The manager, Josh, straight up lied to me about checking on a replacement window for my car. He strung me along for nearly two weeks, changing my appointment multiple times. I called the business he was supposed to be getting my window from, after he said he'd been trying to get through to them but couldn't because there was a problem with the phone lines, and the gentleman at that business told me that no one had called them and that the window has been in their shop for FIVE DAYS! Josh treated me with absolutely no respect at all! He wanted to repair my car window in a sub-standard way that his own service technician didn't want to do! I ended up NOT letting them do the repair. I live nearly 200 miles away from Marshalltown and drove all the way home with plastic covering my window. My husband ended up fixing the window two days later. I talked to Safelite Customer Service about this whole nightmare, letting them know that the manager of their Marshalltown service center was in my opinion a poor excuse for a manager and reflected badly on their company. I would not recommend doing business with this particular Safelite manager. He treated me with neither honesty nor respect.

Appointment was scheduled the beginning of June, 2 days prior to my appointment I was told windshield would be available early July. I was finally able to get an appointment in for August 5th at 9:00am. Dropped it off 15 mins early and was told it would be done within 3 hours. I went back around 12:15p.m and they have not touch the vehicle at all. I live 1 and half hour away, would've been better to get a call if they were backed up. I called at least 8 times and had 3 different representatives tried to get a hold of the location for me but no luck. I arrived there and they didn't even acknowledge that they made a mistake. They told me my key is over there on the back of the counter, and said have a great day bud. Family member had to get half a day off to pick me up and I planned my work schedule to be there by 9:00a.m. It was a waste of our time.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism, Value

Not very happy. At first I was supposed to have a technician come to my home as my back window was busted and I couldn’t drive it. They called me and asked if I could bring it in. I had to deal with my roadside assistance so it could be towed. That was Monday, Tuesday comes the day I was supposed to get it repaired and they call me saying the warehouse never sent them my glass. I said okay keep my car until Thursday as Wednesday it was going to be bad out and they weren’t sure if the warehouse would send it. It’s now Thursday February 21,2019, the technician called me twice while I was sleeping. When I got up I called, no answer. I waited 10 minutes and called again, no answer. Waited another 10 and called, again no answer. Same thing waited 10 again and still no answer. Called 4 times in the past hour and no one answered. Not very happy right now. Probably won’t do business with them again.

When I was using their website to attempt to schedule windshield replacement, I came to a webpage requesting my email address. The small print explained that if I submitted my email address they would not only communicate about my scheduled service, but would also send me unsolicited commercial email (i.e. spam). There was no option to opt out of the spam. So, I closed the webpage and DID NOT submit my email. They sent me spam anyway. So, they're dishonest about email. And, if they'll cheat about a little thing like an email, I'm not going to trust them with a windsheld. Asking them to delete or not to sell the info (that I didn't give permission for in the first place) is a poor solution after the information has already been deceptively acquired, used, and/or sold.NegativeProfessionalism

Safelite was very good as far as workmanship the installer was very good was at my place within the time frame specified on the email but they inflated the price by almost $100 dollars I was really really upset call customer service and complained about the difference in the quote I was given and the price when the installer showed up! The representative I talk to about the difference in price gave me the runaround several different excuses! When I first called for that quote I asked if this is everything including in the price and she said yes! Be aware of price gouging if you get a quote make sure it's in writing!

I would have gave 5 stars at first but a few months ago they replaced my back windshield. Everything was great but I could tell the quality of the glass was not the best. Would give me headaches looking out it. Turns out they use cheaper glass for the rear windshield so if you need your rear windshield fixed please go else where!! My back windshield started cracking and completely shattered not even 6 months after being replaced.. nothing or no one hit me either. Just shattered by itself while I was in my car. $500 down the drain for not even 6 months.

Came out and took windshield out and said it was to rusty to put in the new window. We bought the glass from the guy. Went and bought a wire brush, cleaned around where the windshield went. Guess what? No rust. Complete waste of time. We would have saved a lot of money if we just went to the junk yard and bought a used windshield after all we had to put it in ourselves. Not to mention it was a work truck and we were not at the shop. So they left us stranded without a windshield. But hey. It's in and don't leak.

Corey the installer is absolutely incredible. He didn’t just install a windshield—he restored my trust in the company. His attention to detail, expert knowledge, and willingness to go the extra mile turned a bad experience into a positive one. Because of Corey, I would now recommend Safelite to others. If you ever need windshield replacement, I highly suggest requesting Corey!

I came in to fill a rock chip on a used car I just bought. The worker that helped me, went the extra mile at servicing me. He cleaned writing off all windows, vacuumed the inside and placed my new license plates on my vehicle for me without asking. He was very professional and treated me as the 'Number One' customer.

Technician came to my house was arrogant and rude. Not only failed to fix my windshield, but ruined it where it couldn't be repaired. This came from the mouth of another tech that followed up after voicing my dissatisfaction. Now I'm stuck buying a new windshield at over $400. Guess who wants to sell it to me...
