I just took in my brand-new Porsche Macan for a windshield replacement (at the Pompano location), and received cordial and prompt attention to scheduling the appointment (thank you, Willie). I used this third-party shop as prescribed by the dealership (Champion Porsche). As far as I can tell, the new windshield looks fine, as expected for a glass shop exhibiting proficiency and experience, though I will follow-up and adjust my review accordingly if I notice anything not quite right. My immediate concern was after the work was done, just before driving off, I noticed both tiny and sizable glass chips scattered all over the seats, between the seats, under the seats, in the crevices of the seats, on the floor, on the dashboard, and even in the driver side and front passenger windows (see attached pictures). I inquired promptly, and was given due attention by them blowing out the car's interior for the glass particles. I inspected, and found more particles. They blew it out some more. I inspected, and still found more particles. Out of an abundance of caution and concern, I requested a thorough vacuuming, which was partially done. I am unsure why they did not preemptively offer this service (though I suspect it is because they do not typically do it, as when I asked why there were even glass particles everywhere in the first place, they could not tell me definitively, though I surmise they simply shattered the old windshield during the replacement, but would not admit to it as it would imply poor or improper work and fault on their end). Still noticing remnants of glass particles even after vacuuming, I had to personally spot check and request additional vacuuming, and in some cases just carefully hand-picked and disposed of the glass particles that I could see myself. Besides the less important concern for glass chips damaging the car's interior and seats (which, given the nature of car, would not be inexpensive to repair/replace), of much stronger concern to me was passenger and driver safety, inasmuch as children and pets in the car could be cut by or, God-forbid ingest, glass particles that they see (or worse, cannot see) or touch or sit on or step on or that get caught on them or on their clothes (in my case, to my shoes). I cannot, in good conscience, invite passengers into the car knowing that there are still remnants of glass particles that could potentially harm them (God-forbid some particles get into the vents and blow into their eyes or face) and be personally liable for bodily injury. As a shop specializing in glass work, I expected at the very least that this was understood, and that as a necessary precaution, they would take the liberty of ensuring additional safety steps without the customer needing to be the one to notice or ask, or to have to hover over workers to see the steps carried out properly and professionally. I wound up being the one apologizing for having to ask for additional assistance and wasting their time with continuously spotting more chips and having to ask for further attention, but was not offered any apology or explanation for what or why it happened or for the hassle on my end. I respect the time of others as my own, which I had to spend (at the cost of personal time off from work) continuously inspecting after their attempts to clean up their mess, which was only partially done. It concerns me that if this is the quality of how my car was left for me, I cannot have confidence that the windshield replacement itself was done 100% properly. Common sense dictates that the car should have been returned to me in 100% of the state that it was brought to them, meaning 0% glass particles inside the car, or if they were unable to do so, they ought to cover the cost of having it thoroughly cleaned or detailed by someone who can remove 100% of the glass particle mess they created to restore the car's interior to 100% of its original state.

They changed the windshield of my Freightliner Cascadia 2022, it is not an old truck and it is the first time they removed the windshield of this truck and it has water leaking inside the cab, I called them to inform about the problem and send them the videos and they say no It is their fault, that it is the fault of the sealant on my truck and I am telling them that it is a new truck and that it had never any problems with leaks inside the cab until they changed the windshield on this truck, unacceptable and unprofessional work. And what I can read in their reviews, I'm not the only one who has had problems with water leakage when they change a windshield 👎, And yes I listened to you, you meant that the truck already had the leaking problem and that these trucks have this problem and it is not true, the truck never had water leaking until you changed the windshield and I called you formally just to inform you, I would lose more money bringing my truck to you again than having it fixed where the truck is located. I just called you so it wouldn't happen to other clients but I see that you have already done it with other clients.

Brought my car, they replaced the windshield and there was a ton of wind after leaving the shop and my wipers kept coming on randomly. Returned and they notice the issue where the windshield wasn't sealed and they were prompt to fix it. I mentioned the wipers coming on randomly and there was zero issues before bringing it in. They told me they don't have anything to do with the rain sensing wipers but they would take a look at it. They told me they put in a new sensor, as I drove out wipers started to come on randomly every 10 seconds. Decided to fix the problem myself. Researched and found that if the gel between the windshield and the rain sensing sensor had bubbles it would activate the rain sensing wipers. Had to buy a new gel for $25 and replaced it myself. It's disappointing that I was told they don't touch the rain sensing sensor yet still it has to be removed for them to replace the windshield. Even more disappointing I pointed out the issue and as professionals they couldn't fix it themselves and it took me 10 Mins of research and 5 more mins to install the new gel.

I took my car to fix the front windshield and when they pulled the tape they peeled the paint off the roof of my 2015 Nissan Altima. I spoke with the owner Willie provided my Vin number as he was going to order the paint to correct the mishap that happened. I know this company for over 20 years and it has been 3 months of continuing to call them to find out if they received the paint so I can bring my car in for them to paint it and they keep giving me the runaround. Willie will call you back is what I get all day long and he never does. What happened to the Customer is always right as when I first brought the car my car was not damaged without any missing paint from my dealership. It was after they peeled the tape to hold the window that the damage occured. Not acceptable. Charlie's Auto has damaged my car and will not take the steps to rectify what they have done. Not cool Willie and staff.

You decide! Whether to trust Charlie’s Auto Glass of Pompano Beach with your precious vehicle? My truck came out of their workshop with serious damage to the roof after a simple windshield replacement. I did not see that damage on my truck when I left it with them, and I know and love my truck closely, I would have seen that! The owner or manager quickly called the technician who did the job, the technician had miraculously left the scene immediately. The technician said the damage was there when he started the job. The manager took the technicians word and took no responsibility for the damage. With many glass repair options it’s up to you to decide whether you can trust your vehicle to Charlie’s Auto Glass Pompano. I did and now I have $1,000 of auto body repair work to get done.

Absolutely horrible. I have a 2019 mini cooper. The were supposed to put a oem windshield in but installed aftermarket junk. Chipped the post on passenger side and scratches on roof and drivers side post. Gasket on both sides are ruined and big gaps in trim. I meticulously maintain this car for them to deny any of this being their fault is embarrassing on their part. Paid for top quality work and got beyond substandard material and poor workmanship at best. They tried to explain to me in Spanish what excuses they had but I do not speak Spanish. I'm not one to complain but do not EVER use Charlies Auto Glass. They are not the company they used to be and Absolutely act like they could care less. Tommy McDonald. Super unhappy customer

Cesar came out today and installed my windshild he was great! Did a very professional job he was very polite and cleaned up afterwards and explained everything.. I am very pleased as I told Cesar about a issue with Safe lite the insurance had sent them but they flat out said they could not replace windshield due to little rust spot.. I called my Insurance adjuster back and requested Charlies as our family always used Charlies on the past for cars and trucks from power windows to windshields the adjuster from my Insurance changed the installer to Charlies and we are so happy the windshield is in and all is well. thank you Cesar and Charlies! I highly recommend Charlies Auto Glass and Cesar! 😃

Highly recommended! I had to wait 1 week for Safelite’s appointment for them to tell me during the appointment they ordered the wrong glass for my repair and gave me no follow up appointment. Which at this point, I called Charlie’s before they closed and they told me to come in next day at 8am. Got my passenger side glass replaced in 20 minutes and paid HALF of what Safelite was charging me. One of the most reliable and no nonsense companies I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with in a long time.ServicesAuto side window replacement

I called near the end of the day and spoke with Mark who was very friendly & gave me an accurate quote & an honest answer to my issue of needing it fixed ASAP before I would be relocating in less than one week. I was told they would have to special order my window & would receive it within 1-2 business days but would put a rush on the order due to my situation. It was there the next day & they were able to schedule me to come in asap & fixed it within about one hour which was exactly what I was told. Highly recommended!
