Guy spent ten minutes on a finger-nail sized crack in windshield, which developed a "tail" within one hour of so-called repair. And within half a mile of departure from facility. Told to bring back in, same repair person spent less than three minutes then announced that it couldn't be repaired but kept my money, with zero offers to adjust the price! No thanks, I could have bought a kit and attempted the same quality of repair as an attentive novice and may have gotten better results! He just really didn't care about anything other than the money and it showed. Even suggested a new windshield for a 1.5 millimeter tail!

Update! 9/23/2024 This is the best place to get glass replacement in town! This is my second time going through summit city and I’m still blown away by the service! This time I have more than 6 rock chips in the windshield from a two week trip out west. Rocks just kept flying! I was quoted $980 something at belle tire to replace this windshield but summit city auto glass quoted much less! (UNDER 400!) Prior review ~2022 They quoted HALF the price of Safelite. Half. It’s not just a money thing though: I had issues with safelite. Was going through them for years for multiple windshields (Jeeps are CURSED) however, I was scheduled through safelite for a chip repair early December, technician there said it wasn’t needed, he seemed impatient and I felt like I was hurried away…. Skip to that quick freeze we just experienced here in Indiana. With -degree temps and windchill adding to it… I’m driving down the interstate and hear a MASSIVE popping noise. It’s the windshield safelite said didn’t need repaired. I called Summit City Auto Glass, and spoke to Chuck later that day. He seems so kind and caring. We even briefly talked about wild birds and how the cold was effecting them. Was scheduled in quickly for a replacement. Super efficient service and a cozy lounge to study for a test while waiting. Technicians in the shop seemed really nice too. Bet it’s an awesome place to work.

Last year i had Summit City replace my front windshield. They drove to my work and replaced it. No issues and great service. This year, i had a problem with my Rear Window. The defroster wires were cracking and peeling off. I called summit city, and they came and replaced it no problem. After replacement, i noticed waves in the glass (factory defect). I called them back and they have went above and beyond to get me a new one. Jessica and the rest of the staff are courteous, professional and willing to do what it takes to solve my issue. Updated to note that they promptly got ahold of me to apologize and explain what happened. Everyone has bad days and I think it’s important to note when companies/people make it right. Had a leak from a windshield they put in a little over a year ago. They were so kind on the phone and told me it wouldn’t take long at all to take a look at. I was there for over an hour with no update. The techs were having a very large,loud disagreement in the garage. Then I just got a “you’re all set.” I have no idea what was fixed or what was done with it. Tried to ask the guy when I was getting in my car and he just kind of shrugged.

I came in to ask about replacing the side mirror on my car after accidentally hitting a mailbox and breaking the glass. The team was incredibly helpful and took the time to inspect the damage thoroughly. They explained that I would actually need to replace the entire mirror assembly to fix it properly, which I really appreciated them clarifying upfront. Even though I wasn't ready to replace it that day, they still went out of their way to screw the mirror in place so it wouldn’t dangle — and they did it free of charge. Their kindness and willingness to help on the spot really stood out.

I am so happy with my experience with this company! I called Monday morning and got an accurate quote over the phone and made an appointment for the next day. The cost was a bit higher than other competitors, however they went above and beyond on my ford focus windshield replacement. I was kept informed on the entire service throughout. My original cracked windshield had a leak and was rusting pretty bad around the top of the seal. They did as much as they could to flake the rust off and prime it with rust protector. I unfortunately wasn't able to get any sort of Warranty due to it already being rusted but that is understandable. I would highly recommend.

Working with Jessica and Chuck was easy and was extremely reasonably priced. I took my Honda to them for some weather stripping that was needing replaced around the windshield. Jessica worked with me on getting the materials and once received, she was able to get me in timely and get it fixed. When I went to pay, I was taken aback by the cost. It was a great experience and I will definitely use their services again in the future and would highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

I received two highly recommended companies for windshield replacement. Got a quote from both and Summit City Auto Glass was about 10% cheaper. They came out to my work and replaced my windshield two days later. Nice guys and reassuring about quality with all their guarantees. I did have to wait 5 or 10 minutes out in the hot sun to pay because when they called in to use my credit card their employee wasn't at their desk. Still not a issue!
