UPDATE TO OWNER: The damage is 3 inches high and a inch and a half across not a large area to repair! The techs at my second review in GEORGETOWN on Saturday even stated the job was not satisfactory and thought that the spider cracks came from the pressure on the windshield during the process. But that is water under the bridge. I am still awaiting communication from Christian or Scott in regards to the matter. Terribly disappointed with the service received from a mobile tech at this franchise location. Safelite was contracted by my insurance to "repair" my windshield. I was given a window of 12pm to 5pm last Thursday and the technician did not arrive until almost 7pm. I contacted the dispatch facility and was advised that they were unable to reach the tech or the MOD at the store. I requested an appointment change to take my vehicle into a different store to be repaired and additionally requested to be contacted by thr regional manager or district manager. At approximately 645pm on the day of service the technician arrived at my home and I reluctantly allowed him to repair it. Photos are attached of the before and after. I was told the crack would likely still spread and that I would need a replacement, as the techician only filled the point of impact due to his lack of appropriate tools. So what was the purpose of touching my car from the beginning?!? Highly displeased with the service, I put in another call to dispatch who sent another email to the two individuals mentioned above. Almost a week later and I have yet to hear from either party. Do not take your vehicle to this location no matter how convenient!!!

Called and left ALL my info. Also stressed that it needed to be done as I have a trip coming up to please contact me.They said they would text and email me an estimate. Waited two days called them back only for a lady to tell me they dont do bus windshields! Strange! Probably the largest glass company in the country and they told me in the beginning oh yeah we can do that! And no call back no answer nothing. I had to call for them to me no. Not a good way to do business safelite!!! You just lost a $5k job.. no one wants to work now days it guess...so ill do it myself thanks for nothing safelite!

My wife recently had a very unpleasant experience with our local Safelite Office located at 4200 N Dupont Hwy Ste 6 in Dover, DE and would like to express our displeasure. My wife has a 2021 Ford Expedition Max and had a stone chip in the windshield. She called our local Safelite location to get a quote on a replacement windshield but was informed by the agent a windshield repair would take care of the issue. The windshield repair was completed, but 2 months later, the chip was visible again. My wife called the office and was told a replacement would be required since another repair could not be done. My wife feels that she was misinformed since she was prepared to replace the windshield on her initial contact with your office and was instructed by the experts to get the repair instead. The first replacement appointment was cancelled after the wrong windshield was ordered, but eventually the correct part arrived. Unfortunately, the final bill was $500.00 more than the initial estimate due to a "recalibration" of the windshield, which was not communicated to my wife at any point during this event. We are very upset that she has spent an additional $800.00 above the initial proposed price of the replacement windshield due to the unprofessionalism of this office. Customers should be given a full explanation of their bill in advance and advised correctly by those considered the experts. We will never use Safelite Glass again and will advise everyone we know to avoid your company as well.

I’ve spent the last THREE weeks attempting to actually talk o a “human” from the Dover Safelite to get a cracked windshield replaced. All you ever get is electronic voices telling to “use your smartphone for service”. Unbelievable. Never did figure out why THEY don’t know how to use “their smartphones” to actually communicate with the customer. The 5th phone call and numerous attempts through the myriad “phone tree,” I actually got to speak with a human representative from lord knows where. They state the original windshield was ordered incorrectly, and not an OEM replacement. The next message was via “the Dover office” that one they had was cracked. THEN a new appointment was selected…electronically WITHOUT my input and scheduled when I’m at work. I then began the process with 3 more calls to correct that error again, trying to speak with someone with a pulse. Finally set up an actual appointment, this time at my residence on the farm. They dispatched a truly lazy “technician” who arrived at my house 3:55 hours into the 4 hour window. I casually stated “everybody in society (especially his age group) has and lives on a cell phone; can you at least call and give the customer an actual time frame for service once you start the days work?” (We live about an hour from their facility). I offended the poor little guy I guess. He stated “I’m just a tech, you were given a 4 hour window what’s the problem?” His attitude was as if it was of zero concern for me or any customer; then stated, “I don’t have to take that attitude from you man” and left. WAY too funny and indicative reflecting his true work ethic and Safelite as an organization in one fell swoop! You just can’t get good help or service from Safelite. I called Caliber Collision Windshield division; spoke to an actual human; service was set up immediately with the RIGHT windshield! Absolutely Amazing! An actual representative handled the whole transaction, including a three-way call with USAA, my insurance provider. What a disturbing disaster setup Safelite has become. Use Caliber Collision, you will be so thankful you did!

Scheduled an appointment for multiple vehicle windshield repairs and was given a four hour repair window. An hour and 45 minutes after the window closed and a technician had not arrived or contacted me, I tried to contact Safelite, but it took another 15 minutes to finally get to a live person in customer service. They looked into the issue and finally someone called me back 10 minutes later. I was told that my appointment window was actually 8 hours and not 4 and that I should not have been given a four hour option. That seems like someone was just covering up mistakes. I was not given any real time frame and told to just wait and hope someone showed up.NegativeProfessionalism

My experience with Safelite Auto Glass was exceptional. From the moment I realized my windshield had a crack, I was dreading the hassle of getting it fixed. Thankfully, their website was intuitive and user-friendly, allowing me to quickly input my vehicle information and describe the damage. I was presented with convenient appointment times, including options that fit my busy schedule. I could choose between an in-shop visit or a mobile service, making the process even more convenient. Overall, Safelite has streamlined the process of auto glass repair, making it easy, convenient, and stress-free. I highly recommend their services.
