One month ago I brought my car to get my windshield replaced but unfortunately I didn’t know that because of a recent car accident my hood was damaging my windshield, so when the windshield got replaced by this establishment, they didn’t realize the new windshield got damaged when they closed the hood. I understood my hood was the issue & at first they understood as well that it was not my fault the new windshield broke so they told me to bring the car back when I fixed my hood so the windshield can be replaced at no charge. Fast forward to today & I take my car to get the windshield replaced as now the hood is not going to damage the windshield but now all of a sudden it’s all my fault and I’m being treated very rude by the owner trying to tell me it is my hoods fault and that I broke the windshield!! After a lot of argument I was very upset and didn’t want anything to do with them but they told me they would still replace at no charge so I stayed and waited. Then the owner comes up to me when they finished but they said for me to close my own hood so I won’t break it again. Specifically he told the workers “watch the hood closely so she won’t break the windshield again” WHICH IS CRAZY TO ME CAUSE I NEVER DID THIS THE FIRST TIME SO HOW AM I TO BE BLAMED FOR BREAKING THE WINDSHIELD. THE OWNER IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE WHICH I TOLD HIM TO HIS FACE AND TOLD HIM TO WATCH WHAT HE’S SAYING TO ME AS HE WAS ANNOYING ME AT THAT POINT. I’ve never had a company treat me this horribly. In the picture I’ve added you can see where the crack is the first time it was replaced. Thanks for fixing my windshield but NEVER would I recommend this place to anyone. Why would I recommend being treated this way to anyone?? No thank you.

We've used Amity Auto Glass once before. This time was for a vehicle with driver assistance tech that utilizes a camera mounted to the windshield. Insurance only approved aftermarket glass, which was installed and we were advised to have our dealership re-calibrate the camera. Dealer could not re-calibrate, blamed it on the aftermarket windshield. Amity dealt with insurance to have them cover an OEM windshield, which they installed. Our dealer was being a pain about getting the car back to get the windshield done. Amity installs the new window. Back to the dealer. They still can't re-calibrate. Now they blame it on a broken camera. Long story short, Amity indicated they could re-calibrate it, dealership was first demanding $1800 payment to release car, which kept going up. They had the car for nearly two weeks and couldn't re-calibrate. In the end, argued with the dealer to get the car back and brought it to Amity - they re-calibrated the car in less than one day without any issues or need to replace anything!!!! Big A+ to Amity Auto Glass. Tom is a great guy would definitely recommend them!

Cannot say enough good things about this business. Needed a new windshield for my 2004 Acura TL, originally called safelite for a quote ($450). Dropped my car off there to get the job done and they ended up saying they got the wrong glass and couldn't find the correct kind- something about not seeing any options for that model year with a hookup for an automatically adjusting rearview mirror. Understandably I was disappointed, and was recommended Amittyville Auto Glass by my mechanic at GT Precision so I gave them a call. They did the job for literally half what I was quoted at Safelite. While picking up my car I mentioned that I had been dealing with a small leak in the top right of my front pillar for some time and they told me that was something they fix there. I took it back there a month or so later for them to take a look at and they fixed the leak free of charge- saying if they had known before they changed my windshield they would have taken care of it then. Top notch service, top notch people, take your business here and you wont regret it.

I am writing this review because every once in a while you have a truly wonderful experience and are blown away by a company’s professionalism, quality and customer service that goes beyond your wildest expectations. Such was that experience at Amity Auto Glass and dealing with owner Tom. Not only was the workmanship A+ but Tom’s knowledge of all the materials and procedures to be used and conveyance of that information to me made me feel comfortable and confident that my vehicle was in the best of hands. It is so amazing to deal with a company that makes you feel they truly care and want to do the best work possible to make you happy. I understand now why this company has been in business for so many years. Amity Auto Glass is in my book a shining jewel in the industry. My Highest Recommendation!!! Needed a windshield replace and amity glass was recommended by a friend. Upon contacting them, they promised they were able to get me original glass. They ordered the windshield and scheduled me for an appointment. I drive all the way from Yonkers to Amityville the day of...I leave the car and a few hours later they call to tell me that they ordered the wrong part. No problem mistakes happen. They promised to get the correct windshield. They called to tell me they have the correct windshield so I rescheduled. The day before my appointment they call me to let me know that they do not have the windshield and that they are unable to get it until 3 weeks. Very disappointed in this business. Amity auto glass was recommended to me in May 2021 by Chris at Richmond Auto Body... I needed my passenger back window replaced after a tree branch went through it. Excellent service, very reasonable price, in fact, his price was unmatched by any other shop I quoted with... Now, October 2022, my car got broken into, and first, and only, call I made for a quote was to Amity glass... the building manager where my car was parked, recommended taking my car to a guy he knows near that area, and I told him I already got a quote and appointment, he asked how much and when I told him, he said his guy couldn't even come close to that and I was lucky to have a good connection with someone that can do that. I highly recommend Amity Auto Glass, not just for the price but the service that comes with it also!

This is the place to go for most all of your glass needs! (They do home sash glass replacement too) I recently had to replace the windshield on my wife's Ford Escape. Thomas, the owner was able to get the correct replacement overnight! This is a wonderful family owned shop that has been doing work for over 50 years. They are honest, reliable and most importantly, they get the job done correctly! They took care of all the billing with my insurance company as well. A few years ago, I had a very bad experience with that BIG glass company that is always advertising...NOT so Safe*****. Honestly, it was a smooth and easy experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend them more highly!

This place is the only place where they do EVERYTHING they can to help you resolve your issue. The main guy went over and beyond to help me with my crossfire back window and was able to get a brand new vinyl top covered by comprehensive insurance in full. He went over and beyond to help me with my broken window. I will never go anywhere else because their service is EXCEPTIONAL. I worked @Allstate for years and never knew a place that did everything to help. The car looked brand new and beautiful. IF YOU NEED A GLASS REPLACEMENT DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE AND YOU WILL SEE WHY I WENT ONCE AND WILL TAKE EVERY CAR THERE THAT NEEDS A NEW GLASS OR HAS ANY CRACKS. BEST PLACE EVER.

Our rear windshield broke and I got an appointment through our insurance through another glass company. We called on Saturday and I was given an appointment for what I thought was the following Tues. On Tuesday, I found out the appointment was for another week out. I called Amity Auto to see if they could fix it any sooner. Not only were Amity Auto Glass covered through our auto insurance but they fixed it the very next day. They picked up and dropped off the car, were extremely accommodating, friendly, and provided great service. I'm so happy that i have a company that I can use in an emergency situation and trust! Used Amity a few years ago and was very pleased with the price and workmanship. Not sure if Ownership or Management changed but had the feeling they did not want help me out with my cars glass. Never received call backs to schedule an appointment. If a business doesn't want a job they should just say so to the customer instead of trying to make us go away. Asked legit questions and got attitude. I'm not a glass expert so I ask questions. I would not recommend this company. Just because a business has been the Bethpage best of long island for several years in a row doesn't mean they are the best.
