Zamex Auto Glass

Pros - Fast, friendly service and affordable prices. Cons - Functional NOT cosmetic repair quality — tint was not matched (I had a black tint, the new tint band on my windshield is blue), inside foam seal is torn up and visible, and a goopy black glue is bulging into the interior). I had another auto glass shop take a look at the repair job and they said the above issues were cosmetic, but the glass should not leak. I would rather pay more for functional and nice looking windshield replacement, but if you don’t care how it looks, Zamex is a good option. I called a bunch of auto glass shops in Santa Cruz and got quotes ranging from $250 to $400 for my 2008 Ford Escape windshield. A friend recommended Zamex, and they did the work for $200, plus they actually answered the phone, unlike most Santa Cruz locations I called.

I came in on a whim and they immediately got me in! They were amazing!! My truck is 22 years old so the frame was rusted real bad and they did an amazing bondo job to fix it and put in my new windshield! They were extremely kind, honest and upfront. I will tell everyone to come here! Other places quoted me 400 and up they did it all for 199
