Bayside Auto Glass

NEVER AGAIN! After reading the reviews, I decided to take my OEM Mercedes windshield here for installation. It was also very close to the Bayside Mercedes parts dept. I dropped off the vehicle with the owner's son Dean, who btw is a very person. I returned after a couple of hrs and the installation appeared to look fine. Drove off and noticed a streak and turned on the wipers to clean. Turns out the wipers were misaligned and would not wipe far enough on the drivers side or go back down to the original position. I called Dean within 5 minutes and he said to come back. Upon returning, his father Mike came out to fix the misalignment. He attempted to align the wipers by just loosening the bolts and pushing/bending the wipers until they were parallel with the bottom base of the windshield then tightened them. After several attempts where he would tell Dean to turn or off the wipers to see if they're aligned, he became visibly frustrated because the wipers would go back to the misaligned position, said the f word and stared at me a couple of times as if I did something wrong. After a another attempt they seemed to be aligned, however, I turned the wipers on as I drove off and sure enough it was back to square one. I ended up taking my car to a mechanic who removed the windshield bolts and wipers completely and aligned them properly. He pointed out that a bolt cap and screws were were missing and by bending and pushing the wipers could strip the teeth or gears of the wiper motor. I will never recommend or refer anyone to this place!

In February, I went out of state to do business, and my car window was smashed. When I returned to New York, I was in a bad mood because I cherish my car very much. Fortunately, I found this car glass repair shop through a search. Because this shop is very close to our home, I went there and was very satisfied with the result. I went there very early that day because I wanted to get my car repaired quickly. The boss's son was very nice and he gave me a very good quote. Because I lived very close, he actually agreed to sent me home and when the car was repaired, he picked me up again. When I saw that my car's glass was repaired, I was very happy because he also helped me clean up the broken glass and my car looked exactly the same as before. Later, my friend told me that it was really a good price，the important things is repaired my car well. Because I have been very busy and have no time to write a review, but I still want to write it because this is really a good store with good service and good prices, I hope to recommend this good shop to more people, and hope that more people can enjoy this kind of good service. This is a very pleasant car repair experience. Think about it, if your car is restored to new, it will be a very happy thing. The most important thing is that the price is very good. I’m very thankful to the owner’s son, and I’m very happy to have such a good store in our community.

Had a nightmare experience at this place, went there to change a part , left my car and my keys.30 minutes later the boss calls me and tells me someone sideswiped my car. The car was destroyed, the owner didn’t want to take responsibility for it even though it was in his possession and on his property.talked to my lawyer and he said I can’t sue because I had no paperwork proving they had my car so I had to pay thousands of dollars out of my pocket to fix it.owner said it was my fault, very rude and disrespectful , they didn’t want their insurance to go up so he lied and made believe he didn’t hear the collision, meanwhile the garage was literally 5 feet from my car.they told me to park the car on the corner as they said it was safe because there was nowhere to park it.they told me to keep coming back originally because they were busy and when I Finally was supposed to do The job this nightmare happened.DONT GO THERE!!!! RUDE AND DONT TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS THERE FAULT.my lawyer told me they were 100% responsible but I was screwed because I had no proof of them doing any work on the car.TRUST ME DONT GO THERE!

NEVER AGAIN! I replaced the windshield for my Honda Pilot recently, and it's been leaking ever since during rainy days. First, they troubleshot and claimed my sunroof drained too slow, so I went to the repair shop and cleaned it with an air compressor; I even cleaned the AC drain tube at the same time. However, there's still water leaking into the car. I went back and I pointed out that the leaking could be either from the bottom because windshield is not flush, or the top molding area because it is not properly aligned, the glass was pushed down from the top. I requested a re-seal, but they arrogantly claimed they have years of experience and never admitted it's their installation problem. Instead, they then claimed the sunroof drain tube above the headliner was the issue. So, I went back to the repair shop and opened the headliner, and found nothing wrong, poured water down the sunroof while the headliner was open and didn't see any water leaking. I will never recommend or refer anyone to this place!

A teeny little pebble boinged off my windshield and made a little chip and then suddenly bam! it became a full fledged crack. After panicking, I started searching places to get it replaced online that had a good reputation and wouldn’t break the bank. Oddly, every place I called did not waste a moment with any sort of greeting or pleasantries, just a barked “what’s your VIN#”? which to me was a little off-putting. Until I called Bayside Auto Glass. I spoke to someone who said hello and did not immediately ask for my VIN#. He took the time to explain everything to me in a very kind and patient manner. We arranged for a time to bring my car in and everything was like he said, down to the last detail. It’s a family business and both father and son were really great to deal with and put me at ease. And my first concern-of not breaking the bank-that was also a huge plus at Bayside Auto Glass! It was definitely less expensive than I thought and most importantly, I can drive safely. So I go to get in my car Monday to go to work and see some SOB smashed out my passenger side window . Yippee ! I go to work and one of my friends there called these guys since /he used them in the past. They quoted $200 to replace it, and it would take an hour or so. So I drive there and as soon as they see me pull up the guy comes out and says " You were the one who called yesterday ?" I was astounded he remembered the conversation. I double checked the price and timeframe. He acknowledged. They took the car in a few mins later and was in an out in around an hour. They really stuck to the time and price and also vacuumed up the mess of glass that was all over my car . Top notch friendly service and while I hope I don't have to, I'll definitely use them for any future glass needs. He uses made in USA parts .Just note its cash only, so hit up the ATM and take out whatever price he quotes you before going

This place came in super clutch. Had a wedding to attend memorial weekend out of state and found out that the quarter rear window was smashed on the Thursday right before I had to drive out. I initially went to the dealership to try to get it resolved. They were able to procure the window but the glass installer they work with would've only been able to come out the following Tuesday, which would've been too late. This place was a life saver. They were transparent from the get go, and even tried to help me reduce my cost by saying they could get the glass from the same dealer, slightly cheaper. I would've taken them up on the offer had I not already bought the glass. Came in, waited for about an hour before they finished and I drove off. Very professional and quick. Fingers crossed I won't have to replace anything in the near future, but definitely would be my go to place if I had to.

This place really went out of their way to help me out and at the best price out of all the other places I called. My window was broken in a robbery; the whole window was completed broken and ripped out, and there were glass shards everywhere. When I called the store they gave me a great rate. When I took the car over not only did the fix the window but they also cleaned up all the glass at no extra cost. On top of that the guy was so nice he even made sure that the window's ability to go up and down was still functional because the window was broken in a way that glass shards could've gotten into the mechanism and broken it. He literally spent an extra 1.5 hours just to make sure it was working properly and had no glass shards in it without charging me extra. If I had to replace it myself it would've cost $300 apparently. So yeah really quality service and pricing here.

I got thief break my rear door glass and I went to the shop,The glass cost 140 in third party,but they charge me labor fee for three hour,i got charge from the shop for 280 dollor,I can do this if I got the glass,they charge me 140 for 3 hour charge rear door glass,my friend told me and I also ask other shop and they told me only 1 hour they can finish the job and only 200 dollor,after I report to the insurance company they reimbursement for 1 hour, I only got 40 dollor from insurance company ,don’t go this shop if you want pay more than other shop,and. Also they doing very bad job for cleaning glass piece,I also call the boss too for that job they’ve done,but was very disappointed what the boss told me then I decide to write this review to give a shop one star, and I want other person to avoid this place!!
