A couple of weeks ago, on September 8th @10AM at the Jefferson City, MO Safelite location, I had an appointment to get my windshield replaced on my Gray 2007 BMW 335i. My appointment was originally scheduled for September 2nd, although, they failed to get my windshield in time for the first appointment so we had to reschedule, which was not a huge deal for me. When I arrived on September 8th, technician Kevin, backed my car into a rental scooter that was parked on the sidewalk, he then proceeded to keep driving as if nothing had happened. 5 minutes after I leave, I get a call from Kevin saying that they did not have the trim molding and could not install the windshield without it and that I would have to pick up the car and reschedule for another time, I was extremely frustrated after this. When I arrived I immediately noticed the dent/scrape from Kevin's accident and he proceeded to deny that he backed into the scooter when I accused him. I told him to cancel my appointment with them, and the next day I got my windshield replaced at Marks Mobile Glass for an even cheaper price, I will now go to them for glasswork from now on. As for the damage to my rear bumper, I am now being quoted to have it repainted as the damage was far more than just a scrape in the paint and it will need bodywork. This has not been the only bad experience I've had at this Safelite location, I took my Infiniti G35 in about a year ago and they failed to properly lay down the glue and I was having a massive air leak through my windshield, which I fixed myself by buying some window sealer from Walmart. I will never go back to the Jefferson City location or any Safelite for that matter, and I encourage everyone who is reading this review to go get a quote from Marks Mobile Glass, which is just down the street.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

Clown show. First off, I never give 1 star reviews as I think there is generally something positive, not in this case. Set up a windshield replacement through Geico. Chose Jeff City for location. Got a call almost immediately verifying date and time, so good to go. About an hour later I get a call from Columbia shop asking to set appt. Explained I had already done so in Jeff City. This should have been a red flag. So I arrive early in Jeff City for my appt to find they have the wrong glass. The guy I'm dealing with acts as if it's my fault, which I found amusing, but I explained that all the vehicle info was provided and contrary to what he obviously believed, I had nothing to do with the ordering process. So, he resets the appt for the following Saturday, first thing (8am). Well, I show up at 8 and the shop is closed. Not a light on in the building. So I call Safelite and get a very apologetic kid on the phone. He pulls up my number and asks me very confused which shop I was currently at because he shows two work orders for the same car, at the same time, at two different shops, Jeff City and Columbia. I explain what I had been through so far and I was sitting at the Jeff location. He tells me to hang on that he is gonna try to call the manager. Two minutes later he says, even more apologetically, that he can't get a hold of anyone at that store. So I just told him to cancel and that I would find a local shop because this whole process has been a circus. Used Safelite before with mixed results but going through Geico makes it easy. Never again. Save yourself the aggravation and go to a local shop, they're everywhere, most will bend over backwards for your business.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

They only took 15 minutes to fill my crack in my windshield, however that service is supposed to be a 30-40 minute job which is also what I was told by the technician and that it was going to take a little extra time because he was finishing another project. I thought when they finished quickly that my car was given utmost importance. Now, I see the technician most likely wanted to hurry and finish my car to just get it out of the way so he could finish his other project. Less than 24 hours later the "fixed" chip has spidered out and cracked my windshield. This could have been prevented with more care and time put into the work. After getting my windshield replaced 4 months ago, now I'm out another entire windshield simply because of careless work.

Sloppy damaging work. Several years ago. Worker used a screwdriver to pop out some panels around my vipers for windshield removal. When he did this, it chipped off paint from my fenders! Causing rust. My challenge would have been proving this and what could the company do to rectify? Windshield was garbage compared to the original - distorted glass - trash. Insurance paid, i paid deductible. Never let anyone work on mu cars because of this.

Safelight called at the last minute to cancel my appointment on Friday. After rescheduling for the same time Monday they failed to show up for the appointment and failed to contact me to let me know. When I called I was put on hold for 15 minutes before I got a person on the phone who’s only response was “oh he’s running late”. Completely unprofessional, do not recommend

Had them repair a small chip. Within in a couple of days a huge crack appeared. Went back and was told they didn't want to call it a failed fix because the tech wouldn't get his bonus, but they would give me a discount on a new windshield. Was told the new windshield would be there in two days. It took four days and no discount. I won't be going back.

Safelite Auto Glass came to my house and removed my door glass then didn't have a replacement so they taped a shopping bag to my truck and left, when I called they said it would be three weeks before they could get a replacement window. A realy shitty company, now I'm left with wind noise and a flopping bag on my window. Very professional

Broke a part in the door while replacing a window and then they didnt want to fix it Told me it happens. and wanted me to pay for the part. Even took it to far when they actually called me and told me the local part store had it in stock and wanted me to go buy. Needless to say they didn't get the window put in and broke the regulator.

Was charged $111 over what I was quoted for. Was told twice that the situation would be explained to a manager. Despite the manager literally calling the technician while I was standing right there, he would not speak to me. Very unethical company. I will be filing a BBB complaint. STAY AWAYNegativeResponsiveness

The Service person was very friendly and helped to get the insurance paper work filled out even though the car dealer was supposed to have it filled out before they gave it to us, a lot of places would have sent us Back to the dealer, I feel he went above and beyond what he had to do, to him I say thank you!
