I recently had a windshield replacement experience with Safelite, and I must say it was a thoroughly disappointing and frustrating ordeal. My initial appointment was scheduled for a 9:30 am drop-off at their location, and they didn't offer any option for a home replacement, which was extremely inconvenient. To make matters worse, the day before the scheduled appointment, they canceled it, claiming that I didn't answer their phone call to confirm, conveniently overlooking the fact that I was working at the time. When I called to reschedule the canceled appointment, they cited some obscure policy that supposedly justified their last-minute cancellations. Oddly enough, this policy was nowhere to be found in their confirmation email. It was irritating to rearrange my plans only to have the appointment randomly canceled without any prior warning mentioned in their communications. The confusion continued when they finally attended to my car. Despite having proof in my confirmation email that the appointment was for a 9:30 am drop-off, they insisted that it was scheduled for 2:00 pm. This discrepancy caused unnecessary delays and added to the overall frustration of the experience. To top it all off, it seems they installed the wrong windshield on my car. I specifically requested the same Audi windshield that came with my 2022 Q3 model. However, upon inspection, it's evident that they used a windshield that not only differs from my other windows but also lacks the UV protection I specifically asked for. Seeking a second opinion from Audi, they suggested that Safelite may have used an outdated model, further raising concerns about the competence and attention to detail of their service. Overall, my experience with Safelite was marred by poor communication, unexplained policy enforcement, scheduling inaccuracies, and a seemingly incorrect windshield replacement. The inconvenience, frustration, and doubt about the quality of their service make it difficult for me to recommend Safelite to others for their auto glass needs.

I have used Safelite 2x in the past with no issues. It was those interactions that made me agree to pay $867 to get my windshield replaced. I figured go with the group you know and be safe despite the cost. I got there early and made sure my car would would be ready to get back to work by 4pm for a meeting. An IMPORTANT mtg. About 30 min later the technician and mgr come to telling me the tech “accidentally” cut a metal pole on my car. I made sure “did you know this pole was there?” Yep. He did. He still cut it. But don’t worry we are taking it across the street and they will weld it you will have it welded not just glued. Okay. Fine. Will I still be able to get to my mtg at 4pm? I have to be back by then. Of course. No problem. 45-60 min later I ask is my car almost done. I’ve only got a half hour before I must leave. Oh well they still have the car. Let me go check. 15 min later the tech comes back and tells me the car place still has your car. That’s when I lost it. Told him he needed to get my car, make sure it’s fixed, bring it back and put the windshield in. And do it in 15 min. Because I have to get back for a meeting. I was met with “oh well I will see what we can do”. What they did was get my car back to me in another hour and 15 min. The result of this MASSIVE error … she gave me $109 off. When I called back to complain I was met with “well when you asked you got an answer, didn’t you?” STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Please go anywhere else.

Where to start… My main issue is with the booking system and receptionist. I had to wait a week to get an appointment for my passenger window after being broken into. During that time I’d say I received about 10 texts and emails saying my appointment was confirmed and to add windshield wipers etc but while I was at work Thursday I missed calls from the receptionist to confirm my appointment when I just received a email and text that morning saying my appointment is confirmed and because I didn’t answer my appointment was cancelled. Learning this at the end of my work day at 4 pm that I had to reschedule for the next day for the first appointment of the day and brought my car early and still waited 2 hours and was late for an appointment. The spam emails and texts are unnecessary if you’re just going to cancel appointments. I was in the waiting room and heard similar complaints about communication and service. The receptionist is unapologetic and down right rude when people realized they don’t have appointments or had to reschedule due to an error on your part and potentially have to wait longer for repairs. I would say her tone is sarcastic and unsympathetic. People are working are receiving spam calls emails and texts. You need to figure out a better confirmation system and put the receptionist in customer service training. The technicians were actually more kind. I made my appointment online again because she was unbearable to talk with and unhelpful.

Bad customer service I made an appointment online the lady at the front desk cancelled my appointment because she said she personally called my phone and left a message to confirm my appointment but I didn't answer my phone because i usually don't answer if it's a number I don't recognize but I check my voicemail my text messages and emails and couldn't find any notice about confirming my appointment I even go to the link that was sent to me via the Safelite website and it still shows my scheduled appointment for the sametime with no indication of the cancellation. Luckily they where kind enough to let me know when I got the there how nice. They where able to reschedule but instead of 430 $ it's now 480$ I bring up the price difference and the lady helping just don't care and dismisses me so I leave with my money it's only 50$ but it's the principal of the matter I will not be swindled hope this helps someone

Listen to the other 1 star reviews and DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! Wednesday, April 5: I request an appointment for the 12th. Wednesday, April 12: Safelite delivers the wrong part and reschedules me for the 19th. Wednesday, April 19: Safelite delivers the wrong part again and reschedules for the 27th. Wednesday, April 24: Safelite, without warning, cancels my appointment. I call the office directly and I'm told that they canceled because they still have to order the part and it will take an additional 10 days until they can schedule a new appointment. Given the lack of communication, poor customer service, and their difficulties in sourcing the correct parts, I'm never using this company again. Additionally, I'm contacting my local GEICO representative in order to see if they can be removed from the default option as a repair service.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Wow! Their service is terrible! They called me the same day of my appointment to reschedule due to rain. They could have called sooner to confirm whether the appointment could accommodate the weather or not. This alone inconvenienced my work schedule as I made specific accommodations around this appointment. Then, they rescheduled my appointment for an at-store appointment for a date I specifically stated I wasn’t available. They then rescheduled my appointment for an in-store visit (I had asked for an at home replacement) for a date we did not at all discuss. I’m an attorney and they interrupted my already stressful workday several times with their inability to handle a mere administrative matter; how am I supposed to believe in their competency to adequately change my windshield? Don’t go here, find somewhere that can handle the job without the headaches.

The business has good promotions, but there are some issues with communication in their customer service department. Although they do a great job overall, getting in touch with a live representative for emergency safelite autoglass services is challenging as everything is appointment-based. This can be inconvenient, especially in urgent situations such as when dealing with vandalism or damage to your vehicle late in the evening. Despite the efficient service provided, the inability to speak to a live person can be frustrating. Additionally, some of their pricing was found to be double the price compared to other options. However, the company excels in their work, as evidenced by their exceptional replacement and calibration of my cracked windshield. The quality of their glass cleaner is great, too. It seems everything is done by appointment only..

Scheduled an appointment for my Tesla windshield replacement. Confirmed my appointment 24hrs before, drove first thing in the morning and even had my pregnant wife follow to pick me up. When I arrived they didn’t even have the windshield on hand despite having my car details and confirming the appointment. Couldn’t provide an estimate on when they would receive the parts to reschedule a date. I just booked a service with Tesla directly. This was covered by insurance and the deductible is the same. Advise other Tesla owners to do the same. Easy drop off and scheduling with Tesla… and they will have the parts

The worst repair place I’ve ever been came with the tiny little crack to fix it instead of fixing. They broke the whole glass and they want me to buy a new one for $1300 not mention the scratch my car and on the end they lie to me, like the scratches were there they show me the picture of the scratches after I showed them The inspection of the car condition was done half an hour after according to the pictures, I was outside the whole time watching what they were doing and they’re very unprofessional looks like they tried to make more money on replacing the whole windows then fixing simple thing

Josue was a total lifesaver. After a frustrating break-in, he instantly put me at ease — no upselling, no nonsense. He explained the plan clearly (removing 99% of the broken glass and replacing the window) and got it done fast. His team even stayed an extra hour to make sure it was done right, but still charged exactly what was quoted — super affordable. The new window looks great and comes with a lifetime warranty. Honestly, Josue restored my faith in auto services in LA. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to repair a broken window or windshield!
