Scott's Auto Glass

Based on their reviews, I chose them to have a windshield replaced. However, my experience was certainly not 5 star. I went to the shop and maybe that was my mistake - their waiting room was nasty and uncomfortable, reminded me of more where the mechanics would hang out. That alone I'd just say whatever, but after I got home, about every week I had to clean off some type of ooze from the inside of the windshield. Called to discuss and the lady I worked with was super nice and said to bring it back in. So, traipsed all the way over there and got the feeling I was being a nuisance. The guy who helped me seemed more like a trainee and explained that they use some type of grease and/or WD40 to put the mirror back together and it must have been over applied. He seemed unsure about how to clean it, so Scott (the Scott?) came out and helped him. I was standing all of 3 feet away and do you think he acknowledged my existence or here's a crazy thought, apologized for me having to waste another hour and half of my time to bring it back in for them to clean up their mess? The ooze has slowed to almost none and I'll just live with cleaning it but I will never consider using them again.

Highly recommend Scott's Auto Glass. Called Friday afternoon around 4pm about needing to fix a window on a semi. Was able to get an appointment Tuesday morning to get it fixed. Could have had 1st thing Tuesday morning if I wanted that appointment. Everywhere else I called it was going to be the end of the week. We also had the convivence to drop it off Monday night and pick it up Tuesday also. They also were able to come to us clear down in southwest Iowa for like $175 fee (would be cheaper if they had other places to go around my area) if we could not get semi to Des Moines. The price was very very very reasonable. Every where else I called it would be around $400 to get this window fixed. Here it was $275 and after tax and credit card machine fee it was $304. Very please with the company and very easy to work with. Morgan even sent me a picture where to park the semi outside since we were leaving it overnight. Will recommend this company to everyone, and will use in future if needed.

The tall Indian is half stupid and cannot set a window properly.(another customer was there the same day speaking about rain leaking through into the vehicle.) All the owner Scott does is complain about his life and how much he hates his wife and family. The daughter just completely soaked in the smell of a brewery from how much she drinks before work (The owner scott spoke openly about this). The owner Scott is the best scam artist in Des Moines and will screw you with the old, "ohh you get what you pay for," tactic and left all the glass inside my door! I paid to have my car put back to normal from before the window was broke. Had to pay someone else to take my door back all apart to spend 30 seconds with a vacuum. Bunch of lazy bunches of slackers. They charged me $350 for the glass and install on a 30 minute job and the glass at Dakotaland as an every day Joe was only $50! Never go here, horrible people trying to squeeze every dime out of hard working people!

I web searched for auto glass replacement in Des Moines Area. I needed replacement windshield for my Jeep Wrangler. Found four places that allowed me to get a quote via their website(s). Of the four, two contacted me immediately with quotes. One was the "national brand' that runs all the commercials, the other, Scott's. The other's first "opening" at their shop was in two weeks, with an "onsite" option (for doing it at my home) even longer than that. Scott's quote not only was lowest, they said they could come to my home and replace my windshield THAT VERY DAY. Showed up when they said, fixed my windshield (out of doors) and as I said earlier, for about half the cost of the other quote. I'm not sure how they could have done a BETTER job, than what they did for me. Great outfit. Will be my first call if I need any auto glass work in the future.ServicesAuto windshield replacement

They need someone who could attract customers rather than dragging the bussines down. I called them to say that I could be there between 3:45-4pm as I needed to drop my trailer off and go there. Woman on the phone said if I get there by 4pm then I will have to pay extra on top of $400 towards their workers as they finish work 5pm. I was sure that to replace a windshield on semi truck would take 30-40min But the woman sarcastically asked me if I knew their job better than them. Likely I found R&B Auto Glass, they replaced the windshield in 25-30min for $300 Man on the phone was polite and professional.

I was driving on the interstate on my way to work, when my rear view window shattered. I called Scott’s Auto Glass early in the morning and was able to schedule an appointment on the same day. While at his shop, I was desperately searching for a cab to get to work, and Scott graciously offered me a ride to work. He also stayed late to wait for me to pick up my car. I am so grateful and appreciative! Price was affordable, service great, all the work was done within an hour. Scott is a professional and a kind person, very satisfied with his service! Definitely recommend to everyone!!!

In this life, you’re either a fart smella or a smart fella. And the folks at Scott’s Auto Glass are smart fellas. They were professional, friendly, got us an appointment first thing in the morning for the day after we called, and were done with our windshield replacement within the time estimate they gave and for the exact price they quoted us over the phone, which was very reasonable and almost $200 less than what Safelite quoted us. The whole process was fairly quick for a replacement and the work is solid. We’re 100% satisfied and would recommend Scott’s to anyone!

I had a cracked windshield that Scott's Auto Glass remotely came out to replace. I had a couple issues and they came out to my work and fixed those issues. Excellent customer service! Two weeks later, I had a rock chip in the same windshield. I took it to their business to repair it. They were friendly, efficient, and cost friendly. Scott's Auto Glass did a great job! They replaced my windshield the next morning after I called. They were done in a little over a half hour. The price was about $100 cheaper than the big name competitor. I did have to return because the mirror had a mounting issue, but they quickly (5-10 minutes) resolved the issue. Called needing my windshield replaced in my GMC. Morgan scheduled me for the next day. Service was professional and prompt. The tech looks like he did a stand up job on the installation. Thanks Morgan for being very helpful, I'm definitely following the directions you told me for the care of the windshield. If you need a new windshield or any other glass services.
