I made an appointment 6 days in advance to have my windshield replaced at my home. I received daily reminders about my upcoming appointment. My appointment time was 12-5. I took off from work and was home by 11:30 am. I was told I would receive contact from my install technician when they were on their way. Day of the appointment - no text, no call, no show. Called customer service line at 4:45 - automated message indicating they closed at 5pm. Found a customer care # online, spoke to a very nice rep. named Jennifer. She called the technician who was assigned to do my install, he was already done for the day, and told her they didn't load my windshield on the truck, so he figured shop would notify me. Did not happen. Jennifer messaged the Rosedale shop and I was told that I would get a call the first thing Tuesday morning - no call. I called customer care again, and after speaking with several people, I was transferred to Teresa in the Rosedale shop. Theresa for the first time told me that they didn't even have the windshield for my vehicle, and they had not heard from the vendor. I was again told I would get a call from the manager Chris Poliniack, and to this day, I still have never received a phone call. The lack of professionalism and total disregard for the customer by this manager is ridiculous, and I do not understand how he still has a job, much less a job in management.

I took my car in to have my windshield replaced. They lost the part that clips the the outside molding to the windshield - which they would have noticed when they put the molding down and weren't able to clip it in - but they didn't mention it. Then the general Safelite line told me I had to drive back when a manager was available, so I drove back to the location to speak to him. He was rude and unapologetic and told me they didn't have the right clips and I'd have to come back for a third time. I told him I'd talk to the general Safelite line when I did that they reached back out to the Rosedale location the manager was supposed to get in touch with me but he never did and never ordered the parts. There was also a huge puddle on the passenger floor of my car, which I wasn't sure was their fault so I didn't originally mention it but after reading these other reviews of how they left others' cars, I think its safe to assume it was them/ If you want your window fixed properly, I'd recommend going to a different location.

Abysmally bad. The rear windshield was shattered on November 21. I originally had to wait through 48 hours of torrential rain for an available technician, only to have him install the wrong glass. Six additional appointments have either been cancelled or postponed, including today's. When I called the contact number, the dispatcher told me the appointment had been cancelled because the technician had tried and failed to contact me. There was no call or text, but I did receive an e-mail notifying me that said technician would arrive at 1:35. When I relayed that information to the dispatcher, she hung up on me. If - IF - the correct windshield is finally installed at the rescheduled time, it will have been almost two months since the original contact. How they think this is appropriate customer service is beyond me. This is the best Safelite can do. WOW.

Even though tricky to get an appointment scheduled-The first one, I was notified they were not coming with 10 minutes left in the show up window. Waited on hold for over 15 minutes before hanging up, with two different lines, to let them know I would be late arriving to my appointment because held over at work. Once I finally went to my appointment, I couldn’t believe the one-on-one personal service that was being given to each and every customer! They were literally going out of their way to make every accommodation requested of them. it was that noticeable. And when I mentioned that my rearview mirror was not secure, 2 technicians were immediately summoned and sent to the parking lot to rectify the situation. (Even my EZPass sensor had a new adhesive already applied to it, ready for me to install). I was duly impressed!

Absolutely terrible service. My windshield was replaced last summer. Once I start keeping my car outside of the garage I had terrible leaking issues and after bringing it to the dealership to check the drains, they concluded that it was the front windshield and showed me a video of it leaking through the front windshield. I proceed to show this documentation to the Safelite team along with dropping the car off to replace the windshield and they won’t honor the warranty now. After having to go to the safelite shop and demonstrate the issue for their techs they did finally honor the warranty. They are also painting for my car to be detailed and the carpets shampooed. I’m happy with the final result but the path getting there was far more difficult than it should have been.

I’m giving a 1 star review based solely on trying to schedule the appointment! I made the appointment for August 6th and set up Afterpay which I’ve already paid the first installment. I randomly get a text message saying my appointment has been canceled and money refunded. No reasoning . After wasting my life sitting on the phone trying to get a hold of a real person, I find out it’s because I supposedly didn’t check the box allowing for calibration!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just an average person who knows nothing about windshields and instead of someone calling to inform me about some sort of box I did not check they just canceled the appointment. Now I have to wait for my money to be refunded. Looks like another company will be getting my business.

We are between a 2 and 3 star rating, due to the following reason: (1) 8-5 appointment “wait” timeframe at this point and time is unacceptable, appointment times should be scheduled. (2) Have process in place to cover the dash to prevent any damage to the dash area. We were left with tar like substance on our dash and a chip out of our speaker frame along with several fiber like pieces left. Clean up should have been better for what we pay. (3) Representative was very knowledgeable and professionally dressed we just wish he would have taken more time to cleaning the dash area after windshield replacement to ensure it was returned to its original condition. (First image is before and last two are after)

The entire process was very easy and not stressful at all. I needed to get the safety accident wrap on my window for a few days while I waited for my appointment. They took care of me very quickly at the shop and did a good job. Then the day of the repair couldn't have gone better. My tech, Peter called to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time when he said he would. He was very friendly and explained everything perfectly since this was my first time. He did a great job and did not take long at all. He cleaned everything up, made sure to explain everything and show me what he did. I highly recommend Safelite and let them know what a great job Peter did. Thank you!

Update: I was reached out to by Safelite and the issue has been resolved. They also did a great job on the replacement. —— I attempted to make an appointment online. I attempted to pay. I was told there was an error and it couldn’t be processed. They charged me anyway. When I try to call it sends me to an automated line and only offers options that don’t apply. Oh, except for when it transfers you to an AI that asks you to verify the incorrect spelling of your name then asks for your name again. I literally cannot speak to a human being about this matter. My only recourse is to contact my bank.ServicesAuto windshield replacement

My experience for windshield replacement at the Rosedale, MD, Safelite was a positive one. The appointment info indicated it would take 1-2 hours; it took approx 1 hr. In the meantime, waiting room had complimentary water & coffee, and I read my book. Zachary, the technician, came to tell me it was finished, told me he'd noticed from my old windshield that I'd had a transponder, and asked if I'd like velcro to reattach my transponder to the new windshield, which was helpful. Since the replacement, we've had snow and rain, and there's been no water seepage from new windshield, and everything seems to be OK.
