Staff was not friendly, helpful, or professional. I was not greeted when entering the facility, and no instructions were given after taking my $561.00 payment. I later learned in a follow up email that my vehicle should not have been driven prior to the time that I had driven away. Although I do understand that it is not recommended to get a car wash after having a windshield replaced, these instructions should have been verbally given once the technician completed the work. They were only concerned about collecting my payment. I’m very disappointed since I had a great experience 5 years ago when I had a technician come to my home for a windshield replacement.

The District Manager never called. Thanks. ***(ROUND TWO)***PLEASE READ*** This is my second time having to come out to this location. (Be sure to read PART ONE first) Rememeber the 1st time I was here I felt as if the technician didnt do an adequate job due to his claim that some windows still have "imperfections" again, I was a little uneducated so I accepted it even knowing it probably was the wrong answer. Fast forward to today I'm sitting in the lobby and a different technician came in to address another gentlemen who had a chip repair and was leaving today with a broke front glass, respectively so, the technician was upfront and honest with the man about needing a whole new window (some techs here are good) The tech I had the 1st time shrugged off his work as if it was suppose to be like this. Anyway, I addressed the OEM glass that I was concerned about and my NEW tech was upfront and showed me the windshield that was being put into my car.. I asked to speak with Chris, the store manager, but must have been busy. Sat there for an hour waiting. It sucks not being able to follow the chain of command when it comes to customer service issues however I was able to get Ed's # (district manager) off the window up front. I'll just say always ask more questions if you are unsure. Issue has been fixed for now after filing 2 insurance claims. PART ONE- My experience was pleasant. I called on a Friday to have my window chips filled, couldnt get me in until Monday (probably because Michigan roads are filled with rocks and everyone has similar issues) so I couldnt really be to upset about that. I was greeted within 5 seconds of entering the facility and was able to have a seat a minute later. My technician came out ,greeted me and was very friendly. I'll leave pictures and you can be your own judge. (I probably should have just had the window replaced but I'm not too educated on what the final result should have looked like) I was given a quick disclaimer that not every repair "looks fixed" and will still show some imperfections. 8 pictures. 2 chips ( inside and out photos taken) ***Added photos from the failed repair and damage to the structural integrity of the windshield*** Over all I'd recommend the place to friends and family.(***edit***) be mindful to what the technicians tell you.

Safelite Auto Glass Repair – Highly Recommend I recently had my windshield replaced on my 2018 Nissan Rogue through Safelite, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the overall experience. From the team that coordinated the appointment and ensured the correct glass was ordered, to the technician who completed the installation—everything was handled with professionalism and great customer service. The original appointment had to be rescheduled because the glass arrived damaged during transit. While that was disappointing, I really appreciated how quickly Safelite reached out to inform me and get a new appointment set up. They handled it efficiently and with transparency, which goes a long way. When the second appointment came around, the technician, Jacob, arrived right on time and was fantastic to work with. He was professional, courteous, and took the time to walk me through what he was doing. We happened to be in the middle of a heat wave, but Jacob powered through the job with an impressive work ethic. I was glad I could offer him a shaded garage space with some airflow—it was the least I could do considering the conditions. The quality of the installation was top-notch, and I now have peace of mind with a brand-new windshield installed correctly and safely. Thank you, Jacob and Safelite, for making a potentially stressful repair feel easy and well taken care of.

This company is an embarrassment. I would be laughing if I wasn’t so angry about this. I scheduled online for Wednesday for mobile service, they then reschedule to Friday without telling me. When the technician arrives, he calls me (I was out at lunch and left the keys on the driver’s seat), he tells me he has the wrong glass on the truck.. he then proceeds to tell me that he can reschedule for next Wednesday. I didn’t want to be difficult, and I have it sealed up really well so “no worries” I say I can wait. When I get back to work, the tech had already ripped off my sealed window patch, and made a very small effort to put it back on. It comes time for me to leave work, It starts snowing and I have to drive home, the seal inevitably flies off of my truck (big surprise..) I have to go to a hardware store to re-seal my window temporarily (this cost me $43 in materials, and it still won’t seal nice because all of the surfaces are wet. EDIT: I eventually had the window installed by Safelite, but I was charged a disposal fee even though I cleaned up the shattered glass, and they threw all of my temporary window wrap trash in my backseat.

Had my project car BMW serviced with windshield replacement at my home today. I am absolutely thrilled with the workmanship. I have worked with Safelite about 5 times now - 3 were new windshields and always had a very professional (above and beyond) type of person come out. This time it was Markell- I vote employee of the next few years until someone out does him but this guy is a true Gem. If I had a glass company, Safelite would need to be careful…lol I could not think of anything different he could have done to be any better. Good communication, great workmanship ad skill, made my family that was home feel safe and informed and my neighbor came out to watch as he text me at work to say how great this guy was ! Doing survey and going out of the way to drop a tip in the drop box tonight (forgot to leave cash). Truly amazing service when most places forgot what customer service is. Thank you Safelite and ‘Mr. Markell - you rock! Keep up the good work.

I set up an appointment through the website using my VIN. I was quoted about $400, and moved forward. I was called the day before my appointment to confirm my drop off time. I drove to the location the night before and went to look for my drop off instructions that were supposed to be sent. I realized at that moment that I had received an email showing my rate nearly doubled because they would need to recalibrate the windshield. This was not mentioned during the call the day prior. I am not sure why the rate would increase if the quote was based on my VIN and not just entering my vehicle type. I should have been quoted on this specific car. The windshield looks great and I was given a discount for the inconvenience. I appreciate the effort to make things right but I still feel like the quote needs to be more accurate and they need to have better communication. Reach out so people don't feel like it is a bait and switch situation.

I'm very happy with the Safelite windshield replacement I just received. The technician who did the replacement was named Thomas and he was a great representative for Safelite. He was very professional, polite, helpful and respectful. This young man went above and beyond by moving my truck into position for him to work on it, cleaning up everything nicely and then returning the truck to the back yard when he was done. GREAT JOB THOMAS!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! That darn truck is very hard for me to get in and out of because I'm very short and the truck has no running boards for me to step up onto to get in more easily. Thomas was kind enough to take pity on me and move the truck for me so I wouldn't have to struggle. I very much appreciated his willingness to help me. Again, GREAT JOB THOMAS!! THANK YOU!! Safelite hires excellent people!! The windshield is beautiful and the new wipers work great!! Thanks again Thomas!!

I should've red the bad reviews before taking my 2024 rav4 for windshield replacement, the car has 5k miles on it, now the crash detection system is malfunctioning, the plastic molding in not intact, the hood edge trim pieces are detached. I scheduled another visit, to see how will that going to work, what am saying is that if you can not provide a good experience for your customer, or if this job is over your capacity, then don't offer such a service. Customer should not keep going back and forth just because someone is not able to perform his job correctly. Very frustrating and I don't recommend this location for future business. Another update, on Oct 18, 2024 another visit scheduled because they misaligned the windshield wipers from the windshield heater. On Oct 24, 2024, i have the the lights on the dash back again, I will keep posting until they fix it.

Taking my car here was a mistake. Had to get my windshield replaced on my new car. Came back to me with scratch marks, slashed window seal, broken clips, lost under buttons, and more. Confronted the tech before leaving and told me to contact the manager. Had to get my cameras re calibrated at my dealership because they couldn't do it because of gateway security issues and said they would cover the cost. Got it done and they refuse to pay me back for re calibration. Been trying to get compensated for all damage done to my vehicle without any avail. Went up there personally again to get answers and pretty much got scooted away so they can "investigate" and said they would call me back the next day. Here it is 72 hours later to nothing. At this point we are moving forward with legal action.

POOR CUSTOMER CARE Safelite - Clinton Township MI (James D. Store Manager) was unresponsive to 3 emails, and finally took my call due to our insurance company setting up a 3-way. The store manager did not hear my problem, due to damage of the latch-actuator from residual broken glass as would qualify this as poor workmanship. Our hatch / latch cavity should have been 100% clear/clean from broken glass as this clean-up was attempted by your Tech, but did not remove all broken glass with the tools on-site. Doing a complete job, would not have led to broken glass clogging the actuator, thus causing the unit to fail and an out of pocket expense of $900.00
