Extremely disappointed with the quality of the glass installed. We had a couple of glass chips in the line of sight and chose to replace the windshield rather than repair the chips. Within 1 week a rock hit the windshield and the glass chipped then spiderweb a few inches. Because chips in the open windshield never spread I questioned the quality but since it was a new incident I again got the windshield replaced. Staff at the Elgin location were really helpful and even gave a small discount on the cost of the second windshield being installed. But now it’s been a couple weeks and there is already numerous surface chips in the windshield. I feel like the quality of the glass is terrible since there has been no rocks or anything big hitting my window there should not be any chips. I attempted to get it looked at in another location(Akron Ohio) and they said it’s new damage so it wouldn’t be covered under warranty and surface chips so they won’t do anything for it. So much for a nation wide warranty satellite has so many exclusions in the warranty there might as well not be one. Go somewhere else if you are going to replace the windshield as it will not last.

We scheduled my Son's Van to have windshield replaced. Got multiple messages confirming the appointment. Arrived at the designated time. Nobody upfront had to go into the back to get someone. They said appointment was for the 24th. I said it's today & showed them the confirmation. Gave them the phone number & they found it. He goes & checks & windshield wasn't there. He said it was in transit would the 27th work. Please keep in mind they confirmed the appointment that morning with a text! I just walked out. I'd not recommend such a poorly run operation. They wasted our time. Now going to find somewhere else to get it repaired. This was a huge inconvenience for our family coordinating dropping off & a ride. Not even an apology.

The process of getting my windshield replaced was very simple and minimal effort was required. I was offered to have someone come to my office to replace the windshield but there was rain in the forecast so I decided to bring the car in to the shop in Elgin, which was only about five minutes from my office. Everyone was nice to work with and they gave me an estimate of how long the process would take. I dropped the car off and in about 2 hours got a call saying it was finished. All was good and 3 weeks later no issues. They also worked with my insurance so I didn't have to spend a lot of time getting things set up. If needed I would definitely come back to the Safelite repair center in Elgin, IL.

I'm not happy with my experience here. I'm not a glass expert so I have no proof of this but I believe they "fake" repaired my wife's windshield so we'd have to come back for the more expensive replacement. Because the repair looked like it barely changed. The cracks were still there and now less than 30 days since the "repair" the original less than half inch Crack has splintered into over 8 inches! I was excited when they first did the repair because it was fast, but not I'm suspicious. Because now the $69 repair has become a $1200 replacement in exactly 22 days. I'll never return here.

My technician, Christopher, was excellent and honest. I set up an appointment for a windshield chip I noticed on a car I had just purchased, and apparently missed during inspection. He explained it wasn’t new – someone had previously tried to repair it and hadn’t done it properly. Instead of moving ahead with the service, he was honest and shared he couldn’t complete a proper, full repair because of this. He and his manager refunded my fee and helped me document the situation for the dealership.

I scheduled 2 appointments at this shop for my truck through my insurance - driver side window replacement and a windshield repair. They completed the job incredibly fast! It took them just 45 minutes to do everything. Managers and technicians are very friendly and motivated . It looks like they know how to do their job. Absolutely no complaints! Will see how long the new window and the fixed windshield will last.

Recently I used Safelite Auto Glass to replace and install a windshield for my car. Getting a fair quote and scheduling an appointment was so easy online. The Safelite Technician came to our house and installed the windshield professionally. He did an excellent job. Very satisfied with the service. I strongly recommend Safelite Auto Glass.

I've used Safelite for years to replace windshields on semi trucks (different location). This time I needed the wife's Volvo windshield replaced and recalibrated for its self-driving features. Quick, easy process. Tested everything after and it works perfectly. Car was returned clean and spotless. Highly recommend!

Quick and easy, friendly tech, communicated well ahead of time. Bumped my appointment up when there was a cancellation. Convenient payment on my phone and was able to save significantly with a promo code. Not something I want to do again, but since I had to do it, the experience was just fine. Got warranty too.

Excellent Service by Marco and the Safelite team. I had an issue with my insurance during my window replacement service and Marco and his team did a great job clearing up the issue. The service was super quick and efficient even though it was 30 degrees outside! Highly recommend for any auto window replacement.
