Southwest Auto Glass

The guys at Southwest Auto Glass (SWAG?) are very professional. I decided to go with them after Googling my options for windshield replacement in Las Vegas. I’d just returned to Vegas after a short trip overseas (my mom was sick). We parked our car at Green Valley Ranch for dinner, and returned to a smashed rear windshield, my luggage missing. After reading some of the Google reviews for SWAG, I decided to go with them instead of Safelite. I knew that Safelite’s “limited time offer” meant that they didn’t want me comparing rates, likely because they were charging me more than other companies — about 33% more, as it turned out. I was distraught about my broken windshield and hadn’t wanted to face that whole situation, which meant that I didn’t manage to clean up the broken glass before Aaron from SWAG came by to replace the windshield. He vacuumed all the broken glass and straightened up the random mess in the back of my car, which was really nice. Thank you, SW Auto Glass.

Had my rear passenger window smashed out on a Thursday night and they were able to get me in Friday when it was convenient for me. Offered to come to me for free to replace it but decided to just bring it in since as a tech I’m sure it’s easier being in your own shop. Nice little waiting area in their office. Told me it would be a little over an hour to replace it. About 15 minutes in Tracy told me that their supplier sent the correct sleeve over but it had the wrong window in it so they were bringing the new one over which would take an extra 40ish minutes. Even with the delay I was still out the door within an hour of getting there so it was even quicker than I initially expected. And they were able to refer me to a couple window tinting places to get my front windows matched. Hope I don’t need their services again but if I do I will definitely go back if I do.

Getting a windshield replaced from Southwest AutoGlass is, the equivalent of having a dentist work on your teeth with primitive wooden tools. It works I guess? After haggling on the phone with prices (Went like an auction), I got my first windshield from them. Only to find that my Igor of a technician had put a large crack in the brand new windshield..... I called SWAG', and after a brief argument of responsibility, I got the right way with them. But the next technician showed up in a big ol' lifted truck and caused a disturbance in my neighborhood. It was all just a mess of experience. I am also forever reminded of this experience everytime I drive, my windshield has a small air leak that makes my car sound like a space ship. A little difficult to find, just store id on their glass door. So don't be looking for a big sign on the building. That said, the work looks good (better than my previous install with saf***te when I had pieces of glass laying around). The local customer service (Cruz) was A1. I called several times: for a quote, set up an appointment, rescheduled, for directions...and every time, no worries. The price quoted was dead on, no extras pushed on, and I got a small discount for doing this review (which I was going to do anyway). Lifetime chip repair, and home visit included. This was out-of-pocket, but the price was very decent, way less than my deductible, so a no-brainer! One month later: Had to adjust the rearview mirror next morning so my visors don't hit it. Aside from that, no problems.

Never managed to get my glass replaced by them, my phone was in airplane mode when technician called and when I called back 20 minutes later they had moved on for the day. Windshield made car undrivable and they suggested I drive it to their location on the vegas strip to get it repaired. Not cool southwest auto glass! Wonky customer service experience, ended up going with big national chain because I needed this done when I scheduled with them to have it done. Not pleased with at all with communicating with this company. Update, just got another call from this company asking me to drive my car to their service center. Their team does not even talk to each other well!

Highly recommended! My windshield was damaged during the recent storms we had so I called SW Auto Glass for a quote. From the initial call to the end of the installation their customer service and quality of the installation was outstanding. They got me scheduled only a couple days after I called, and the time it took to install was quick as well. Everything looks great so far, and the glass is of very good quality, probably better than OEM Honda glass. Drew and Raymond are great at what they do. Not to mention, SW also has the lowest price in town. Definitely call them if you need your glass in your car fixed or replaced!

Changed my windshield and rain sensor never worked again correctly. Called to rectify, and was told that’s how it’s supposed to be. So I guess not working, is how it’s supposed to be. Was promised they would order another windshield to see if maybe that one was faulty, and when I called again after a few weeks, this manager, Pete, told me that they cannot replace the windshield they had installed , because it’s considered used now!! While driving on 215 E. a huge rock popped up and did the unthinkable to my windshield! Not that something like this ever happens at a good time but this is the absolute worst time for me! Anyhow after a few high quotes I called Southwest Auto Glass and they gave me a reasonable price, however, I decided to call on more company. The other company was about $22 less, so I called Southwest Auto Glass and the matched the price with no issue. Alan came by and was done in no time, beyond professional and helpful. Derrick was soooo incredibly nice. The service was quick, efficient and super affordable. I had parked my car in the garage and someone broke my rear window and left, it’s Saturday and I figured everywhere was closed but Derrick was nice enough to have someone fixing my window that day before my drive back to LA. There’s nothing quite like someone being nice and saving you last minute like that.
