🙂 GO WITH Ideal Auto Glass! Long story short, my insurance company directed me to Safelife for my windshield repair, after wasting two weeks trying to work with them (never showed to an appointment, came with wrong windshield the next week, pushy with extra add on services which truly aren't needed, and DON'T do mobile replacements like Carl!) I opted for searching for a local business and am so glad I found Ideal Auto Glass. Got on the phone with Carl, the owner, who got my insurance company on the line with us right away to ensure my claim was transferred adequately, and he offered next day service. Him and his partner can come to your work, home at your convenience which sets them apart too for even windshield replacement because Carl has invested in mobile calibration equipment which I took advantage of him being able to do this just in my driveway which was great. He was professional, prompt with communication, super competent and can tell he cares about cars and the quality work being done, and got it all done in a matter of an hour. I was self conscious about my ignition interlock device in my car and unsure how swapping the camera to the new windshield would go, he was very professional about it and got that swapped no problem. I want to preface my review first by saying I am very particular about my vehicles for both the care they receive when others touch them and the quality of the work done. I've always been hesitant to get auto glass work done by anyone because I've seen how the paint gets hacked around the windshield frame and then the next thing you know.......rust :( Well, this weekend my whole perception of the auto glass industry was changed when I had my first experience with Ideal auto glass. Masen came to my home on Saturday to install a new windshield on my Chevrolet Impala. He was the nicest, most courteous and professional individual I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with for auto glass. My glass was removed perfectly clean without any scratches or contact with my paint like I often times see so many installers do. He had had the windshield out, the frame clean and the new glass installed in less than an hour. The way he works with his hands is both very precise and graceful. I have never seen an installer like him, ever. That being said, after all is said and done, I will never choose anyone again but Ideal auto glass. They have a customer for life.

Owner Carl- let me tell you about this guy: outstanding, trusting person to talk to and work with. He strives to get the job done and to get the job done correctly. At the time of our auto glass needs for a 15 volvo sc60, his help was out of town and he was a one man band- and he still answered the phone dispute of being busy with other customers and deal with our insurance company. He not only searched to get the correct heated glass for our car, but got the correct parts that were associated with a newish cars' windshield, new to make sure the job was done correctly. It took a week plus a few days to get the glass fixed- but not because Carl was asleep at the wheel- it was because Carl was too busy fighting our insurance company and their crooked polices on the age of the car vs the coverage. This experience via Carl that we had with the insurance company has put us in a corner to review and think about moving on from State Farm. Carl was in constant communication with the wife (her car) on the updates and what he had to deal with.

We called Ideal auto glass on Monday 1/3/22 after they were recommended by the dealership where we purchased our car. We had looked at other glass repair in the area, but they either asking too much money, or seemed shady for one reason or another. Ideal quoted us a more than reasonable price for the repair. We live in Tampa, and Ideal had a service van at our home by 10am the next morning. The repairman was William R. He was polite, professional, and explained to me what exactly he would be doing, how the process works along with the do's and don'ts after the repair work was finished. The entire process took less than 15 minutes. William R. is an asset to this company and if we ever need this service again we will be asking for him by name. I'm typically not one to post negative reviews but I'm disappointed in the (non) service provided by Ideal Auto Glass. I had a rock chip in my windshield that needed repairing and someone suggested Ideal. I called Ideal on a Monday (8/28). The person I spoke to said they could come out Wednesday, between 2-5pm. Took all my info and said it'd cost $100. Wednesday came around and it was a no-call, no-show. I understand falling behind but you could at least call to let me know. I waited until Thursday morning, thinking maybe I'd get a call explaining what happened. No call. So I decided to take my business elsewhere that was able to get me in that Friday and only charged me $50.

Staff goes above and beyond! I spoke to Jake and he explained all of my options when I was trying to decide if I should fill the chip or replace the entire windshield. Jake was very helpful and knowledgeable and was able to get me in to replace my windshield the next day. The tech that came to do the job was extremely friendly and went above and beyond the service he was sent out there to do. I had bought new windshield wipers and he put them on for me as well as put back my oil change reminder sticker back on my windshield. He left my car clean and in great condition after he finished the job. I really appreciate the customer service, thank you Ideal Auto Glass!

We came up to St. Paul for a hospital stay, and a rock hit my windshield on the way up there. Being from out-of-state, I didn't know who to call that would come out and replace my windshield and do quality work for a fair price. After reading reviews for Ideal Auto Glass, I decided to give them a call. Let me just say, I couldn't be happier that I did! Carl and his associate did a top-notch job. They went out of their way to be helpful and kind so that I was able to focus my time and attention on my son instead of my windshield. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Quick efficient and fair! Carl came out to me - and did a job no one else said they would do. My Tahoe has rust above the windshield and no one would touch it. He came out , cleaned up what he could and sent pictures with the process. Windshield was installed and all good. Never leaked. I had to put my truck down about a year after the windshield was replaced. Never had a problem! Quick and excellent service! I had called around looking for a replacement gorilla glass windshield for my Jeep and everyone I called either side they can’t get the glass or they could get to it in a couple weeks, I was told to call Ideal and I’m glad I did.
