Last night my passenger side window became stuck. I attempted to get a quote/make an appointment online, since the website says you can repair broken power windows. The website said a manager would call to get more information. He called this morning and told me that the window was either off the track or the regulator needed to be fixed. He advised that a regulator would take 5-7 business days to get, but that I should go to a store near me (that I wouldn't need an appointment) and have staff look at the window to determine which course of action to take. Upon arrival, we flagged down a worker, told him of our problem and were asked to leave the car for a "couple hours" because they already had a few cars. I left the car and walked home. Three hours later, I returned to check on the progress, and was met by a new worker who had never been informed of my car, my problem. He asked if I had spoken to Mike (perhaps the morning shift man), and told me that he saw a set of keys on the desk but didn't know where they went. So, a waste of three hours already. He came out and looked at the window, told me that the window was not off the track, and that I needed a new regulator. Then proceeded to contradict the man on the phone earlier, by telling me that they could not fix this, that they don't know what they're doing when it comes to regulators, that I should find a mechanic. This whole situation was very annoying, and a complete waste of my time. If your employees cannot perform the services listed and described on your website, perhaps some new training is in order. The only saving grace was that the second employee offered to put wrap on my window to protect my car from impending rain.NegativeProfessionalism

I recently got a small chip in my windshield and filled out a work order with safelite to make an appointment to get it fixed. Alicia showed up today 9/1 to fix the windshield. When she initially showed up in a JN Philips van, she was courteous. She put a mat down on the hood of my truck before putting her tool box down which I appreciated. Unfortunately the whole time she was on her phone and I ended up with scratches on the hood of my truck after she left. I was able to buff them out since this is a brand new truck. As I was driving later this evening I noticed a strange refraction on my windshield. There were scratches left from the razor blade used to remove the excess residue. This is very upsetting especially after already having to buff out the scratches left on my hood. I am not sure which company to contact about this problem because I am now unfortunately going to need a new windshield on a brand new truck. This incident makes me second guess using safelite again. I made the appointment with safelite, Alicia showed up in a JN Phillips van and my receipts says “giant glass”. If you could point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Had them come to my campus because First appointment around, they didn’t have the correct part for it and I wasted my time going there and waiting only to be told they can’t fix my windshield. Then they reschedule again because of whatever reason. They said the person would call me before they arrive. The person who did my car was Odane. They reassured me so many times that he would call me but I never got a call. The appointment was suppose to be between 12-5, and at 5 he still wasn’t here. Tried to call safelite but they close at 5pm as well. I live on campus but it’s a building down the street, which I know he would get lost, so I was expecting to guide him to where it was suppose to be. I received an email saying that my service was complete so I went back to where my car was parked and the windshield was fixed…‘ very confused as to how he got there and why I was notified when he arrived and stressed out because the appointments have changed so many times. Just very unprofessional and I’m tired of working with the Weymouth location specifically. Also, I have a stuffed animal hanging off the mirror and found it off my mirror and the piece that hooked it to the top was gone because it was yanked off from the doll itself so I can’t even hook it back on…. Thanks Odane!! Let’s see if the glass they put on my windshield actually does it’s job or cracks.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

I have been dealing with this company for almost a month! I had 2 cracks on my windshield and brought it in for them to change the windshield, they did do that but while they were doing it, they broke a part of my back mirror which they had to order the part for it and I had to ride my car for a full week without a back mirror! After that week, I took the car there again and they fixed the back mirror but guess what? They bumped my passenger front door somewhere and made a dent (for me pretty deep), they offered me to take it to their body shop which is asking 3-4 days to fix the car and they would give me a rental while that was fixed but the rental car company is asking me to leave a deposit which will get back to my account once I return the car (I am not giving any deposit to anyone because I was not the one who messed up the car door) So I went to my friends body shop, he said he would fix my car within a day (which I won’t need a rental because it’s just a day) and for about $200 less than what their body shop are charging them! Now they are giving me a hard time to send him or myself the check so I can get my car fixed! It’s been almost a month now and I am getting super frustrated with this… totally don’t recommend this safelite location (not sure about other locations) but this one has been giving me a hard time, to fix something THEY created!

Horrible Experience. I first contacted Safelite AutoGlass to repair a small crack in my windshield. A technician came to my home of August 30 and filled the crack. Within a week a noticed the crack expanded so I drove to the local Safelite shop in South Weymouth to get their feedback. I was told that since the crack was already filled, the windshield would need to be replaced. I made the appointment on September 10 and the replacement was scheduled for 8AM on September 20 since the glass needed to be ordered. I received email confirmations and a text reminder the morning of the appointment. I was told the work would take several hours so I made plans to be home for the day. My wife took the morning off from work for the drop off and pick up. We showed up just before 8:00 and I was told the windshield was not there. The office manager said he would look into to it but the work was not going to be done that day. I still have not heard from him. I cannot fathom that someone would not confirm the inventory before the day for scheduled work in order to avoid a situation like this. I contacted Geico to discuss alternative repair options and learned that I could have the work done at a local AllState Glass facility, which I will do. I will avoid Safelite AutoGlass in the future.NegativePunctuality, Quality, ProfessionalismServicesAuto windshield repair

If you care about your car, do not let Safelite touch it. They messed up the original installation by bringing after market glass that did not fit and tried to go a week without fixing it, after already disconnecting everything and taking my windshield off. When they came back to fix it I was told that my re-calibration would need to be done by the dealership and paid out of pocket, an expense that was NEVER pre-discussed with me...I was basically told by the reps that I spoke to on the phone that it was not their problem. They also chipped a section of the paint on my new car. Safelite refuses to take any responsibility and could not even respond to a complaint made on the BBB. On multiple occasions I requested a call from management, and I have not received one phone call from anyone to have a conversation about making this right. I will note that the technician who attempted my repair was nice, but that does not make up for the experience I have had with them. It has been about 6 months since this mess and now my windshield is cracked AGAIN after simply being sprayed with a hose lightly to clear pollen from the car. I trusted Safelite with my car and now I have had endless problems that they have washed their hands of, bad business practice and horrible customer service. They also removed this review from their website.

I would give 0 stars if it was possible. And shame on me for not reading other reviews first... I showed up THREE separate times and EACH time I was told that the wrong part was ordered. I had asked specifically if they had my VIN (yes) and if the VIN could tell exactly which part they would need (yes). The last time I was in there, I overheard the manager telling the receptionist that she had ordered the wrong part [at least] twice, and couldn't explain why she re-ordered the wrong part a second time. I was also told that due to the sensors in my vehicle, I needed to be there in person (also false). It was only a rain sensor, so a mobile repair was possible. When I called to cancel my mobile repair because I had scheduled with Master Glass in Weymouth, I asked to speak to the manager to give feedback -- the receptionist answered and told me she would handle it. It's clear that their roll-up into Belron (massive global auto glass co) has creative some massive issues with quality control, and this is apparent through ALL of their online reviews, and other people I've spoken with. Also, they bought out MAPFRE's claims call centers, so if that's your insurance, guess who you'll be referred to first? Avoid like the plague.NegativeProfessionalism

Update. I’m adding another 2 stars because SafeLite did the right thing. SafeLite replaced the windshield they originally installed incorrectly with a proper OEM piece of glass, paid the bill for the electric damage the dealer repaired ($2,400), and paid for the full detail of the interior ($400). The two added stars are for their good customer service and proof they do back their work fully. If I could leave zero stars i would!!! Replaced a windshield on my wife’s 2022 Jeep grand Cherokee. Jeep is only 2 years old and the entire electric system is shot! So far the repair bill is $4,000 and still counting. They used an after market windshield which they replaced 2 weeks ago. In addition the windshield leaked which enabled water to get into the electrical system, shorting out wiring. Car would run and doors wouldn’t lock or unlock. Even after the repair the car will never be right. Was a great car to and now it’s ruined. With new car costs so high it’s now 25 % to replace it so we see screwed. Safelite is terrible. Don’t use them!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This Safelite location put the wrong windshield on my car, did not set it flush in the correct space leaving gaps and damaged the moldings and clips around my windshield. All of these parts now require full replacements. My vehicle is brand new, was in perfect condition until this. The techs working there are downright neglectful and don’t have experience. Safelite as a whole is a monopoly and seeks to push out cars as quickly as possible, regardless of the quality of service they’re supposed to provide. When I brought my car back in for the store manager to look at, I noticed another customer complaining about issues with their windshield - clearly it’s a trend. Dealing with Safelite customer service was a nightmare, they gave me the runaround for weeks. Now an entire month later, my car is finally getting repaired at a small local shop. Avoid Safelite, especially this location.

I usually have to get my windshield repaired because I drive around a large van for work. Cracked windshields due to rocks on the highway are a common occurrence. The people here are very friendly and easy to talk to. That being said their service and workmanship isn’t great. The windshield that they put in isn’t sealed properly. It leaks in air and is more audible when driving on the highway. I can see places where the seal isn’t complete. To top things off, I know that usually the wiper fluids get blocked after the replacement. I asked them to make sure that the lines are clear, they told me they were and I was all set. After 2 days(time for the windshield to settle) I tried using the wiper fluid and it was blocked and I had to unblock the lines myself. Overall good people but not good service.
