TLDR: Don't go to DMG if you need Solextra glass replaced. I had originally gone to DMG to have my knicked up windshield replaced. I made an appointment and they did the install in about 3 hours. What I immediately noticed about the windshield was the incredibly loud wind noise and that it did not match the other glass in my car. I drive a 2005 Mercedes E-class, and the car's glass has a slightly blue-ish hue to it. Turns out the type of glass is 'Solextra'. The windshield that was installed by DMG was some cheapo aftermarket thing. I contacted them in regards to having my windshield replaced with the proper Solextra glass to match and said I wouldn't mind paying whatever it took to make it happen. DMG said they'd be happy to replace it and waive the labor, so I made another appointment and dropped the car off for a few hours only to be told that the windshield they obtained had scratches and they would have to get another one. Okay, that's fine, I'm pretty understanding. Eventually, they get a replacement, and I go a third time. An hour of waiting and a manager comes to get me to make sure the windshield they are installing is correct. We walk into the shop and the aftermarket one is off the car, and the new one waiting to be installed. It was not the Solextra glass. The manager mentioned that they ordered the windshield through Mercedes by the VIN# and this is what showed up. He also mentioned that they don't make Solextra any more, and this is the best I could get. So with about five techs standing around my car waiting to see if I would approve, I regrettably said no - it has to be Solextra... I could feel the pained sighs coming from the techs. I walked with the manager back to the waiting room to wait for them to put it back together. Then I was sent on my way; mentioning that they'd try to track down a Solextra windshield for me. The day after that I noticed a number of scuffs and scratches on the roof my car that weren't there before, and a large scratch near the trunk. I don't know if it was DMG for sure, and there's no way to prove it. I told DMG to forget the Solextra. I am not going back, ever. I'm stuck with a deafeningly loud windshield, lost time, and a few scuffs. I deeply regret going to DMG.

After my rear view mirror literally fell off, I followed the recommended process and brought my car to Don's Mobile Glass. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory, and I believe it's crucial to share the details for improvement: Initial Repair (1): The rear view mirror was fixed, but shortly after picking up my car, system errors emerged, indicating an incomplete repair. I bring it back, same day. Second Visit (2): Upon returning to address the errors, I was told that the system needed calibration. While it was rectified, I found it concerning that such a critical step was overlooked. Third Visit (3): Less than a week later, the same issue recurred. The mirror falls off, but this time is promptly replaced, but the repeated system errors emerged raising questions about the thoroughness of the repairs. Fourth Visit (4): During the fourth visit, it was revealed that the system wasn't calibrated properly, yet the car is provided to me as though completed. This recurring oversight led to unnecessary inconvenience and the possibility of additional charges. I am disappointed not only by the technical issues but also by the lack of customer service and the need for multiple visits to address the same problem. I have filed a complaint with the state to address these concerns. I believe it is essential to share this feedback for the sake of improvement and to prevent others from encountering similar challenges. I hope necessary steps will be taken to rectify these issues and enhance the overall service quality.

Would like to share my experience with this place. I went here after being told by the dealerships to come to get one of my rear window defrost coil cords that were detached put back on. When I got there to talk to someone, a service tech assisted me and came outside to look at my vehicle, he then tell me that they can’t do it because they can’t warrant it and the only thing I they could do for me is to get a new glass that is going to cost me almost $600. Now you telling me that you are wanting me to replace my whole rear window glass just because of one cord that is detached from it when there is nothing wrong with the window itself? If I would have done that, they would have took that rear window from my truck, fix it up and sell it to another vehicle and take me for granted over one cord. I feel that as a good efficient service, if you can do the work in which you are an auto glass company so I am pretty sure you can, to at least help me on that part but instead turn me away because the work isn’t warranted. I do not recommend this company as it seems they are out to get you more than help you.

Recently had Don's Mobile Glass install glass for a custom shower at our home. Although I am satisfied with the finished product I am extremely disappointed with the process. Due to a recent holiday and family coming from out of town we had a very tight time to complete the work. I got quotes from 3 local custom glass companies and Don's Mobile Glass was double the othe 2 companies for an expedited install but promised that they could do the job within our time frame! The glass when it came out was cut wrong! With only a couple of days before all our family arrived they again promised that they would make the glass company cut another piece and complete the install before we had a full house, they didnt! They showed up a week later the day before all our guests were leaving and with the exception of an apologetic installer we never heard from the management, was offered any compensation or even an explanation of what happened!! As a contractor myself this is unacceptable and I will NEVER use or refer Don's Mobile Glass ever again!!

Excellent and proffessional. You can tell these people are well trained and take pride in thier work. I brought in a pair of wood stove doors to have the glass replaced. The young lady that waited on me didn't bat an eye. She got out a tape measure, took down the measuments and had a quote for me in less than 5 minutes. Then she put on a pair of gloves and unloaded the other door for me. (She even made an excellent effort to pronounce my last name correctly! Which is also impressive.)The young lady told me they would have my doors ready by the next day. In less than 24 hours I get a call that my doors were ready for pick up. A different young lady waited on me , but with the same proffesionalism and efficiency. She and the glazier carried the doors to my vechicle. The doors had been cleaned and packaged as if new! You could see the glazier took pride in his work. A well trained staff, proffessional workmanship all done in a more than timely manner. This is how businesses should all be ran. I highly recommend Don's Moble Glass!

Had my windshield replaced today thought everything was good went back out to the car to put the receipt in my glove compartment in my book with all the cars info registration,insurance cards all warranty info. And low a behold it’s missing so I called they said the technician said the glove compartment was opened he closed it . Well I unlocked an opened the car for him an opened the doors it was not open so not only are there technicians liars they are thief’s as well . The manager came out looked through my car like I’m lying andthat I left my car unlocked but I’m sorry if my car was unlocked my car would have been ransacked . There are tvs an all kinds of things in my car so if I left it unlocked my car info would not be the only thing missing period . If you use dons mobile make sure you empty out your car before of anything of value and lock up you glove compartment.

Poor service. I made a reservation to have my windshield replaced. I scheduled for a Saturday morning appointment as I was coming from out of town. Confirmed my reservation the day before. My wife and I drove to Modesto in two cars so we could get some errands done while my windshield was being replaced. Checked in before my scheduled appointment at 10am and advised them I would be dropping the car and coming back to pick it up when it was ready. Three hours later I still hadn't heard from them. Came back and they had not even started on my car. I asked for my keys and wasn't even given a simple apology. Maybe they've grown too big and lost their service touch. First of I called at 8:15 in the morning hoping to be able to get them over in the next day or two to fix a cracked window for our home showing this weekend. They informed me that they would be able to get me in that same day and would call when someone was available. Not even an hour later they called and they were at the house fixing the window. Amazing! The next day there was a slight issue that normally wouldn't have been a big deal that we could have figured out but since we were running around trying to take care of so many little things we just called and asked if they could come back and take care of it. They were super understanding, came right away and totally fixed the issue. It's awesome to work with a company that stands by their work. Thanks, Robert and Curtis!

Called for a quote on a broken front yard window. The service tech arrived and said he would give us a quote later, that it would come from the office staff via email. Had to call the next day and still no quote. Once the quote came in it was 4 days later. Now that the deposit was paid they have not scheduled the work. It has been over a week with a broken front yard window and still no word from the office. As a business owner myself i see this service as unacceptable. The smaller window companies are much better at customer satisfaction and we will most likely be pursuing other options for our window needs in the future.

I had a crack in my windshield and I foolishly tried to get it replaced at another place. That other place couldn't even give me an appointment for almost two weeks. Then, the day of of the appointment, they cancelled the appointment! So I called Don's Mobile Glass, and they got me all fixed up in less than three days, even though they had to order out to get my car's specific windshield. They were very honest with me about what needed to be done and how long it would take.
