EDIT FOR CLAIRITY IN RESPONSE: NEW HIRE WITH NO EXPERIENCE WAS ALLOWED TO WORK ON MY WINDOW ALONE WITH NO PROPER SUPERVISION. THERE WAS PREVIOUSLY NO CRACK, THE DING WAS THE SIZE OF A BALLPOINT PIN HEAF. NEW EMPLOYEE SCRATCHED CAR, VISIBILY. COST TO REPAIR WITH THE "CREDIT" COST MORE THAN FROM COMPETITOR, AND ONCE YOU INVOLVE INSURANCE, THAT "CREDIT" GOES TOWARDS INSURANCE AND YOU DO PAY DEDUCTIBLE. NEGILIGENCE COST ME $300 AND THE MANAGER RESPONSE IS AN AUTOMATIC DO-NOTHING RESPONSE. 0/5 Stars. Will be telling hundreds if not thousands of people why safelite is a waste of $$$ and the insurance involvement is a scam 100%. I should likely sue. This is 100% negligence. Originally attempting to get my glass repaired on insurance. They let a brand new 'tech' who josh admitted had 0 experience, attempt to repair a ding less than the size of a pea, and half the size of a dime. I was told this AFTER Trey, the new guy, managed to crack the easiest repair the shop has likely ever seen. When I walked after they they botched the repair, they sent the preauthorization through. Trey was such a nice guy that he marked my freshly cleaned carpet as "soiled" my unscratched hood as "scratched" which appears to have a new scratch from HIM. The hood was spotless (but dirty from driving) now there is a clean spot with a new scratch near where the chip is, but at an angle the doesn't make sense for it to be related to what was a pin sized chip. Joshua offered to "waive" a recycle fee and repair the glass for 306. But I have to wait until Monday to get it done. And the shop knows I have to be in Indiana tomorrow, which was why it was important I was scheduled today. I was trying on my part to take care of it before the crack spread at all. The entirety of the ding could fit on the base of a ballpoint pen. Not awesome. Literally broke the easiest possible repair to do on a windshield and then sent me on my way after trying to cover their ass by making my car look worse on paper than it is. Kept getting told "oh yeah, easy repair" Which I know it was. I should have epoxied it myself. Now a 10 dollar self repair is a $300 repair. Won't be using safelite ever again, likely. This feels like a scam to get you backed against the wall for an insurance claim. If an employee is doing something for the first time, a manager should be making sure they guide them through the process. Not happy at all. Rival company will likely be doing my repair. I was nice to Joshua, but this is pretty dang shitty.

Awful EXPERIENCE and even WORSE customer service. I filed a claim through my insurance to have 2 rock chips repaired. I gave the Safelite technician my keys and within 5 minutes received a call for me to come out and speak with him in regards to my windshield. When I got outside and back over to speak with the technician I saw a 12-16 inch crack across my windshield. He explained they could give me a quote for self pay or we could put a claim into insurance but I would have to pay my deductible. ($1000 US dollars) When I stated can I get the self pay quote they bid me $450 US dollars to replace my windshield. There was no lets see what we can do to make this cheaper for you since we cracked the windshield nothing. I chose to not use them because I wanted to speak with my insurance and to their customer service to see what my options would be. Upon calling my insurance company they stated that these things do happen and they were backing Safelite 100% but did get them on the phone. Once Safelite's customer service of on the phone I was interrupted, yelled at and talked down to as if I was a child. After hanging up because of their poor customer service I did some calling around the windshield repair and replacement companies I was able to get 5 quotes that all were between $150 US dollars and to $225 US dollars. Which made me even more mad that they would quote me so much higher than 5 other companies especially by that much more. Safelite will NEVER again be my to go after that poor customer service, lack of understanding, backing their customers and overpriced work. At this point I wouldn't trust they to even come near my vehicles. If I were you I would think twice about using them.ServicesAuto windshield repair

Having worked in the car rental and car sales business, I had frequent interactions with Safelite, and they were always great. When they're on site, they're efficient and do a great job. I had an interesting experience with this particular location. They came to my house to replace my wife's windshield. I gave them the keys and mowed my yard as they worked. About 20 minutes into the job, one of the technicians came over to tell me they had damaged the dashboard. He said they dropped the old glass on the dash when they pulled it out. He showed me to 4" gashes in the dashboard, which they had attempted to cover with some dark filler. I assume that since the filler didn't look remotely close to the color of the dash or look flush that they fessed up to it. The tech apologized over and over, got my information and passed it along to his manager. I got a call from the manager the next day, said he wanted to look at the damage outside of the photos he had seen. I went to the shop and he apologized, too. He also said that they would take care of the replacement of the dash and would also set us up with a rental. We didn't end up needing the rental, but Safelite stood by their promise of fixing the problem, even though they lost money on the deal. I do agree with some of the other reviews that it's frustrating to have your call always go to a call center rather than the location in which you're trying to call. I imagine they get hundreds of calls a day and that the call center is designed to make sure you are in contact with the Safelite closest to you. However, I can empathize with those reviews.

On August 13th, Craig replaced the rear window on my car. I was notified while finishing my services, that Craig had placed the tape holding the trash bag to the area effected by broken glass on the trunk of my car, and upon lifting that wad of tape off, ripped the paint off of my car. Craig claimed there was a paint recall on my Hyundai. We contacted Hyundai, shared the VIN number of my vehicle and they shared that the paint recall was only on white colored Hyundais of that year, not mine which was red. We contacted management to discuss the damage caused and were told we would be referred to a district manager and that they would contact us directly. We never heard from them, followed up to see when we would hear back and were again told that the district manager would call back. It is now October 7th and I’m left with $1,200 worth of paint damage on my car due to Craig setting the tape on my trunk and then ripping it off. No discount was offered off of my service or assistance from Safelite. I am a teacher and cannot afford to pay $1200 for paint work after just paying $550+ to have my rear window replaced. I will not be using Safelite again and have been open to my friends and family about the lack of empathy and accountability Safelite has shown.

I was initially pleased with the service. The tech came within the timeframe window, called before and after the service was completed, and he was overall friendly and pretty fast. Upon inspection, I noticed the molding on the sides of my windshield were gone, leaving an obvious gap that showed the clips where the molding should be. The aesthetic was not pretty as it looked incomplete. I called right away, within 20 minutes of my completed service and explained to the lady I spoke with about the issue. She told me my windshield doesn’t have molding and that the gap is supposed to be there. When I told her it looks nothing like it did before the service and how I can stick all my fingers into the gap, she said that is how it should be. I was very just tired of going in circles trying to explain that it in fact shouldn’t look this way. She then informed me that unless I can come to them nobody will be able to look at what I am talking about until the following Monday. I felt like she was brushing me off like my concern was not a big deal.ServicesWiper blade installation, Auto windshield replacement

Once start for our first experience: the technicians failed to glue down the rubber seals around the windshield, and they started flapping in the breeze on the drive home, creating a hazard while driving. We had other things that had to be done, so we finished those and headed back with 50 minutes remaining before SafeLite was supposed to close. They were shut up tight, so we couldn't get the problem fixed. Sunday they're closed, so we taped the strips down and did what we had to do. Fortunately, it didn't rain, and the tape held. Monday, I went in and a different technician completed the job correctly, no questions asked, so five stars for him, which brings us to three. Still, it was a somewhat frightening hassle that never should have happened, and we will not be going back or recommending this location at least. (Also, it is IMPOSSIBLE to actually talk to anyone on the phone. We tried five different phone numbers. We also never got a receipt, so if there was a direct line on there, we'd never know. Extremely frustrating all round. )

I made an appointment for the next available time which was two weeks out. They texted and emailed to remind me to be there that day. When I arrived I waited 20 minutes for someone to come to the counter and there were three other people waiting. The first person was told they couldn't calibrate their windshield to their vehicle safety system, the asked the second person to come out to the service bay to see something and the third person was told they couldn't vacuum up all the glass in their vehicle. I was told they were running behind, under staffed and might not be able to get to me today. I decided to leave which they seemed surprised by. Oh and the windows from the lobby out to the service area are mirrored so you can't see what's going on. . . If I could leave 0 stars I would.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

The replacement looks great. However, when the technician removed there review mirror they broke it either removing it or trying to out it back on and they did not tell us. We don’t drive this vehicle often so it was unnoticed until we got into it this weekend to go work at rental property. The plastic cover was broken and it looked like they tried to melt it back on but it fell off. Here’s the thing that insets me. They were not honest because they did not tell us. If they would have just told us it would not have upset me as much and would be happy to just buy the part to have them fix it. I have made another appt so hopefully they will make this right. It’s a pain to try to call and talk to someone because it keeps wanting us to make appt online, so that’s what it brave done.ServicesAuto windshield replacement

Atlas CS hit by large rock from truck going opposite way on highway. Was uncertain about who/what/where to take it. On referral, set up appointment online, was honestly surprised how cheap estimation was to fill windshield crack. Unfortunately when we arrived the techs looked at it and assessed it could not be fixed with any guarantee due to the way it broke, not at the impact site but actually around it due to force. Techs were very nice and set up a full replacement appointment the next week and A LOT cheaper than I expected. Luckily this windshield did not require calibration! Appointment was at 9, they said an hour and a half to two hours. They were done by 10:15! No issues, no mess, and very friendly. Great shop, great people, very satisfied and would absolutely recommend to friends & family. Thank you.

The windshield itself is great. And the staff is super friendly. Easy to talk to. Waiting area is quite nice. My complaints are the fact it took over 5 hours. Closer to 6 hours to complete a 2 hour job and after all of that I had to immediately turn around and go back because they left a trim piece unsecured to the car. Their excuse was the plastic clips broke. And I completely acknowledged that is most likely indeed the truth. However they knew that and didn't bother to fix the problem in the nearly 6 hours I was there. They waited for me to figure it out and come back. They offered no compensation for the extreme wait I had. Next to no updates on the issue holding them back. I would definitely chose someone else for your needs.
