Hi, Walker Automotive Glass is professional and prompt. They did an excellent job installing the windshield in my 2022 Outback, They have a good warranty with one big exception. Their warranty is only good in Albuquerque, NM. If you are travelling out of the Albuquerque area, or if you have moved out of the area, their warranty is null & void. There is no affiliation with another company to do any needed repair. My windshield was installed on August 1, 2024 and it has a massive leak in the upper section of the passenger side. I have pictures of the leak, and a video of the water just pouring onto my wife sitting in the passenger seat. I called Walker today to ask about the warranty and was told, very politely, that I would have to bring the car into them to get it repaired. Well, I have moved 4 states away, approximately 13 hours driving, and no longer live in New Mexico so I cannot bring the car back. I called Safelight, which was my other option in August 2024 to replace the windshield, but I decided to go with a local, small business. I will never do that again - I knew better but decided to try anyway. The move out of state was unexpected - a possibility, but no immediate opportunity. However, this one did arise and I had to take it. Now, I am going to be out another $1,200 to get this Outback windshield replaced for the third time, if not the fourth, since we bought the car in August 2022. The Subaru Outback windshields are the weak link of this year Outback, especially in Albuquerque with the rocks being thrown up on the road. I called Safelite in my new city to remove & reinstall the windshield that does not have any chips or any cracks - it is a perfect, 6-month old windshield. However, Safelight will not do that - their policy requires them to replace the windshield. Replace a perfectly good windshield just because it leaks? GREAT!! What will that cost $1,200? This will be the 3rd or 4th time to replace this windshield in 2.5 years of owning this car. 2, or was it 3 rocks, and now a leak due to faulty installation. This is just sad. Do not use Walker Automotive Glass if there is any remote chance of leaving the Albuquerque area. They are prompt, professional, polite, and have a good warranty - IF you will remain in the Albuquerque area. My recommendation for Walker is to find a way to become affiliated with a nationwide warranty program to alleviate this issue. I should have anticipated this since I knew I wanted to leave Albuquerque eventually - I just had no idea the opportunity would come within 6 months of getting this new windshield. I also did not realize it would leak - none of the Safelight installed windshields have ever leaked, on any of my vehicles since I moved to Albuquerque in 1989. This is the first ever leak. My fault for deciding to support a local business....never again.

I'll save you time by telling you to just call Walker Glass. I got an irrepairable crack on my windshield the same weekend I bought my vehicle and put off fixing it for 3 years just because the amounts I had been quoted by other businesses bothered me more than the crack itself. My sister had her windshield replaced by Walker Glass and recommended them to me. They even go to where you are so it's super convenient. The work done is excellent quality and they even put my windshield wipers on for no extra charge. And even after 3 years of getting quotes from other glass installers, no one came near to the price I ended up paying with Walker Glass. They're courteous, professional, convenient and I doubt you'll be able to get the quality and service they provide at a better price!

A very honest and kind business! My sunroof literally flew off my car months ago and I reached out to Walker Automotive Glass for help. After looking endlessly for the right sunroof, they found out it was after market installation, which was the reason we couldn’t find the right size glass at first! More digging on their part led to the realization that my sunroof had a recall. The amount of time and effort put into my sunroof, despite learning it would be taken care of by the manufacturer, was beyond appreciated. It felt like this business cared as much as I did to get my car back safe on the road, even if they didn’t have to work on the car themselves. Thank you and I will recommend this business to friends/family for future needs!PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

I recently got a large "starburst" ding on my windshield while driving down Tramway to care for my elderly mother. I called Subaru for a recommendation, and they said they used Walker Auto Glass. When I called and spoke with Levi, the owner, he said that if the damage was able to be repaired, the cost would be $50. When Levi arrived right on time the following morning, he could not have been more kind, understanding and helpful -- and he expertly performed the repair in short order. I am 71 and have many challenging responsibilities right now -- and having this repair done so quickly at my home and at such an incredibly low price meant the absolute world to me. Thank you, Levi!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Very satisfied with the entire experience replacing the windshield of my 2018 Subaru Outbook. From the initial phone conversation with Shelby to driving the car home and finding the lane-change calibration working perfectly, I found Walker Auto Glass reasonably priced, professional, and responsive. The installation process (which took just over an hour) was made quite pleasant by their comfortable waiting area, which includes a Keurig coffee maker, a nice TV with what looked like a broad selection of streaming channels, and a quality Wi-Fi connection. I had called around to around ten windshield-repair shop, chose Walker, and I'm glad I did. highly recommend this shop.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Great customer service. I blew out my rear window on a road trip . I was in Taos heading to Albuquerque . I called Walker auto glass and spoke with the owner Levi and he was able to scan and see what warehouses had my replacement window for a unique VW eurovan. They are few and far between. He said he would not have one Albuquerque but explained my closest options, Colorado springs and that it would be easier to drive to Colorado Springs and have it done there rather than trying to ship it to his shop. He saved me a great deal of leg work and provided me with the best solution knowing he would not make and money on this deal. A true helpful gentleman, so I would highly recommend.

This place is amazing! We were traveling across country in our class B van when the windshield broke. Saw the ratings for this place and decided to try them out as Albuquerque was on our route. We got in right at 8:00 a.m. as scheduled and they were done by 9:15. They even let our two doodles hang out in the lobby while we waited. Can’t say enough about how responsive and professional the entire team was. The windshield is perfect, with calibration all set. Only wish they had a branch in St. Petersburg, Florida. If you need a new windshield or a windshield repair, this is the place to go. Class act.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

The good news: People at Walkers were polite and the work was completed on time. The windshield looks good. Time will tell. The bad news: Called Monday and got a quote of $309 plus tax. Job completed today, got the bill for $340 plus tax.Talked with Shelby about this and just got lame excuses pretty much blaming me for the difference. Told her if the "boss" wanted to call me to discuss this, give me a call. Unfortunately, this small business never heard of "the customer is always right". Make sure you get a quote in writing from them or you may get "the old bait and switch". With over twenty auto glass companies in town, look elswhere. Deane Pomeroy

Within a week of bringing by brand new VW Atlas to New Mexico, I got a huge crack from a rock on my windshield. This is a high tech windshield with rain sensing wipers, cruise control assist, and lane departure correction. Walker came to me and replaced it at half the price the dealership wanted. They did excellent work even with the complicated job. I was pleased so also had them do some chip repairs to my jetta. Also good work. I would recommend them for the inevitable glass repair you'll need driving in New Mexico.PositiveResponsiveness, Punctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Value
