pm it will be done, 2 they never updated me giving me call text nothing 3 on the corporate line and the guy in the office had 2 different info to give me, 4 not even an apology or a sincere conversation It was a bad experience overall, and they charge you arm and a leg for it too

Thank you Safelite AutoGlass website send me to this store. I really appreciate all staffs' s hard work. Comparing the other store at Queens, I am strong recommond you to here. You will get prprofessional service since you made an appointment on line. I got windshield crcak from who tried to steal my whinshield wipper. I tried to make an appointment online but I was not sure if I need replacement or fix it. So I find a Safelite near by my home. I walked in store aroud 9:00 , staff said I have to make an appointment (gave a paper and phone number to call make an appointment), I totally understanding. I back home make an appointment to back store around 2:00. It took less 5 minutes to tell me need replacement whole windshield and will call me when they got order. But..nothing (phone call, confim email )in one week. Lucky me... I made new appointment again. It sent me to Longland city store. 1. Communication via email and text message doing very well. 2. Reception very nice and have patience to explain your questions. 3. Mechanician also remind you don't forget remove tape on next day. I truly believe if staffs has kind heart, work passion and professional skills that their bussiness will run well. That's why I give 5 stars. My windshield doing well so far. Thank you all your good services again.

They took my car at 9:20 am. My appointment wasn't until 10 am. So I was pretty excited. Website says 2 hours to fix. At 12:30 I finally got my car. When I got home I notice I was missing pieces from my wind shield off my sensors. Called the supervisor at the store. They told me they will order the parts and replaced the missing covers. I was like okay, minor mistake. Next day I decided to look at my windshield to get ready to removed my tape. Saw more sloppy jobs. Also, this is my second windshield in 3 months. A rock chip hit it and voided the warranty according to satellite. Second windshield and missing parts. Still waiting on my parts and redo of my windshield. My DVD player also broke because water got into it because of the bad job the second technician did. They fixed my front windshield. Than they had me take my car into a Toyota dealership. They fixed my entertainment system for free. It was $2500. I was in disbelief. But they definitely lost money. Thank you safelite for fixing stuff that your technician broke.

Edit: Almost three months later and despite being told that they would replace my pillar and that they would call me when they got the part, I have heard nothing. I can buy the part online. Good luck trying to get in touch with anyone at this shop. Apparently they can damage your car and not be responsible for it. Zero stars. I don't like to give bad reviews but after getting my windshield on my VW Alltrack on Apr.26 and driving for an hour, I first noticed the bunched and teared fabric on the drivers side pillar. I then checked the rest of the windshield after parking and saw the 1/4" gap on the lower drivers side. Looks like a plastic piece broke off as well. Then, a week later while driving upstate in a rainstorm, and using the wipers for the first time, they started crossing one another. I had to pull over. The nut for the left wiper hadn't been tightened. Just a sloppy job. I am getting a warranty repair today but not at this location.

Beware of Safelte technicians who are /replacing your glass ,my back glass replacement was done by a tech name Bryce. The service he provided on all aspects was very poor. His introduction ( where is your vehicle ? During the glass installation he scratch the trunk of the vehicle, in addition two areas on the vehicle had black caulking residue marks . I didn’t notice these issues right away I was to focus on the glass seal integrity and the removal of glass bits in the back seat of vehicle . Big mistake . Lesson learned. Don’t tip at start of work hoping for better service.take pics of vehicle before and after, inspect the work carefully if not satisfy call your insurance and their shop. Me personally I’m done with safelite. Clients should be treated with respect and appreciation

My insurance offered me the service from Safelite, I am extremely dissatisfied with the poor service provided. I had to bring in my car to the shop a second time after I found a pool of water in one of my weather mats after having the windshield replaced at this location I brought my vehicle back and the second time my windshield appears to be installed properly only to learn that the technician broke the clip of my rearview mirror so now I have to return to have this part replaced. Nothing but aggravation and a total waste of my time. now I must clean my vehicle and try to remove the moldy smell and figure out how I’m going to repair this rearview mirror. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

They will not take responsibility for anything that they break or tear. 1) I had a dash cam camera installed on the window, they did not reinstall it. They just left it hanging on the wire. 2) the inspection sticker was totally torn apart. When I showed it to the guy, he told me that I can just order another one from the DMV. That’s besides the fact that they are fourfold more expensive than any other installer. Worst experience ever. BTW. My appointment was 11 AM and it took them 1 hour before they even looked at the car, extremely unprofessional.

I had a disastrous experience with this place. They replaced my windshield with a pre-scratched one, then damaged my mirror cover and overhead console in the process. They returned to my place for repairs, only to discover the replacement windshield they planned to install was also damaged. Despite the service being under warranty, their incompetence and dishonesty made me lose all trust in them. I strongly advise against using their services. I attached photos with red arrow to show the damages they left on my car. Stay away from this place!
