Night and day service compared to Safelite (and I went to the Weymouth and the Norwood locations of Safelite). What started as a small crack in my windshield became a big deal when Safelite said they fixed the crack, but did not, and the windshield needed to be replaced. Safelite in Weymouth did such a poor job, that the moldings on both sides flew off while I was driving. I incurred a barotrauma injury to my inner ear due to the missing moldings (an injury I’m still dealing with.) Safelite refused to tow my vehicle, even though I had driven to New York and got stuck in Connecticut in excruciating pain. They did end up paying for a rental once I found friends to drive me back to MA, while I had to wait for the parts for my windshield to come in. This time, I went to Safelite in Norwood. After this third fix, I found out that Norwood didn’t even use legit Kia glass (and my vehicle’s only like six months old). I’ve driven the rental van, and multiple other vehicles, with no pain (unless I’m driving more than 20-30 min, as my inner ear hasn’t healed yet), but after the Norwood repair, my ear agitation increased after just 10 minutes of being in my vehicle. That’s when I called Derek and Jason. Derek came to my house. He let me watch and ask 1 million questions. He even let me text him after, and we are brainstorming one other idea (The molding on the front doesn’t fit flush to the windshield, and I’m just curious if that contributes at all to the air pressure being off, because, at this point, I’m still having mild pain). Still, you can visually see the marked difference between the work of Derek and the work of Safelite. Derek used actual Kia parts. Safelite didn’t even ask if I wanted Kia parts (I didn’t know enough to double-check). The Kia glass has a snap that connects the glass to the vehicle and the knock-off glass did not have that snap (you can see the glass they used compared to the glass Derek used, and you can see that snap in the picture). Also, the molding was all funky when Safelite did it, but when Derek did it he put it on perfectly straight just by eyeballing it. I’m still having ear pain, and Derek is still working with me on this, but the visible work is so much better, and my friends, who also noticed the weird pressure in the vehicle before (Because Safelite didn’t tow it my friends had to drive it to, and they got headaches driving it) don’t notice it anymore. Thank you so much Derek and Jason for your patience and willingness to keep brainstorming with me! Thank you for doing quality work! Totally going to recommend you the next time someone asks where to take their vehicle!
