Its a real shame when a great experience is ruined. I came here 8 months ago for a replacement quarter window. Owner was very flexible and accommodating, did the work quickly and returned my car to me faster than expected. A couple of days ago I discovered the window was leaking so I called up Star and they told me to stop by. After finding the source of the leak the owner says "no problem wait in the office ill have you outta here in 15 minutes". That's when I begin to worry. He goes onto peel back the headliner and caulk around the window from the inside. In the process he gets caulk all over the head liner and trim. He goes onto leak check his work and follows that up with more caulking. Then he starts to clean the headliner with god knows what and proclaims he's done and closes the trunk. I go to check his work and the headliner is completely soaked and it and the trim is covered in streaks of caulk. He acts completely dismissive and tells me its just the cleaner. I tell him to grab a flash light and look closer. Furthermore, as we are talking water continues running down the inside of the window. He gets flippant and walks away to talk to other customers. He tells me "come back whenever you want and leave the car so I can fix it". I ask him if he has to order a new rear window and he replies he "won't and will seal it from the inside". He refuses to talk and just ignores me at that point. I drive home with a car in worse condition than I brought it. The next day I show up to discuss the repairs, again he says to leave the car and he will fix it. I politely ask how and that's when he gets belligerent, angry and threatening. He goes onto berate me and what right I have to ask how he will do the work and that he has been doing this job for 40 years. He goes onto tell me that he seals windows from the inside all the time and I should go google it. I did, and I cant find any source that says thats normal. I ask him if a leaking house window should be sealed from the inside or outside, he tells me from the inside. Thats a lie, thats how you get mold and rot in your walls. The water has to be stopped on the outside. I walk outside with his co-worker because he wanted to see the issue and he goes onto tell me that "they seal windshields from the inside" and I explain that makes no sense and every video everywhere shows the work done from the outside. This is an obvious attempt to BS me. So now I have to deal with a comprehensive claim with my insurance to get my car fixed because the headliner is glued to the window and likely will be destroyed when taken down. I don't recommend this place anymore, but if you do come here make sure your insurance will guarantee the work(they might pay for it, but they wont always guarantee it) or else you'll be out of pocket when they botch it. Also, no face covering, no social distancing, nothing. I had my kids with me the first visit, him getting in their faces to offer them some key chains was nice, but not where there's a pandemic.

Amazing experience! I had a shattered drivers side view mirror. I had originally called Safelite to replace it and was told it would take over a week to order the mirror and would cost over $200 to replace. We called our local mechanic who told me to speak to Joe at Star Auto Glass. Within an hour of calling I was driving home with a brand new mirror and had saved nearly $200! I will definitely be referring anyone and everyone here for any auto glass repair needs. Fantastic work!!

HORRIBLE experience . Employee ( I believe it was owner) treated me with disrespect. Charged me $40 to replace ONE rear view side mirror . I told him , I received this service before and it was $15 just to replace the glass . He told me “ to go back where I came from”. I told him what he said wasn’t kind. He said “oh well”. This was a horrible experience I will never spend my money here or anywhere where the customers are spoke to like this.

Came for a windshield replacement on my BMW 3 series, hands down the best glass shop out in Long Island. Joe and his son are great to work with and are very professional and give very fair prices. More importantly Joe’s work and knowledge speaks for itself. Every time I have gone there they have welcomed me and have helped me greatly, will definitely come here again and I am glad I found them. It’s very rare nowadays to find a business and people who really go out of their way to help customers and more importantly are fair. Thanks Joe!
