Auto Glass Express Silver Spring - Windshield & ADAS

Shout out to Auto Glass Express Silver Spring for getting me and my wife back on the road within days! My wife and I were driving from out of state back to the DMV and we were hit with a massive rock that spat out from the wheel of a semi-trailer truck which resulted in a massive frisbee-sized breakage in our windshield. After a failed attempt at reaching any type of customer service at Safelite through our Progressive insurance we called this Auto Glass Express location and they were able to custom order the windshield from the dealership, since our car was brand new, provide us a quote, and set up an appointment for the end of the week within minutes. The day of, I was pleasantly surprised when as soon as I walked in I was handed a check for the difference in deductible and the initial deposit we had to put down immediately. They estimated 2-hours for removal, install, and ADAS calibration, but got me out of there in a little over an hour and a half! The staff were great and welcoming and I even was able to walk to the garage and see the space and car before it got worked on. I will for sure reach out to Auto Glass Express for any needs in the future. Seamless, efficient, and great experience!

I previously had a very good experience with the Auto Glass Express in Chantilly but this one was a big let down. I assumed this location would have been as flawless as the one prior but I was wrong. Brought in my car because of a cracked windshield and while they were prompt in delivery of the windshield and working with my insurance, the craftsmanship was very suspect. Upon inspection after they completed the job, I noticed several scratches on both of my inside A pillars and a gluey mess on the inside edges of my windshield and outside bottom corner. Also noticed scratches to my plastic cover above my rear view mirror. They also did not initially reinstall the rearview mirror properly causing it to wobble and not stay in place (though they did fix after I immediately went back). It just seems to me they did not take pride in their work or take care of their customers vehicle. A little time and care instead of rushing the job would have probably solved all of these issues. And to top it off, I live about an hour away and purposefully chose this business because of my prior positive experience. Would not recommend this location.

The shop has a clean and organized waiting area. They are customer friendly and communicate well. Unfortunately, the mechanics were not able to adjust my passenger window correctly. I have a 2002 Lexus SC300 which needed a new passenger side window. The replacement window would hit the roof part of the weather strip and would not close without pressing on the top of the window. I took it back once to have the shop adjust it but it only worked for a day. I performed the research and was able to find the detailed instructions on how to adjust the clearances of the window. The issue was the angle that the window closed in. I removed the door covering and made the adjustments myself. Fortunately, I'm mechanically skilled and could make the adjustments myself. There was not enough effort on the mechanics part to identify and troubleshoot the issue.

I needed to have a glass panel replaced that is located between the windshield and panoramic sunroof. Pros: The front desk person and repair tech were friendly and able to communicate clearly. It was easy to get an appointment as soon as the part was delivered. The communication flow between my insurance company Erie>Safelite Glass>Sunroof Express>Auto Glass Express went smoothly. The tech will explain the repair to you after inspecting it and answer your questions. Cons: The repair tech didn’t center the glass panel within the window frame. One side has a much bigger gap between the frame and edge of the glass than the other side. I wish the tech took more time (less express) to center the glass.

Starting with my first call to Autoglass Expressed I was so pleased. Adrian and Marlo were great with customer service. My back window needed to be replaced after my car had been broken. The part needed came in promptly and it only took about 30 minutes to have it replaced properly. The price amazed me it was half of what the other places were, but I felt like a queen while I was waiting for it to be done I would not hesitate to go back, and I recommend this to anybody that may need windows replaced. 10 out if 10 for me. Thanks again.

This is the second time I brought one of our trucks from Mic's Moving there. They are very affordably priced. They make it easy to set up a appointment and text you with the address and when your appointment time is. Everyone is super friendly. They even have a nice little lobby to sit in while you wait with drinks and a charger for your phone. We at Mic's Moving will continue you use them and if I ever need my windshield replaced or fixed they will be who I use as well

Auto Glass Express was excellent. You don’t replace a windshield often so you want efficient, expert help. They gave me an assessment of damage and an appointment within 24 hrs. Courteous and efficient staff. Importantly, they calibrate the ADAS and it’s included in the cost. Other places didn’t do this services, or it’s an additional $350-500. They were reasonably priced and had no add-on fees. (They cleaned out a mouse nest in the engine block for free.)

Easily the most affordable and stress free experience I have had with any automotive repair. The prices are fair and straightforward, my quote included taxes so there were no hidden fees or anything. They told me it would take 90 minutes and it only took 30. Excellent! The lady who answers the phone and manages the front desk is so friendly and helpful. The installation of my new windshield looks to be top notch. They made sure all glass pieces were vacuumed up on my dash (some installers don’t do this and that’s sloppy). Overall, the install looks like it came from factory. Definitely recommend you use them for your next glass needs.
