The one star is for the 1 positive. The lady from the office is really nice on the phone. But anything positive stops there. 1. The glass they use is very sub par. Sadly even looks cheap, most after market windshields at least don't look like they were ordered off temu. 2. They will come up with any reason not to take ownership of the warranty. Literally told me my windshield wiper caused the crack. Guys points out "see the rubber from the wiper touches right here where the crack is, so it caused the crack." So a rubber windshield wiper broke your cheap temu class ...... and you wont warranty it, really classy joint. This worked out ok, once I explained this to Geico, they authorized me to get an oem windshield so that we would not have to return to this company. Note: They do not work directly for Geico, they were subbed in by Gerber Collision to do the glass. Gerber did great body work, just make sure to specifically tell them not to use Mikes for your glass. 3. They replaced my rear glass as well. I am concerned now about the quality after reading some other reviews, but it seems ok for now and does not leak. BUT, the rear defroster did not work after installation. I called about it, they sent someone back out, and the guy had a serious attitude. They "Plugged it in" and left. It worked 1 time then quit. This is where it gets interesting. So my service call for today was to inspect and replace the windshield, and check the rear defrost. Again, installers show up with a defensive attituded at initial hello. The fact that them and the lady on the phone start with defensive excuses before any conversation even starts, just affirms that they do this type of crap business regularly. They tell me the rubber wiper broke the glass they installed and that I was going to need a new claim. Then left without looking at the rear defrost. I called and the lady in the office says the technician told her it didn't work before the new glass was installed. Where in the world did he come up with that. Again, they will NOT take responsibility for their shoddy quality and work. Attached are photos of the crack and the "guilty" blade. Plus an additional image of how they will leave the covers for your rain sensors behind your mirror. Bottom line, if bad attitudes, shoddy work, and the cheapest quality made in China glass available is your thing, then Mikes Auto Glass is for you!

These folks went out of their way to work with my auto insurance to replace the windshield with OEM equipment and managed to have the entire cost covered. They came highly recommended by the dealership as well as the reputable collision centers. Not only do they provide lifetime guarantee on their work against installation issues or leaks but they are a preferred partner of allstate which backs the guarantee for the lifetime ownership of the vehicle. They had my windshield ordered and installed in less than a week. Nothing but courteous and friendly staff from the receptionist all the way to the installation crew. The work was pristine and flawless, work was done by the time committed, and my instructions were followed to a T. I highly recommend this company over the excessively promoted windshield company on tv. Great job!

As my husband was driving on the highway, he heard a ‘bang’ and the rear power window on the driver’s side of our CrV ‘blew out’ and disintegrated. Many scenarios have played in my mind - none of them good - but thankfully he made it home safely. He had already gotten one quote before I arrived home, but our insurance company recommended Mike’s. I called the local Sarasota location, and Scott took my call. He was so friendly, helpful, and professional - and got us scheduled the next morning for replacement - between 9 & 12 - the day before Christmas Eve! (OH - and his quote was less than our first quote!) I mentioned that if there was any way they could come between 9 & 10 am it would help my schedule. Scott said he couldn’t promise, but he’d note my request. Fair enough. 😊 A little after 10 am this morning, I received a call from Ruis - apologizing for being late/unable to make it between 9&10, but saying he’d arrive within the hour - which he did. (I was promised between 9 & noon, so he was definitely not late!) I don’t know about your experiences but for a number of years now, it has been rare to never that I’ve received a call from a repair or service person to inform me of their arrival time or update me in any way! Some have arrived hours after their scheduled time, others haven’t shown at all. Ruis was friendly, informative, professional, and thorough. When the job was completed he explained what he’d done, tested the window, and VACUUMED the glass off the seat and floor of my car - a job I was dreading!!! If you need any auto window work done, I highly recommend Mike’s Auto Glass - especially the Sarasota location. They are #1 in my book!PositivePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, ValueServicesAuto side window replacement

I found this business after my car was the subject of a break-in in Miami. They watched as my friend put her purse in a hoodie and placed it under my seat after we parked, then went after my car while we went into a preserve for 10 minutes looking for a plant. Imagine our dismay upon returning... My insurance doesn't cover anything under $1000 so that was useless, and the company they used wanted over $500 for my front right window to be replaced. I said not today, queens, and called up Mike's Auto Glass. They quoted me less than half of my other quote, and told me they'd drive to me in Naples. What!? Absolutely. And they did it a few days later. They called before arriving, arrived early on in the time frame they gave, and were done in 30 minutes. Super professional and even answered a few curious questions I had about different types of car windows. They ran my card right then and there and left my car looking and smelling spectacular. I cannot recommend this place enough. Just as a side note, I did vacuum my car pretty well before the replacement and recommend this if you utilize their services. It saves them time and effort, and it saves you having to sit in glass for a few days while you wait. I obviously couldn't have my friend sit on broken glass in my car as we drove back, so it was not an option for me. They will vacuum glass up, but I think kindness goes both ways. They also recommended Beverly Hills Tinting in Fort Myers and they did an excellent job tinting my windows to try and prevent this in the future. I'm stunned and pleased.PositivePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, ValueServicesAuto side window replacement

I wanted to take the time to thank Logan and Heather for taking care of me. I was referred to go to Mike’s Auto glass by a complete stranger who saw the crack that started to spread on my wife windshield. I called and set an appointment. I thought my appointment was for 8:30am, but it was actually for 3:30pm. One of my biggest pet peeves is being late. So I made sure to get there on time. When I got there Heather told me that my appointment was for 3:30. I was a little frustrated at the fact that I heard the time wrong. But thanks to Heather and her professionalism 🙂. At the time there were no tech’s available. Heather said that she would give one of the technicians (Logan) a call. She did and said that Logan said he was coming from the airport and would be there in about 10min. To my surprise Logan pulled up in exactly 10min. That really meant a lot to me. Log story short they Fixed my wife’s windshield and I was pleased with there work. Of course I hope to never have to deal with any more cracked windshield’s, but if I do. I would not hesitate to go back to Mike’s Auto glass. Thanks again Heather and Logan.

The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They quoted me for over $500 and asked if I had comprehensive coverage. I answered I didn’t know, so they got my insurance on a 3-way call and they let me know I did not have comprehensive coverage. The insurance company on the 3-way call said they had a local shop that would do it for $300 and we were in the process of setting up an appointment through SafeLite. The lady who works for Mikes Auto Glass said something in the background along the lines of “He is setting up an appointment elsewhere…!!” and hung up the phone which resulted in me wasting 20 minutes talking to my insurance company. Hanging up ended the 3-way call and everybody involved. I will be taking my business elsewhere, because if the company doesn’t treat everybody like a potential customer, they are not worth dealing with. Just so everybody knows if you do NOT have comprehensive coverage on your auto insurance, GO TO SAFELITE. SAFELITE IS ABOUT 40% CHEAPER AND THEY COME TO YOU.

I’ve dealt with this company three times now so I have a good sample size for my review. The first service we got, it was a man who scheduled the glass appointment over the phone. Showed up to the appointment like normal, and was told that no one was available to work on the car because it was supposed to be a *mobile* service, where they come to you. Of course, he didn’t mention this extremely important detail over the phone, so it was time wasted. Second service went well. Third time, a man booked it over the phone again. Showed up like normal, confirmed twice the day, time AND it being an in-person service, only to find out that no one was there to work on the vehicle and that it was booked for another day, which it wasn’t. If you get a man on the phone handling your booking, hang up immediately. Only ask to book with one the girls who seem to have a grasp of things. You will save yourself so much time.

The most frustrating experience I’ve had with changing a windshield. Mid November they changed out the first windshield. Put blue tape on the top of both sides, took the tape off and the molding was broken on both side at the top. I could hear air coming through the windshield. They came back out, ordered me a new molding (aftermarket) put that one on and it blew off in seconds. Called them back again and they installed a new windshield and new top molding. The tech left, I went out to check it and the top of my truck was missing paint along the top where the original broken molding was. 3 months later, I still have missing paint and no resolve. 2 techs, 2 windshields and both techs left knowing the first molding was broken and the second had to have seen the paint missing from the broken molding. Promises of fixing the paint and still no resolve.

I’d like to share my recent experience with windshield replacement on my car. It was complicated since the car was badged as a Buick allure but it was really a Buick lacrosse since that model was changed over mid year. The guys took all our details, ordered the windshield and promptly arrived after a long drive to install the windshield the next day. It was the Wrong windshield through no fault of theirs! They reordered the next day and arrived again for the install. Did an excellent job. Even better they stayed with their original quote even though the second windshield was more money. They spent allot of time on this and we could not have been happier with the service. Thanks again mikes auto glass for doing an exceptional job! Henry gallant

Before I called this location, I had previously gotten canceled by another window repair shop twice when I was urgently trying to fix my window. I called Mike’s Auto Glass, they quoted me $550 to repair ONE front windshield and then my insurance covered most of it and I only had to pay a $50 fee. They came to my home, and I believe his name was Chris if not.. I am sorry but whoever it was did a WONDERFUL job and finished everything in less than an hour. Very nice guy, very impressive work, if I ever have window or windshield problems ill definitely be coming back. Thank you so much!!! Please use Mike’s Auto Glass, they are an amazing company.
