Fernandez Auto Glass

Here's the reason for 3 stars. Return to the shop 5 minutes later after driving around the block. I clearly noticed so much light was coming in the back window, of course I've been driving my car for years and I know the window I look through daily. I personally remove some of the broken glass So don't understand why he lying about it. They do great work for great prices I don't, why lie and try to make the customers sound crazy. The guy comes out and stated there's just something wrong with my eyes and that I need to get my eyes checked. Basically completely gaslighted me. All he had to do is just simply say we didn't have the exact match but this is the closest we can get and I would have been totally fine. But to suggest I need to get my eyes checked on what I see very clearly I'm in the car on a daily basis I just really piss me off but I found laughing allow me not to snap is hard as I wanted. It was difficult to get the focus but you tell me, are all the glasses the same? And which one doesn't match? Like I said, it's not an issue but lying and gaslighting a customer is just con like to me could have just been honest admit that we both are looking at the same thing. I literally just picked up my daughter and that's the first thing she noticed it was brighter in the back. On top of that, I had to fasten three sections of the inside where they remove the hard plastic. The pictures of the last piece I already secured all the way around before it took the picture. On top of that all I hear is glass in my trunk rallying around under the window in that hollow part of the between fiberglass and the plastic in the inside. Especially when I close the trunk are you here is glass shaking around.

When you have a need for an auto glass replacement shop, this Back of the Yards location is the one to patronize. Drive up, be directed in, speak with a courteous employee or two, get a quote, agree to service, and step out of the vehicle. Depending on how busy they are, you then have an opportunity to have a front row seat to watch various windows, reculators, etc., be replaced or step into a waiting room. Their service is quick and efficient. To date, price gouging has not been an issue. The front desk/payment clerk is also kind and efficient. I have pulled up to other locations, but I come back to Fernandez on 51st and Ashland and recommend it regularly.

The reason I'm giving a one 🌟. I came in to get a windshield I got the windshield but got my ring diamond ring stolen too, the man told me to get out and go in the waiting area and when he's done, I will come right back out to my car. We'll when he got done my car was parked across in there parking lot. It wasn't were he said it will be. That was strange to me. When I got home that's when I noticed that my ring was gone. My Mother's Day was messed up. 😔 😟 When I called I talked to a man then he's gonna start to speak to me in a different language, so he then gave the phone to Rita she then said he didn't see it. I will never recommend anyone to this place.

Called to get an estimate on the phone at 12:00 PM. Got the best offer between 3 other shops. Dropped off the car at 1:00 PM. Car done around 3:00 PM same day. Awesome service, techs were nice and knowledgeable. Highly recommend they have a lot of windshields in stock so no need to wait, put a deposit or order your windshield. Not only that but they transferred my city stickers nicely and installed My iPass and garage transponders. Super well done couldn’t ask for a better service. Place is busy but they work fast.

This place was recommended to me by a friend, another satisfied customer! I unfortunately came out at the beginning of the day around 7am and my back passenger window had been shattered. I called multiple places, even over to Indiana…expecting it to be cheaper. They by far had the cheapest quote, with the most expedited and professional service. I got in around noon and was out within an hour. I loved that very much, made my day much better and I will return in the future if needed!

I asked if they can clean the glass from the front two seats because I had a lot of stuff in the back. They were more interested in going through my personal belongings and ended up taking all my stuff in my change department. They closed it so I wouldn’t notice, I had gold jewellery bagged up in that box department and they tried saying it got stuck in the vacuum. Will never be returning to a place they steal your personal items!!!

Rip off’s! My sunroof wouldn’t close. Came to the shop. They spoke in spanish amongst each other, got some old guy he looks and says 800 to repair the whole thing. I said just close the roof. The man looked at me with shifty eyes and said 150 just to let it down. Saying he needs 2hrs. That’s not a two hour job. So basically 75 a hour for 20 minutes of work. I pulled right off. Please go elsewhere. They don’t deserve a one star.

Horrible place. Gave me a quote over the phone then when I arrived said they didn’t have the windshield anymore that they just sold it 1 minute ago. Then said they had it new for $270. I walk away and call for a quote they give me one price over the phone and tried to change the price in person when I came back in. They love to finesse and I’m all for a good finesse. Just not on my dime. I’m cool

This is an amazing place. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They give an estimate time on the wait and they are done on or before the time they estimate. The service is next to none. They really know what they are doing here. The value can not be beaten anywhere. They were half the cost of every other place I got a quote from. Thanks guys, keep up the Outstanding Job!!

The price was good 150 for an install with the glass but my air bag on the passenger side had received scratches my key fob and car key and gotten chunks chipped off was not informed that they did all this as well so take that as you will. They did not bother to even put a trap or anything over the dash so they just shoot glass all over your car but the glass they used was good
