I had a small rock chip on my windshield that - from experience with many such chips - was well within the scope of repair. The original technician showed up hours prior to the scheduled time block, and never called the number provided (I don’t have cell phone access during my work day) to tell me he was en route to do the scheduled windshield *repair* that I authorized. I had nobody available to let him into the vehicle, and the service could not be completed accordingly. When the repair was rescheduled, the service was mysteriously changed to a windshield *replacement* without my knowledge or authorization - a service requiring me to pay an insurance deductible. I made arrangements to have the vehicle accessible during this second service attempt, and came home to find my windshield replaced, which also took my ExpressToll highway toll sticker with it, leaving me to pay out-of-pocket toll rates for a weekend trip. When I called to sort this out, the response from the location manager, Chris, was to tell me that service was already completed and I owed the $100 deductible, regardless of my authorization to do said work. When I politely but assertively told him that I had a problem with that, and that he would need to provide proof that I authorized said work before I paid, he went straight to “I’m just going to turn this over to collections and let them put this on your credit”. My response was, “no problem - I’ll just head straight to Google [along with Safelite corporate offices], leave a review, and do you the same solid for you”. So, here we are. Be forewarned, folks, and take your business elsewhere.

We went in for a crack in our windshield that the employee was sure could be fixed, unfortunately it wasn't able to be. During this visit the service tech was nice, helpful, and honest but the office staff was very rude. We tried to schedule a time to get the windshield replaced but never heard back, and when we tried calling back apparently the person we spoke with had completely screwed up the appointment and our account so all of the information had been lost. The new person took everything down and said they would get back to us about the appointment and never called back. So the work they did seemed fine, but dealing with the office staff wasn't worth the hassle.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Scheduled an appointment for Thursday 6/25, wife took off work and technician did not show up, call, or text. Now they've automatically rescheduled for Monday 6/30 which does not work. Getting the run around from the national call center and when I call the local number it just goes to a virtual assistant. I've now spent 30+ minutes (and counting) of my time today trying to reach someone that knows anything. It appears they respond to reviews so maybe this will get them to contact me. Will update review if they somehow make this right, but at this point I don't recommend using Safelite if you're in the Omaha area.

Took my black ram trx in for a windshield replacement. Everything went well up until the tech moved the truck in the shop where me and others in the waiting room heard the tech rev the truck 4 or more times. One guy beside me spoke " didn't know reving the truck was part of the procedure to replace a windshield...." . I went outside to speak about it and was brushed away . Then when the truck was taken to get it's recalibration done ...they once again abused it 3 more times. Then to put icing on the experience...they left it unlocked in the parking lot for hours. Take vehicles here at your own risk.

This company takes your money up front. After waiting 5 hours for road side service, the tech was a no show, even though I sent messages and called. When I try to contact the shop and company, it looped through the automated system. I then chatted and spoke with two reps and one supervisor. I requested an immediate refund for the no show. They would not give me back my 320.00. I have to contact the shop or call on Monday and speak with customer service. This is a scam. On top of it all, I got a quote for 307.00 they charged 320.00 after 50.00 coupon. Don't trust this company.

I had my windshield replaced by Safelite a few years ago and installation went fine. I was happy with it (especially the convivence) so when I needed it replaced again I went back to them. Tech Elijah came out to my work to install this new one. He was very polite, professional, and did a great job! After driving my truck I noticed it seemed more quiet than the previous windshield. The windshield itself is nice and clear and free of any scratches. If I need another replacement in the future I'll ask for Elijah again. Thank you sir for a job well done!!

It seems extremely unfortunate that I am unable to get a simple price quote to replace a windshield. I tried the chat function and they asked for your first and last name, phone number, email address, etc. And when I tried calling for a simple price quote, they refer you to the website where you can use their chat function (taking us back into a loop). I guess it’s impossible to speak to an actual live person. Very unfortunate, especially for folks who are older and don’t know how to use their smart phone and or navigating their website.

Started out with a dime size ding. Took it in and the windshield ended up cracking to about a foot in each direction from original center of impact when they tried to fill it. Had to make another appointment to get the windshield replaced (a 4 hour appointment). The people there are friendly, professional, and answered all of my questions. The new windshield seems fine (no cracks or dings)...it just sucks to have gone in for an initial free repair (insurance covered) to then have to pay $850 for a new windshield ($1k deductible).

Terrible, missed appointment, no calls. Scam service. One quote, then try to sell their glass after quoting OEM. Lie about their service & product. On and on. I DID NOT FALL TO THEIR SCAM. BEWARE!!! Call your insurance agent and report. I did and I wasn’t the only one. Plus all of their silly upsells are junk. They prey on you not knowing what is up. Next call goes to the insurance commissioner. Please help yourself and protect your investment!!! I would give 0 stars but system doesn’t allow. Imagine that, LOL.

Amazing customer service. Exceptional communication, amazing job installing the glass and cleaning up all the glass. Overall, extremely satisfied. Have used Safelite in the past and I will definitely be using them in the future if I need them due to their exceptional customer service and service . I was able to get an appointment same day. They came out to me, had amazing communication when they would be there and an amazing job on replacing my window. Couldn’t be more happier. I recommend them to other.
