My Safelite experience started out in North Dakota. Because of the making model of my car, they didn’t have the glass I needed, but to get it the next day. I was traveling across country and wasn’t able to wait as I had a deadline. They recommended that I go to an another Safelite repair in the next state over that was towards my destination who did have. So I did that. The following day, I. Showed up in Minnesota. That Safelite did have the glass, but it was raining so hard that they were unable to Replace the glass as they would’ve had to test drive and calibrated it which they could not do in the rain. It’s not normal glass. It has Cameras attached for the safe driving features. Moving forward I couldn’t stay because it would’ve been two days before the rain stopped. I went onto my destination and then drove back home to eastern Oregon. In total about two weeks. Fast-forward to Day before yesterday, I just pulled into Safelite and Caldwell Idaho gave them my name and my phone number and they had all of my information pulled up In a matter of moments. I didn’t have to hassle, I didn’t have to stress about anything. 2 1/2 hours later My window is perfect again. The people are kind and they’re fast/efficient. I recommend Safelight to anybody who has a window need. They replace any kind of window not just Front windshield. The consistency across the board wasn’t the way they work. It’s the type of people that Safelite Hires. It’s in their training, but most of all it’s in their personal attitudes. I’ve seen all kinds of people and all kinds of cars drive in, and they are always the same towards their customers. Personable, kind, and knowledgeable.

This review is not necessarily based on Safelite as a whole or the technician that came out to install my windshield. This review is based on the experience of how Safelite handled my claim. 2017 Volvo xc90 April 8th 2025. Initially, it seemed like it was going to be an amazing repair. I put in a request, and one day later, I had a brand new windshield. Unfortunately, I have a vehicle that requires calibration. The technician had to come out twice. Once to remove the windshield, then a second time, with the proper tools to align the camera system. After the second time they came back they took my car for a couple hours and upon returning, were still unable to do the calibration. They said that they may need to get a new windshield to calibrate successfully. They said they would call me and schedule when the part came in. About a week later, I was able to successfully recalibrate my vehicle. This took a few hours of my own time of removing the batteries(2), cleaning cameras and windshield, driving etc. May 29th 2025. Almost two months later, they call me to reschedule an appointment. I told them that I wasn't sure if I trusted them to reinstall a new windshield and calibrate the vehicle. I have chosen to deny the new windshield, but they still have to come out and prove, by code reader, that they have successfully calibrated the vehicle... even though they didn't. I can safely say I'm leery of them hooking up a machine to my vehicle at this point. If I need to use a windshield replacement service again I think a different windshield installer or the dealer might be suited for my vehicles needs.

I went to the Caldwell location to get my windshield replaced due to rock chip damage. The first thing they did was put on a 3rd party windshield that wasn’t compatible with my vehicle. I then had to take it back for a OEM windshield that was compatible with my car. During this time they damage my water sensor and ripped my rear view mirror off damaging the new windshield. They then glued it back on to hide their mistake. Since this cost the casing to my mirror was constantly falling off and I had to go back to that casing installed properly. When I discovered this I called and spoke with an employee who offered to replace the windshield. They had me come to the location to make an appointment and I spoke with another employee who assisted with making my appointment and reconfirming that I would get the replacement. When I showed up for my appointment I was told by a 3rd employee that I wasn’t in there system and they didn’t have anyone on site who could perform the only job they do. I had to make another appointment. When I arrived to my appointment I spoke a 4th individual who denied any wrong doing and would not replace my windshield. This location will waste your time and money. Going anywhere else would be worth the drive.

About a month ago, I had the windshield replaced on my Malibu. The car was getting fixed up to be sold in the coming months. They replaced the glass in about an hour and thirty minutes, and it was an awesome experience all together. One week after getting it replaced, we noticed a defect on the glass. After going through other companies, I figured I would have to jump through hoops to get a warranty done through them. It was as simple as giving them a call, and having a tech come out and take a look at it. This time, Jordy came out, and was super helpful. He instantly saw the defect, didn’t have to have me point it out. He took the keys, and literally had the windshield replaced in 20 minutes flat. I am super impressed with the service that I got all around, but the warranty replacement they really shined. I feel like most companies make a big stink on replacement warranty work, and the workers themselves usually act different on these jobs. I just want to praise this company, and Jordy for the work that they do. If I ever need a new glass replacement, you guys have earned my business for all future endeavors.

Customer service is not good. I had a windshield replaced. They were pretty quick only a couple of hours. Picked it up and went home. Later I figured out my windshield sprayer was not working. I called them. Took forever to get the local office that did my work. Talked to the front desk lady. She told me she would have a technician come to my work either Tuesday or Wednesday. Here we are Thursday and not even a call from them. I am not even going to bother calling them back. I figured out the problem as the technician did not hook back up the line going from the sprayers. Hooked it back up. Still no help or word from the local office. I will definitely not be going back to them.

Had my windshield replaced recently and couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, Raul was professional and efficient. He not only replaced the windshield flawlessly, but also took the time to recalibrate everything, including the safety sensors and cameras, which gave me peace of mind. The entire job was done in under two hours—way faster than I expected—and he walked me through the final checks to make sure everything was functioning correctly. You can tell he takes pride in doing it right. Highly recommend for anyone needing fast, reliable windshield replacement with all the tech handled properly.

Use another location! Tech broke my wiper arm cover and scratched the other up during installation. I have been trying to get this resolved for a month now. Multiple calls to Safelite customer service and have talked to two different techs. A used part was dropped off at my house and I was told two new parts would be dropped off....no such luck. Iu. Didn't want to have to go full Karen on the situation, but here I am. I have tried to get this resolved 6 phone calls in 30 days between shop, Safelite customer service and 2 techs and I get an awful used part! I can not recommend this location.

My car and I were treated as an afterthought. It was dropped off in the morning and finally retrieved just before 6:00. Cars dropped off after mine for replacements were long gone. The replacement windshield was not clean and still had some sort of sticky substance, tape marks, and something that makes the windshield appear pitted. None of the other windows were cleaned. The dash was slightly dusted. I watched other technicians go over everything they had done with their customers. I was just handed the keys and told, "Here you go."

I've always had a great experience with the shop. I have had them come out to my house at least three times to replace front windshields in our vehicles. They are prompt, speedy, friendly, and always informative. My recent experience was at their shop directly. The front desk receptionist was super nice. My service was super quick. All the staff was very friendly. They offered coffee options, had a TV, some toys for kids, and a public restroom. All in all, my experience with Safelite has always been great!
