So I had a semi throw a rock at my truck and went to what used to be Pollack Glass in Grand Ledge. It’s now part of Safelite. I had Pollack do work for me before and they were great. I still went into what is now Safelite and scheduled an appointment. Now, I live in GL and made the appt for the one in GL. I started getting texts and emails saying my appt was in Okemos. I called to make sure it was for the one in GL. They lady said she changed it to the GL location. Over the Christmas weekend I continued to get messages saying it was for the Okemos location. I called Tuesday morning and the lady told me that the GL location was booked so I could reschedule or keep my appt with the Okemos one. Needing this done I kept my appt. When I went this morning I was greeted by a lady who acted as if I was the bother to her. I explained I was there to get my windshield fixed. She still could not find my paper work. I asked how long it would take she said about 40min. When I came back you could see a bubble where the chip was about the size of a dime. I thought they were replacing the windshield. Now I still have a blemish on my car and still need it fixed. The workers there acted as if it was not their problem and ask if I was all set when I clearly was not. This place is a joke and I will never be back to the GL location, let alone any other. Avoid this place if you can.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I made an appointment through the 1-800 number. They told me the appointment was at 0900, the local store had it at 0800. I showed up at 0845 and was turned away. The employee was rude and unprofessional. He said he just moved on to other appointments and by shifting those appointments into my slot, he still didn't have any openings later in the day. So because of the mix-up, I made his day much more productive and screwed me over. He had my phone number and didn't want to call and check on my status. So much for a small business, quality has dropped off significantly here. I don't think that their misscheduling over the phone and mismanagement in the office should affect me when we have opportunities to come together and get in the middle.

This has been ongoing for months for a cracked windshield (claim January 2023). 1st attempt, dropped off the night before, got call in afternoon saying they did not have the parts. Annoying but stuff happens. Long elapsed time with occasional contact re parts availability then nothing. Called a few weeks ago, 2nd attempt today (dropped off night before). Get a call at 3:20 to tell me they can't do the work as they don't have the parts. When i picked up my keys was asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said no, the response, "I don't blame you." I would not trust this place to put air in a tire. Save yourself the irritation and find another provider. Additionally night key drop not remotely secure.NegativeProfessionalism

The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the young lady at the front desk. I had to come twice because my original replacement window was cracked when they opened it. Things happen, I understand. For scheduled appointments, 8am drop offs, or night before. It would be more convenient for those traveling and arranging transportation if the replacement window could be checked before the appointment. To avoid the extra trip and time. Safelite was very apolgetic about having to order another windshield. About the extra trip back amd forth. We rescheduled, and once a new undamaged window arrived, the replacement was fast and quick. Has held up well. I would go here again.

I took a rock to the windshield while driving our orange cone highways. My insurance company set me up with satellite to have my windshield repaired. Wow! Excellent service! Called me immediately, gave me an option on dates for repair, called me prior to arrive to review everything that was going to happen. Sent timely texts as they said they would. They came to my house when I was working from home. My repair guy knocked on my door- car in driveway- and explained he had to drive it around a minute after installing the new windshield to recalibrate. Finished, brought me my keys, I had a follow up call to confirm I was happy with the service. WONDERFUL!

Wow, I tried to have faith in this place. Landed up like everyone else who goes here. Should have kept the broken windshield comparatively. They couldn’t have done a worse job. No exaggeration. Maybe it’s why they are so hard to get ahold of. What a scam!!! My windshield is literally busting out within 2 weeks seal and all, “new” wipers haven’t worked either. What a joke this place is! I want my money back!!! How are they staying in business?!?! Let me know if you’d like pictures of your disastrous level of ineptitude. Wow, thanks for making life unnecessarily harder!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I took my girlfriend to get her windshield replaced they said drop off at 9am she has a 250$ deductible when she finally was able to pick-up the car her bill was 320$ she asked why so much they said oh you said yes you wanted the new windshield wipers...70$ is excessive for 20$ wipers and less then 5 minutes to change I felt like they took advantage of a unaware consumer. Would not return I don't like when businesses take advantage of the customers.

I had a cracked windshield replacement done at this shop and immediately noticed it was distorted really bad. Had a warranty claim done on the new windshield and had a 2nd new windshield put on, same issue. I ended up stuck with it. I spent over a month, countless trips to and from this location, and phone calls trying to get a good windshield put on my vehicle to no avail. Avoid this place, and this company like the plague.

Horrible experience! Poor windshield installation. Wind blowing right through when I left. Called immediately and I indicated that I believe something was not sealed correctly. After 3 more visits finally it’s correct. Manager was not easy to deal with. Every time we called she was in a meeting, would leave a message and no return calls. Will not utilize this company again.

I arrived to pick up my vehicle, Evan let me know immediately that it would be another 1/2 hour before the office person would be back, he got in touch with her a couple of minutes later and resolved the issue. Honesty, integrity and determination equal great customer service. Thanks
