Filed my first glass claim with my insurance carrier and they referred me to Safelite in Kalamazoo. They initially said they could repair the large chip in my windshield, but I was not satisfied and asked for a full windshield replacement. They set me up with another appointment for replacement and I paid my deductible once it was completed. I thought everything was fine, but 2 days later a crack developed in the windshield. Called them back the next business day to schedule a warranty appointment. Within 10 minutes of them inspecting my windshield they decided that a rock must have hit my windshield and said they weren’t going to cover a replacement. I had to go through a dilemma with complaining to their staff and manager about the windshield obviously being installed incorrectly or faulty windshield. Absolutely no rock struck my windshield. After more moaning and groaning the manager finally agreed to replace the brand new windshield for another brand new windshield. The quality manager, Mike, actually told me that if I brought it in again for another crack it wouldn’t be covered under warranty. Well Mike, if I get another crack I’m taking my vehicle elsewhere and giving my money to a worthy company. Not Safelite. To anyone reading this: if you ever have to file a glass claim, you can take your vehicle to any shop of your choice. Don’t ever let your insurance company con you into visiting any Safelite location. Save your time and spend your money at a more reliable company!

Update!! It gets better! When I initially scheduled my appointment and Safelite never showed up, I called them and they said the appointment was cancelled but didn’t know why. They cancelled the appointment but I found out later, they still charged me the deductible. When I rescheduled the 2nd appointment at the shop, I paid for the service right after. In looking at my bank account transactions, I realized they charged me 2x for 1 service. I called them and they said they show it was cancelled on their end, couldn’t do anything for me. I filed a claim with PayPal and I got refunded after they did a month long investigation. I will NEVER AGAIN use safelite. Initial post: I scheduled an appointment with Safelite to have them come to my home and replace my windshield. I took time off of work and Safelite never showed. When I called to inquire, I was told my work order was deleted but they couldn’t explain why. No one called me to reschedule, they just deleted my work order. I had to miss another day of work to bring my car in to the shop.

I have used Safelite AutoGlass twice in my life. The first time was in one of the parking lots pop ups they do. They guy who was doing it ended up causing the chip to turn into a full blown crack. They replaced the entire windshield because it was their error. That was in 2020. I figured the physical store would be better at not causing a chip to turn into a crack. I was wrong. We drove home with the repairs to our chips just to have one turn into another crack. I went through the customer service line and scheduled a replacement windshield. The operator I was speaking to told me I would not have to pay anything. I asked if that would be in writing on the confirmation email. She said yes. She was wrong. It will cost me $500 to replace the windshield due to the errors of this Safelite. 100% do no recommended. Please check my history of leaving reviews at other businesses, all positive. That should show you that I am not one to complain just for the sake of it. Safelite is just not a good business.

I had a heck of a time with my car while on a road trip recently, and after I got a chip in my windshield, I was beyond frustrated that, at one point the crack was turning into spiderweb type damage. But safelight, through my Allstate auto insurance, got me figured out and did a great job. You can barely see the chip. And the spiderweb is gone completely. They helped me realize like everything was going to be okay. I’d ended up with two flat tires, and only noticed on my way to my anppointment; I ended up having to reschedule my first appointment, but they were so understanding. I’ve used them before, but it’s been 4 years at least, this is the first time recently, and I’d use and/or recommend them again in a heartbeat! The photo I attached is the “before” picture, I can’t even get my phone to focus on what it looks like now, simply because it looks so good! I’ll update if I get a good photo of it! Thanks Safelite!

I contacted Safelite on their internet site to ask for a quote on my Ford F250 pickup. Much to my surprise I found their website to be quite easy to navigate. Once on the site, the site prompts you for the information on your specific vehicle, really very easy to input the information. Once the information was entered and the site said it had inventory for my vehicle the next step was the system provided a quote. Then the next step provided a schedule for appointments, which you choose to fit your schedule. Make the appointment and wala! The reminder came the day of the appointment and the technician called to give an update on arrival and showed on time to do a remarkable job. Kiddos to Safelite and Dustin!

Had a replacement windshield done, everything went fine with that part of it, paid cash in person for the windshield. My insurance was later called, (never gave my insurance info) and had a claim put against them for a windshield replacement. You guys got paid for my windshield TWICE, but now I have higher rates on my insurance for no reason. Tried calling customer service literally pointless phone number, sent me to a robot ai when I finally after an hour got to talk to a real person. HORRIBLE business practice. No wonder you are in a 30 million dollar lawsuit right now over this same exact thing.ServicesAuto windshield repair

This was my first experience with SafeLite. I went to their website around noon and to my great surprise and relief a technician could come to my place of work that afternoon for the repair. It was rock damage to my windshield and was starting to spread. The website even ran the estimate through my insurance and let me know rock damage was a completely covered benefit with no deductible. The technician was there about 3 hours later and did a great job with the repair. Thank you so much for your timeliness and expertise. Hopefully no more repairs will be needed but if they are SafeLite will get my business!!!!

I tried calling for some information on getting a window replaced. I needed to know an approximate cost so I could decide if I wanted to get insurance involved or not. I got a worthless automated phone system that gave me the run-around with options that did not match what I needed and no way to speak with a person. I tried 3 times then gave up. I called Classic Auto Glass on Sprinkle Rd. and got human being and great service. I highly recommend them! And no, I'm not affiliated with them at all.

Wonderful customer service! Highly recommend! I had a couple of dings from stones on my windshield. Insurance paid for the replacement. Josh at the Desk told me it would be an hour and it was just under. Josh, the tech doing the repair, was very nice which i appreciate. Had a concern when i got home, so i called and talked to the original Josh. He talked me through the concern and helped me figure out what do, even though it had nothing to do with their work. Great customer service!

Paid $300 dollars to get a window fixed, glass was still in the car when I went to pick it up, went back a 2nd time glass was still in the car. Had to ask them again to please get the glass out and after the 3rd time they did with me in the garage Update: They were very professional and did remedy the situation, they were attentive to fixing it and overall it was solved in the end, the window was done well and the glass was taken care of
