100% would recommend GR Auto Glass!! While driving cross country alone with my 3 young daughters my mini vans rear side window randomly exploded on the freeway outside Joplin, MO. It was after 5pm and every glass shop in Joplin was closed or didn’t have the window available. I found GR Auto Glass in Carthage and James answered the phone (from his car, I’m sure on his way home). He said he’d call me back in 10 minutes after contacting his glass supplier to see if they had the window in stock. James called me back as stated and said they had the window I needed, he went and picked it up, and met me at his shop an hour later. 30 minutes later (2 hrs after the window broke) he had the window replaced and the glass all cleaned up from inside my van, and we were ready to continue on our trip. James is a great small business owner who will go out of his way to help out costumers. Called about getting windshield replaced as it had been done there years ago. The owner told me prices have gone up since my last one was put in had gone due to the recent tarriffs. When I told him I'd need to look elsewhere to get it done because, I didn't have time to wait for one to arrive from out of the country he advised he has MANY "pretty much" on hand locally available and could do next day. When I told him if he has some already then those couldn't have been affected by tarriffs and that's just screwing people dishonestly.. he agreed. So that part was at least honest. I thanked him and explained If he'd just said nothing but, "the price" without the BS & lying then he would have had my business. I am not giving my business to someone who is unethical and a liar. They did fine in the first windshield years ago and at that the price was good... the "stars" reflect that clearly the business has declined in in enough areas I can only presume quslity of workmanship and product has as well.

The man is knowledgeable about his cars, for sure! I had bought a window from a salvage yard, for my car, and it turns out that the window was from a Japanese domestic market car... Toyota... got to love it. Anyway, the window didn't fit right, and this guy was able to order a window and have it installed the very next day. He is very expedient, and does good work. My window is installed nicely and cleanly, and every part is back where it is supposed to be. Don't worry about whether you're missing screws for interior panels and whatnot, either... He's got them. You'll get your car back with new glass, and every piece of hardware in the place that it's supposed to be... Accurate, fast, and friendly!

These folks are awesome! They replaced my cracked windshield in mid-August. 3 weeks later, I passed a dumptruck on I-49 and caught a rock and didn't realize it chipped below the wiper. By week 5, the crack was above the wiper blade. Unable to pay for a 2nd replacement so close to the original install, James drilled a hole to try to stop it from spreading AND he promised me a discount on the 2nd replacement when I was ready. I needed the windshield replaced on my work vehicle quickly and GR got it done! I called yesterday and the windshield was delivered this morning. Dropped off and it was fully installed in under two hours! He even put the gps/camera system back in place for me! I’ll definitely be using this local business more in the future. I almost paid extra to have Safelite, but after reading all the reviews and calling I got a great quote, and was able to have my windshield replaced the next day. I've had my windshield replaced here several times, and my sunroof once. I've never been disappointed. My car has a fancy windshield, with the lane departure warning and forward collision warning sensors. The prices here beat everywhere else by LITERALLY more than half!! Needed new glass installed on 2 of my car windows. Was texting with James. As soon as I asked for pricing, after they had the specs, the guy ghosted me. What a joke of a business. Ended up going with someone else and could have not been happier. Note to business: if you aren’t interested on working with a customer, just be upfront, don’t waste their time and keep them waiting for no reason.
