Was quoted to replace my driver side window and scheduled an appointment to have the service completed. Appointment was scheduled for the first available time slot and it was a week from the day I requested the service. During that week, I was prompted through text to provide information to better assist Safelite in ensuring they had the correct info about my vehicle. I provided the VIN number so they could have the correct specs and order or bring the correct parts to complete my service. Fast forward to the day of the appt and the technician did show up at the time that was scheduled. Commences to get started and half way through, the technician calls me and tells me they have the wrong part and that the correct part would be DOUBLE the original price I was quoted. I was now in middle of an old bait and switch. I asked if the technician even had the correct part to complete the service. He did not. In fact, he informed me that they did not even have the correct part in stock. So after waiting an entire week to have this service completed, after providing the VIN so that way they knew exactly the specs of vehicle, my service was not completed. After speaking to the manager, he informed me they were aware that the part they sent the technician with, was probably not the correct one. Manager said he had tried to call me in order to discuss this. I never received a phone call. Even though they knew this was the wrong part, they still sent the technician out to complete the service. Complete waste of my time and complete waste of company resources. Company is a joke. Do not waste your time

Do yourself a favor and go with a local shop that will warranty and stand behind their work. Prior owner of my truck hired them to do new windshield. They brought the wrong one. I purchased in between and he rerouted them to my house. The installer came and did the install, gave me a pamphlet with my warranty info. and went over it with me. I thought nothing more of it. In the install, he chipped the paint pretty good as his tools hit my truck. It was like pulling teeth to get them to even buy me a paint pin to repair the large chip. Then discovered my rear view mirror vibrated to where you couldn't see. Drove 45 minutes to closest location and they reattached mirror and told me installer didn't have proper tools. Then discovered that the window leaked during rain. I called the warranty line and said that if the vehicle changes hands, the warranty is void. I called corporate and the local area manager. Corporate said I'm on my own and area manager wouldn't even answer his phone. Went to a small local shop and had the window reset. They found where the installer didn't seal properly. It fixed the issue. I have since had my daughter (who lives out of state) need a new windshield and went to a local shop. They did a great job. My point is, go to a small local shop and ask their warranty terms, etc. You will get a better job and they will stand behind their work. I will never use Safelite again. Caused me a bunch of hassle and extra money when it was all their fault. No thanks.

Horrible horrible horrible expirence. windshield replaced due to rock cracking windshield more that 10 in long or so. Took car in, windsheild was replaced. Pretty quick. Called and went to pick the vehicle up. As soon as I started driving, horrible, annoying noise noticed from windsheild and dash area. Figured I'll give it a few days and it will go away. Never did. Had to take it back in to get worked on to get rid of the noise. The technician pretty much told me I was imaging the noise. They worked on the vehicle all day 9-5. I eneded up going into the establishment because it was 430 and never heard a word from them. They were out on a "test drive" what for, i don't know because they apparently didint hear the same noise coming from windsheild as i did. To put it simply, the windsheild was NEVER installed correctly. Half asked job, im sure by an untrained technician. Clearly that person had no clue what they were doing. Multiple trips into safelight with no success. Thanks to safelight, I got rid of the vehicle (march 1) due to the constant annoying noise. Sad sad sad outcome. I will never step foot in a safelight building again, or recommend them. They cost me thousands.

Had an awful time trying to schedule my windshield replacement. The Safelite website chat person I chatted with didnt care to read my messages/replies and continued to ask the same questions I had already answered! She stated that the appt would take an estimated 3 hours and it really didnt even take 2 hours. The website for the Fort Wayne location does not list a phone number. The business hours state that they are open until 5pm but I was told by the front desk person that they close promptly at 430. The scheduling confirmation email stated that I would receive communication when my car was almost done, so I could head back their way. Instead I got a call at 4:19pm to tell me my car was ready and needed to be picked up by 4:30! I was not 11 mins away! They stated they would leave my car keys under my mat but they ended up leaving them in plain sight on the center console! Yes, their work was fast and efficient but dang they all need to work on their communication skills!! I would say my overall experience was "ehh"!!

Initially set up an appointment for them to come fix the back window in my truck... after fully explaining which window, they showed up with the wrong part. Could've been an honest mistake, shrugged it off. I had to reschedule an appointment and drop my truck off at the FORT WAYNE LOCATION, but when I arrived DURING OFFICE HOURS (before 5pm) the day before, the shop was closed. After leaving my keys in the drop box the night before, I expected to get updates or some form of communication the next day... They didn't do ANYTHING for communication, I had to call 3 different times to try to get any information. I had to stay OVER 30 MINUTES PAST business hours. Hot garbage... it would be less of a headache to replace it myself. Would give less than 0 stars if I could.

Wasn't happy with the price, service, or re-service. Initially scheduled at my house. Was told it needed to be in the garage and space to do the work due to temperatures and snow. Completely understandable. However, the guy that replaced it left the garage open the whole time to listen to his music and spent 6 hours replacing it. In doing so lost a nut to my windshield wiper as well. The job looked botched, but I figured I would wait a few days and test with a car wash. Ended up leaking as I thought it would. I then had to take it to Safelite as to not have additional issues and got nothing for it. Just my time wasted to be there to fix the problem that should have been done right the first time. Over $350...seems I got the bad end of the stick.

Walking in to the building wasn't the best. There was no one at the counter when I arrived. A woman came from the back office and it seemed like I was bothering her because I needed to check in. There was plenty of room in in the waiting area for customers so that was nice. The technician working on my SUV came to show me a blemish on the new windshield which I appreciated. I was issued a discount for taking the windshield with a blemish and I really appreciated that. Installation took about an hour. The final interaction I had with the woman at the counter was very pleasant so all in all I would highly recommend this location. Windshield is great and so far no issues.

Eric was the technician that came and fixed my husbands windshield on Monday. He was very respectful, professional, and did a great job. We talked after he finished and told me how he was traveling from Illinois to help out, and I think that’s true dedication to be able to travel away from family to help out! I have respect for people who are dedicated to their jobs to be able to do that, it takes a lot of strength to be away from family to support them and work. I know this because my husband does this very thing too. We appreciate him coming all the way out to Hicksville, OH to fix a windshield!

This office out of Fort Wayne were great. They worked with me on scheduling my appointment. Then I made a mistake on scheduling and I wanted it done a day earlier than originally scheduled and they said “no problem “. They did it the next day plus it was raining when they called me to let me know they were on their way. I told them I had a garage to use. I met them at the site. The technician said the garage was too small so they would have to take more time and do it the hard way. They did anyway and were very happy to help me get it done. I’ll always call them first on all of my glass needs.

Did amazing great priced came at the times they said got it done in a half an hour I couldn't be more happier to have a window without the break in it. Even got windshield wipers with it and am very pleased. The tech was super nice gave me all the warnings before even starting then told my husband the same thing when he was done. 5 star for sure. I set everything up online picked my day and time tech called that morning to give a closer time to when he would be here. Kevin was my tech and there was another guy I did not get his name. Thank you so much
