I took my truck to get its back windshield replaced. I left it for longer than they said it would take, came back and waited an additional 1.5-2 hours. They said it was more difficult than normal because of the way the truck was built. I was annoyed with this but I was willing to let this go. Whenever I was leaving the manager said that there was glass in the motor and that the one that I had would break so he was going to order a new one for me and call me when he has it to replace it. I wait over a month and a half and I hear nothing. Since I couldn’t find a number to that specific branch online ( everything just sent me to the 1-800 number), I went in person to ask about it. The manager acted like he had no memory of it. He wanted me to test my back window, but I didn’t want to get it stuck open. I mean who knows how long it’ll take them to even get to it. So again he promises me he’s going to order it and give me a call. A week and a half later, still no call but I get a text that I have an appointment. I’m annoyed that I literally had no notice whatsoever but I figured I’ll make it work if I can. So I make arrangements. Whenever I get there, they said they just made the appointment hoping the part would be in, but it’s not. He says the receptionist tried to give me a call before I came, but I have no missed calls. So now I went out of my way to get there, my boyfriend is running late for work, all because the manager and receptionist at this location can’t give me a simple call. Honestly I’m so annoyed I just want to get the motor for this windshield replaced and be done with them. I wouldn’t deal with them again if I can avoid it. They just act clueless and it’s all really inconsiderate.

Customer service is trash. Dropped my vehicle off 15 minutes early for my appointment and they said about two hours. I get a text 15 minutes before the two hour mark saying they just started the service. I needed to catch a flight and couldn’t wait two hours longer and called to tell them to just wait. The number on Google sent me to a call center that had me on hold so I borrowed a friends car to run up and tell them to stop. The manager was at the desk when I got here. I told him the deal and he said they already had the windshield out. I asked what happened to two hours and he said “you didn’t tell me you were in a hurry.” I lost it on him and I will admit I could have handled myself better. I asked when it would be done, he said a half hour. Then he left for the day. This location doesn’t care about the customers time according to leadership’s demeanor and actions. If you are going to point out that I didn’t tell you I was in a hurry after you said two hours, you should realize that what you are actually saying is that you knew you weren’t trying to be on time. It’s been an hour now and they still have my truck in spite of sending me three messages saying it’s done and ready for pick up. It’s important to mention here that the guy I assume was left in charge was nice to deal with. The manager couldn’t care less about your time. Be aware that if you drop your vehicle off here, don’t just assume that since they said two hours that it won’t take them four or that they’ll do anything about the massive inconvenience.

I am so unhappy with the service received at the Battle Creek, MI Safelite location. I took my vehicle in for a stone chip repair. Not only did they indicate the need to make the hole bigger before they could fill, they didn't even fill it entirely. I took it back within the hour for which they assured me it was right. By that evening, the windshield had cracked all the way across in the opposite direction the original chip appeared it may spread. If they did not feel it would work from the beginning, why not say so. Say it's fixed and due to the technician's inability to perform a job correctly, an entire new windshield is needed. See picture attached. Cracked all the way as of today. I called our insurance carrier who conferenced me in with the "Safelite customer service". The Safelite service was terrible. I think Safelite representatives could learn something from Menards, Wal-Mart, Amazon about good customer service and keeping clients happy. I am so dissatisfied with their inability to even compromise to reach any type of agreement. I have used individuals in mall parking lots to fix windshield chips which have lasted forever. I recommend to never use this location for chip repair and have recommended that the insurance company look at another provider for this area.

Had my vehicle there to replace the driver's door glass. When I picked the vehicle up, the door handle trim came off. I saw that someone had broke it, and tried to glue it with windshield sealant. No one told me about the damage, and tried to cover it up. I showed it to the desk employee and subsequently a few days later the manager, Jason, got in contact with me. Through a few phone calls he assured me the problem would be taken care of. Approximately 4 weeks later, nothing has been solved, and my phone calls have not been returned. Being ignored I decided to call Safelite corporate. All I get is a recording that starts you all over again after 10 minutes of button pressing and frustration. This lack of customer service, and quite bluntly, lies are unacceptable. 2 months later and many, many voicemails left by me, nothing has been resolved, they just ignore you, including corporate. They damage your car and are not responsible for anything. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.NegativeProfessionalism

Had the windshield replaced and as he was finishing, I noticed distortion looking through it and showed him and he agreed. So, a new one was to be replacing the replacement. Later, I leave and realize my radio antenna is missing. He'd taken it off and didn't put it back on. So, I call and am told a new one will come with the new windshield. So, a week later and he's here with the replacement for the replacement and brought a new antenna, much shorter than the original. Upon turning my radio on, the new antenna is junk. No wonder at 1/3 the length of the factory one. Now, it's been 11 days since the install of the second windshield and still no antenna. I've just finished my phone call to their number and got a lady who put me on hold and came back and said she was not able to contact anyone or the store manager. She requested I wait until Tuesday for them to contact me. Mind you, this is Friday. I'll never have another Safelite install in my life ! This was through my insurance agency. Beware folks.

So you enter your VIN on their website and get a price. If you wait a couple of days without making an appointment they will give you $100 off. Later you will find out they tack on $50 for glass recycling. And if it is a newer vehicle you will get a text warning you of additional fees for calibrating your sensors with a link. I was thinking $100 or so. The link did not work so I called the office. So for my $450 windshield with $50 glass recycling my recalibration is $750 by itself but he offered to reduce it a bit. I cancelled the appointment and will not support businesses that do not have upfront pricing. I encourage you to look for an actual local shop that gives you a price to replace your windshield that covers everything so you are back to where you were before the windshield had a crack. Avoid businesses that tack on fees after the initial price. They have the VIN all information was known, give me the fully loaded price upfront.

Second time with this business. First time was a windshield replacement a few months ago. Tech came to my house and did the job quickly and efficiently. He had a well equipped van and did the job by himself. This time was a chip repair on my new windshield. 🤬 Made an appointment with my insurance policy information. They contacted insurance for me and payment was taken care of. I arrived at the appointed time, had a short wait and they 'filled the chip.' The staff was very friendly and professional. Another good experience with this business. Why not 5 stars? Unfortunately, repairing a chip is not an exact science. Not their fault but the chip still shows the 'star' even with the hole filled. Results from the repair can vary. All I can hope for is that the windshield won't crack now. I like this place. If I need these services again, I'll be calling them. Thanks Jason!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE Customer Service….. scheduled an appointment several days in advance for 8am-5pm. Wife took day off work, she travels and could only be done at home. At 4:45 pm , 8 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES INTO SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT I received a phone call saying they weren’t coming because 9 hours earlier an employee had called in sick. So in 9 hours they couldn’t have called the days scheduled customers to advise them or see if one of them would be able to reschedule. Instead 15 minutes before deadline they call and cancel… Called the next day. Manager used the sympathy excuse of not wanting to work their employees excessive hours… Well absolutely I said it’s not the guy on the roads fault he shouldn’t have to pay for someone in the office screwing up ( like a manager )… Canceled appointment. Battle Creek , Don’t recommend them at all…ServicesAuto windshield repair

I don’t know about other locations but this Safelite is unprofessional in all areas. Had TWO vehicles scheduled for window replacement on Saturday. One commercial and one personal. Safelite is a no show with nasty texts from the technician putting the blame on customer because I said “so show up” after he canceled. Reality - techs are supposed to call 30 minutes before our 12-5pm appointment. He called at 7:50am. I believe he was hoping I wouldn’t answer. Didn’t want to work today. Couldn’t contact manager. Got his number. Still no response three hours later. After the additional harsh things said by tech… I’m reconsidering my business with them. You should too!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Took my truck in to get back window replaced and When I came to pick it up there was glass everywhere. The bed of the truck was full of glass and in between the cab and the bed, I had to make them clean it up. A few days later I took it to the car wash and water was coming in at several points. I took it back in and they said the seal was fine. They re sealed it and said that it was something else. I have taken it to the car wash since and have had no leaks. It was definitely not sealed correctly the first time. I took it there because i'm not aware of any other glass replacement other than them in the area.NegativeQuality
