Clear Quality Auto Glass

I went to Clear Quality Auto Glass for a windshield replacement on my Tesla Model Y based on their promise to replace and tint the windshield simultaneously. While Dustin was very nice and genuinely trying to help, my experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. They ordered the wrong windshield three times, and I had to go back to the shop each time, only for them to realize it wasn’t the correct one. It became clear they were ordering cheap aftermarket windshields instead of the original Tesla part. After I told them to order the OEM Tesla windshield using my VIN, they claimed they weren’t allowed to order directly from Tesla. I had to explain how to register on the appropriate website to source Tesla parts, which finally worked—on the fourth visit. As for the tinting, they used a cheap film that wasn’t the ceramic Phantom S9 I requested, and the tint wasn’t even 50% as agreed. It’s more like 25%, which makes the sun blinding and the cabin uncomfortably hot, even in cooler weather. To make matters worse, my Full Self-Driving (FSD) is now completely non-functional. They promised to recalibrate the FSD system after the windshield replacement but failed to do so. Now I’m stuck with error messages, and the system won’t work at all. To top it off, the plastic windshield molding flew off after the repair. It felt like this was their first Tesla windshield replacement, and they didn’t know what they were doing. The worst part is that after I noticed these issues, I texted them and got no response. Dustin didn’t even bother to call me back. I would strongly recommend avoiding this shop. They may mean well, but they clearly lack the experience, professionalism, and follow-through to handle Tesla repairs—or even basic customer service. Just sad.

Went in for a re-tint, appointment was at 1pm. Didn't get the car back until 6:30pm (after closing hours). They are definitely understaffed in all areas. Here are all the negatives: -They removed the back windshield to take the old tint off, but didn't bother to call and ask if that's okay with the owner. -Back windshield is now all scratched up, improper use of tools. (razor marks). -window tint scraps and tape all over the car; they didn't even bother to clean up -Adhesive/tar all over the back sits and roof liner - Tar & debris are trapped between the window and the tint. -bunch of imprecations on every window they tinted. They couldn't manage to do one window correctly. -got the car back with the battery completely drained, which triggered codes (eventually cleared once the battery charged, but how and why was my car battery drained while they had the car). For the positives, there aren’t any. I even tried contacting the owner before writing this review and give him feedback on my experience which he turned down by saying he was "busy" with a customer after reception told him the reason for my call, Pete didn't even offer for a follow u. There is no point in "lifetime warranty" on all your work, if the end result is a complete fail and just damaging the car in the process. I would rather pay someone else to fix their mistakes, than go back to Clear Quality Auto Glass and deal with their complete lack of customer service and inability to do the job correctly. 0/5ServicesVehicle window tinting

Had a windshield installed on my car at my house. It was warped and had white lines in between the glass. I had to drive to the place so they could do a warranty claim. After a half hour of arguing with the two guys about it being defective, they finally decided to put a different windshield in. Just so happened they had one sitting in the shop. Total stressful situation! The one guy said hes been doing this for 30 years and never seen a defective windshield! And they left a nice gouge in my door jamb body kit! Oh and the windshield slipped down on the passenger side on the way home! I don't recommended this place at all. Also your reply is false! After 30 minutes of arguing with me about the windshield I did get upset, but not like you are supposing. Also there was black rubber from the guys tool he used at the dash area on the gouge on the rocker panel. And as far as working with me on this, I wouldn't like you work on my lawnmower! I've already had it replaced from a company that had windshields that don't have coke bottle effect windshields.

The windshield from my 2016 Chevrolet Cruz was a hot mess after a few rocks hit it on the drive from Texas to Vegas. I couldn’t get my windshield cracks immediately fixed, so they didn't take long to spread (see photo). I was initially going with Safelite, but after reading their reviews from several locations, I decided to look elsewhere. I came across Clear Quality Auto Glass, and after reading their reviews, I immediately emailed them to request a quote and set up an appointment. Their quote was $120 cheaper than Safelite, and an appointment was available the next day. My vehicle was taken in within a few minutes of arriving at my appointment and was ready within less than an hour (the wait time I was given on the quote from Safelite was 2.5 hours). After given a couple of aftercare instructions, I was on my way out. Customer service was spot on, and a lifetime warranty was included with my new windshield. I can't thank the crew enough for their timely and professional service. I highly recommend Clear Quality Auto Glass on South Decatur.

Yesterday around 3pm I had my car window broken in and my purse stolen. With all of my cards/ID's stolen I was lost as to how I was going to get my window fixed before the day had ended. I called Clear Quality Auto Glass and they went ABOVE and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. They assured me I could pay via Apple Pay, and even though it was getting close to their closing time, they told me they would happily help me with my window before the day ended. Due to traffic I arrived only 15 minutes before they closed, but Pete assured me he would be able to fix my window. Not only did he fix my window, he also cleaned up all of the glass that was shattered into my car - ALL WITHIN AN HOUR. Pete was so kind and was the ONLY person who was able to give me any good news following the break-in. As a girl who was a bit shaken from the events that occurred that day, Clear Quality Auto Glass was able to put me a bit at ease, and made me feel safe driving home. I very much appreciate all of your help Pete! Thank you thank you!!!

I had shopped around for a replacement windshield for far too long before I found one that was affordable enough for me to buy. I am glad I didn’t get one that was overly advertised with tv commercials and catchy jingles trying hard to make a sale because my new windshield looks great and I love the way it is so clean and clear! I can see very easily now without any glares or cracks in the way. The technician was right on time, got to work right away at my own house and got the job completed in a timely manner (approximately 30 minutes) This was the best price I had been able to find for the replacement as well which was about 100 dollars less than the other quotes I received and the mobile service provided was included at no extra cost! I am very pleased with this company’s quality of service as well as their fair pricing. I’m sure Clear Quality Auto Glass will make you feel the same way as I do when you choose to go to them for your car or truck window repairs!

Needed a full windshield repair due to a handful of rocks completely damaging the bottom left corner of my windshield. Called Clear Quality Auto glass and spoke to a gentleman named Danny who was delightful to speak with and had amazing customer service. I let him know what happened and what I needed and he was actually able to get me scheduled, come to me, and get me taken care of same day which made everything even better! He sent out Junior who was just as pleasant to deal with, again, amazing customer service. He was communicative and fast. The price was affordable which is why I was able to get it done same day. I had a horrible experience with this glass repair shop. They were supposed to repair my windshield, but they failed not once, not twice, but three times. Every single time, something was wrong with the replacement. I ended up wasting so much of my time going back and forth, only to find out that in the end they damaged my car. After spending a significant amount of money and time I expected at least a proper repair, but I’m left with more issues than when I started. The service was unprofessional and the lack of attention to detail is unacceptable. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. Save your time, your money and your car.
