Today I had an appointment to replace the windshield of my vehicle at this company with a dubious reputation and low quality of service. When I arrived earlier, the appointment was at 1:00pm and I arrived at 12:20pm to do things right and ask about availability and any other information they could provide me, they told me the price and asked me for the keys to my vehicle. . The GEICO insurance company said one price and this Safelite AutoGlass company said a higher price, but I still accepted the deal. I left my vehicle, ordered a taxi and went home. When I was getting home they called me from Safelite AutoGlass to inform me that I wanted to change the windshield of my vehicle with a windshield that they had but that it had scratches and that they were going to lower the price for that problem. I immediately told them no, I wanted a new one. The person on the phone at Safelite AutoGlass responded that for a new windshield replacement I would have to make another appointment for Monday or Tuesday. This really made me very angry and I went to get my vehicle. Take this into consideration when you go to change a windshield at this Safelite AutoGlass company, because I really think they are irresponsible, they are not professionals, they have no sense of respect and they play with people's time. I asked another company, they gave me an excellent price, they come to my house and set it up. Final note: this is what I understand and what I read daily about the philosophy of life of the United States and that many experts affirm that companies are in decline and thus they want to take this great and blessed country, the United States, to sink it with their Decadent services, bad procedures, unprofessional practices, bad treatment, bad service, bad attention, lack of tact and humanity, that despite offering a terrible service, money is more important and comes before everything, even people. What a truly bad company, I can only end with the fact that they bring shame and shame to their State, their county, their city, their community, their country.

I'm never using Safelite again. 2 starts because the shop it's self tried hard, but the customer service at Satellite is absolutely terrible. They use a recorded answering line that refuses to allow you to connect with a human. When I was finally able to navigate to the option to talk to a human, they kept saying no one was there to answer my call (this was late morning and mid day, so not outside hours of operation). When I tried to contact via text, they kept claiming I wasn't responding, and then ended the chat. I had my car scheduled for a replacement on a Wednesday. They were unable to complete the service that day, but didn't call to tell me until 4:43pm, 17 minutes before closing. The reason I was given was because one of the parts they needed arrived damaged. I was extremely frustrated because I had to rearrange my work day to pick up the vehicle, and because the service wasn't completed, I had to rearrange my schedule for a second day that week. 10 days later was the first time I took the vehicle on the highway. I noticed a whistling noise that started around 45mph. As soon as I hit 65, a part immediately bent and partially flew off my car, causing me to pull over on the side of the highway, with my two small kids in the car. I called to make an appointment, the automated answering service directed me to make an appt on line. I did that, but wanted to make sure that the shop saw I needed a part ordered since the one they installed flew off my car. After multiple calls, and conversations with text bots, I have still been unable to connect with a human, and get confirmation that the shop knows they have to order a part for my service. My service is scheduled for tomorrow. I have no idea if it's actually going to happen, or if the shop is going to be ready. I am furious. It should not be this hard.

They were fast, on time, the web site was easy to use, this should be a 5 star experience. My issue was with how they represented the calibration on the windshield. The web site warns that some cars need it and if so it would be an additional charge. This is vague and had me cautious, but figured I might not need it and surely wouldn’t be significant relative to the windshield itself. When I arrived, the front desk person gave me the total which included the recalibration. It was more than the cost of the windshield and doubled the quote I was given. There was no lie. But it felt shady. She knew it needed the recalibration (or they just automatically do it) and she knew the costs. They didn’t need to see the car or see how the install went or anything. It was an upfront cost and they knew it and so the website should know it and it should be in the quote. But of course they are not going to do it when they can say your windshield is $400 instead of $950. This is what felt sleazy to me. Now I could have walked alway. I’m glad they didn’t hit me with the bill after the fact. But of course, I needed a new windshield and had set this time aside to do it. So I’m sure most just groan and pay the bill. But it left a bad taste in my mouth and I don’t think I’ll use them again, even though this is my 3rd time using them and have been happy up until this point.

I would put zero if I could. They lied about the kind of glass they put in, scammed by making us sign away liability-sadly another family member who was in a hurry did that, not me, and after three chances to fix their issue of not being able to calibrate my Subaru as well as missing glass(?), sent it home to us unfinished and unsafe. After promising to have it done the third time(???) we brought it back. Front desk is the nastiest woman on the planet, and tech was rude as well. The manager fooled me she cared, but she was complicit as well as orchestrated the entire nightmare. What happened to Safelite? Don't bring your Subaru there, at least not this location, as I was told by them how difficult it is to calibrate them-never had an issue before-now I have to go to a dealership for help to calibrate while driving an unsafe vehicle. Additionally the second time I brought it the glass was missing for it and I found out one hour later while sitting there waiting-waiting tor what???? Came back a third time and no one could calibrate, again. The Manager said they wouldn’t charge us the deductible bc of their errors including missing glass and charged us anyway-wow. Makes me sick I gave them three chances…just more chances to mess w our family vehicle. Now I’ll have to worry every day to drive it or have anyone else drive it until our dealership appt.

I typically don’t write a lot of reviews, but I feel obligated to share this experience due to the potential danger it created for my family. I had my windshield repaired at this shop yesterday. While the repair itself appeared to be completed, the technicians failed to reprogram or reconnect my windshield wipers afterward. Unfortunately, I didn’t discover this until I was caught in a sudden rainstorm with no functioning wipers — a situation that was both frightening and hazardous for me and my family. This level of oversight is unacceptable. Properly reinstalling or testing basic safety features like windshield wipers should be a routine part of any windshield service. The fact that it was missed shows a clear lack of care and thoroughness. It’s deeply concerning that such a critical step was either forgotten or ignored. I hope this review encourages the business to take accountability and implement stricter quality control checks to ensure the safety of their customers in the future. I paid a $500 deductible to have my windshield replaced. No one should have to experience this, it was a frightening experience being stuck in a rainstorm with no front wipers!

My husband needed to have the windshield in his Mazda replaced. Using our car insurance app, it was very easy to set the appointment with Safelite. The technician, Isaiah, was very communicative. He called me first thing in the morning to let me know my expected window of arrival and then he even called me to let me know he’d be early if I could accommodate him. Of course, I’ll always take an earlier appointment! Isaiah explain the entire process to me upon arrival and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. The windshield had a very, very minor cosmetic, scratch on it that I could barely see, however, he wanted to give us the option to not have it install installed if we would prefer to get another one. It was so minor my husband couldn’t even see it, but we truly appreciated. Isaiah bringing it to our attention. He assured us that it would not affect the integrity of the windshield in any way and, that if something did happen, the windshield was under a lifetime warranty. Isaiah did a great job and he did it with a smile on his face and a great personality! It was an absolute pleasure dealing with him and we are very pleased.

Had a good experience here. Had 2 small chips on my windshield, both smaller than 1/2 inch each. Originally, I arrived as a walk-in prepared to hand over my card and get it done. The woman who helped me, Shermaine, asked what insurance company I had because they might pay for it. I went back to my car, called the company and sure enough, they coveted it! No deductible or anything. Insurance company scheduled me an appointment with Safelite and I walked back inside to confirm the appointment. Shermaine saved me hundreds on the repair. She's amazing! Safelite ensures you understand for a repair, the spots will still be visible in case you were expecting it to magically be erased. Inside the lobby there are free water and coffee for customers. There is also a gender neutral restroom here. There is a TV to pass the time as well. Overall, great experience. Give my girl Shermaine a raise!

Horrible customer service. Waited over an hour after my appointment time. While in service center waiting, I was texted that they changed my appointment to an hour later (after I’d already arrived an hour earlier for scheduled appt) Inexperienced technicians, couldn’t figure out how to remove windshield then shattered existing windshield leaving glass inside car. Blades supposed to be replaced, that wasn’t done. Technician brought car out-told me there may still be glass fragments inside car ( which were visible) but he said he was too tired to take it back and vacuum. I sent complaint to corporate. Gentleman I spoke with said he would notify local manager. She called and rudely said, so, what’s going on?”. I told her to read the email I sent to corporate and then call me back. She of course never did.

We had a side window of our Chrysler Pacifica. We took it to the Safelite office in Columbia MD. That was a year ago. We were told the window needed to be ordered. It would take 2 weeks. The time came and went no window. Meanwhile we had plastic covering the window. It would leak, we would constantly retapeing the window. We could not call and speak to someone we needed to go by the store. Needless to say we called another local company. They said they could get the window the next day. We were called the next day the window was in, it was supposed to rain the next day they said bring it in that day so we did not need to worry about another leak. The best part it was $75.00 cheaper than Safelite. Almost a year later e have yet to get a call to say the window was in. Never again Safelite!

A car in front of me on the highway kicked up a rock that hit my windshield and cracked it. I use Progressive insurance who works with Safelite, so I only had to pay a small deductible to have the windshield replacement. Scheduling was easy, however I drive a Tesla Model Y and you do have to call the specific shop to request OEM glass if you want that. The shop had to call Progressive to approve OEM glass, and then put in a special order for the OEM glass, which took a few days to deliver. Installation day was straightforward. I dropped the car off and remote worked from the Starbucks across the street for about 3.5 hours until the work was done. Special shoutout to Charmagne at the front desk who was awesome. Thank you!
