I came to 4831 N 90th St location at 1:48 pm Saturday 12-28-2024 to see if they had time to squeeze me in to fix a rock chip in my windshield on my 2021 Cadillac Escalade. The gentleman with a long beard said "No but we can set up an appointment for Monday 12-30-2024 at 10:00 am." I asked how much would it be he told me "$175 but we have a promotion and I can do it for $150. I said ok and I left but when I showed yesterday at 9:55 am for my appointment just to have this guy act like he has never seen me before. I came in he asked if he can help me I said yes I havea appointment at 10:00 am. he ask my name I told him he said "I don't have you in the system is it under a different name?" I said no. "Ok what's your phone number?..... nope I don't have anything under that number". I said that is impossible I have been here before on two other vehicle's one rock chip and the other new windshield and this would have been a third time. He said "I can get you in Friday January 3rd 2025 and it would be a all day job plus there is a Porsche coming in today at 10:00 am.". I said all day for a rock chip in my windshield that's a 30 minute job best. I said this does not meet my schedule especially one where I leave my vehicle here all day that's ludicrous. I work in customer service where I see people face-to-face on average 30 people a day, 5 days sometimes 6 a week. That is 150 people a week and 600 a month and each tell a person not to do business here you looking at 1,200 people in loss potential revenue give or take 2%. Worst off there was no apology or even a sorry for the inconvenience that happened. Instead tried to me look like I made a mistake when he saw me put the time and day in my calendar. I'm starting to feel like he took a look at me and prejudiced me and didn't want to help me.

If you have a newer vehicle with rain sensors and lane departure I would not recommend this company to replace your windshield. I dropped my car off at 730am Wednesday morning 30 minutes before they open. I spoke to the gentleman and told him I need a OEM windshield because all of the safety features. He told me no problem your vehicle will be ready no later than 430pm. I didn't hear anything from the location so I decided to call at 4:07pm since I work 30 minutes away and I will have to catch a Uber to pick up my vehicle. I spoke to the lady and she told me your vehicle will be ready for pick up by 5pm. So I got a Uber so I could be there before they close. As I'm getting off the interstate at 4:42pm a lady calls me and say did anyone call you today and tell you we can't fix your windshield today because you need a OEM windshield and we would need to order it, I told her no but I just called and the lady said my vehicle would be ready by 5. Long story short my vehicle was there from 730amd - 445pm with no update or anything. No apology or anything? I got there and the gentleman just handed me my key, he didn’t verify if it was my vehicle or not! This is my first and last time using Safelite and I'm very disappointed in my experience here. Had a smash and grab drivers side window broken. Appointment for 7:30 am, no cutoff time warning ever given when making the appointment. Morning of the appointment a severe thunderstorm sweeps in as I was getting ready to go, and not knowing how long my car would be sitting and waiting I had to tape plastic wrap on the window to keep inside dry. My wife tries to call and explain that we will be late but no real person answers the phone to explain the situation to. Due to thunderstorm conditions and taping the window we get there at 7:50 in the middle of the thunderstorm and they won’t even let us leave the car until the next day to see if it can be fit in for repair. They ended up offering an appointment a week away. Their front desk staff was never rude but seemed devoid of empathy for the situation and did not appear to want to go the extra mile to help a customer. I understand the need to keep appointments and respect others times, but they wouldn’t have an inconvenience if it sat in the lot until the next day and they had to tell us they couldn’t get to it. Will try other companies and make sure to be exactly on time for the appointment next go around. Update a nearby location has our Heart and was over 100 dollars less expensive.NegativeResponsiveness

Took a big rock to the windshield in Illinois that created about a 6 inch wide break pattern. after getting back to Nebraska, I scheduled an appointment with Safelite through my USAA insurance. Safelite was very diligent about sending me reminders prior to the appointment and I highly recommend agreeing to the text message updates as repairs are being made at the shop. Michael was my technician and did a fantastic job. In fact he was done in less than an hour. The windshield looks amazing and he even vacuumed the interior and washed all of the windows. Check in and check out was easy and there was no hassle. They did ask me if I wanted them to install new wipers but I felt I could do it at a cheaper price and they didn't try to force me or convince me to do otherwise. I like that. I don't understand some of these negative reviews. Some of you people expect red carpet treatment and everything to go perfectly for you or else you're outraged and offended. What a sad existence.PositivePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, ValueServicesAuto windshield replacement

Somehow damaged the electrical components when getting my rear windshield replaced and now my liftgate is broken. Safelite refuses to cover the damages their tech caused to my car so I am probably going to be out another several hundred dollars to fix my liftgate after spending a large amount of money to get the window replaced after a thief broke it and stole everything in the back. Update: I managed to get it in to another mechanic and they found the Safelite tech had broken a pressure switch/sensor in my liftgate. After that component was replaced, the liftgate worked as normal. Luckily not as expensive of a fix as I had feared, but still an extra unnecessary expense for something the tech did but was unwilling to take responsibility for. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt I will never be going to Safelite again for glass replacements. I hope I never need to do this again, but I'm sure I can find a small business who will actually handle my vehicle with care.

Had an awesome experience with Safelite — especially with my tech, Elijah! Elijah came out to my house to replace the windshield on my BMW , and he was professional, on time, and incredibly thorough. Not only did he do a clean install, but he also recalibrated the camera system right there on-site — no hassle at all. What made this even more meaningful was that I had previous damage from a towing company (Eli Towing) that left me super frustrated. Safelite was able to fix that damage as part of the windshield job, and Elijah handled it like a pro. Customer service was smooth from start to finish, and I paid $0 out of pocket since it was covered by insurance. I’d recommend Safelite — and Elijah specifically — to anyone needing reliable, high-quality glass service. Thanks again for getting me safely back on the road!

Can’t give zero stars. Windshield had large shatter driving to Omaha last week. Scheduled to get replaced so would not have to drive back home over 6 hours with basketball size shatter. Scheduled for replacement. Tech gave us a time range he would show. No show No call. After 5. I reached out to him. He lost track of time and forgot to call. They rescheduled it for next day (Saturday ). Again no show no call after being told it would be around 3-4:00. At 5:30 I reached out and heard back after 6 he got behind. We had to drive back home with a shattered windshield. Luckily weather was clear. Somebody could have reached out to us to keep us advised if running behind. We adjusted our visit activities around getting windshield replaced and didn’t get it fixed. HORRIBLE

I had a great experience. They fixed a chip in my windshield, at my place of employment, a few years ago. Then just yesterday replaced it due to hail damage. I got online, told them what I needed, they sent me a quote, I scheduled a time to take it in. Then I was sent emails letting me know of my confirmation and who I was to be fixing my glass. When I got there I was met by Mike. He took my keys and told me to make myself at home in the lobby. I was told it could be up to 1&1/2 hours. I expected longer. I sat in the waiting room & in an hour, it was done and ready to go. Thanks Mike! You did a great job. Oh and the young lady at the welcome desk was very polite too. I will tell my friends about your excellent service and reasonable prices. Thanks again.

I paid $500 to replace my windshield. Within 2 weeks, it got a chip. I had to pay another $150 to repair the chip. Three days later, the repair failed, and the glass started to splinter. There's also a big circle of glue on the windshield from the repair that won't wipe clean. A month later, there are multiple splinter in the glass, and the only thing they will offer me is a $150 credit on replacing my windshield a second time. There was supposed to be a 30 day warranty on the glass if it was a faulty peice of glass. They refuse to honor that warranty. Now I'm $650 out of pocket with a faulty window.ServicesAuto windshield repair, Auto windshield replacementPrice assessmentOverpriced

Tried calling to get a quote & it's an automated service. After several tries it finally said someone would be with me shortly. Within seconds it gave another recording telling me to go online for my quote. If they can't take two minutes to speak with a potential customer, I'm assuming they truly don't want my business or they would answer a phone. Many like myself aren't comfortable with doing business such as this online or without being able to get a name of an employee to verify something was agreed upon. Can't say what kind of job they do other than to say customer service doesn't seem to be a priority for this company........
