Got front windshield replaced, had after market tint on my existing windshield, waited 2 hours and tech did not replace tint. I informed Receptionist & she replied they were out of tint? Asked to speak w manager & she replied it wasn't on the work order? I commented I spoke with their scheduler the day before & stated I have tint! The manager said it will need to be approved by my Insurances & can get back in (another 2 hour wait) to get it done? I expressed my frustration, 1st, the tech & safelite should know they are required to replace the same, 2nd Receptionist lied they were out of tint, 3rd, manager did not accept the mistakes that were made & no consideration of my time to expect me to wait another 2 hours? Asked manager to have their regional manager to contact me, guess what, still no call from anyone??

I was extremely excited to get my windshield fixed 10/10/2023, And even more so when I went in to pick up my car. They were fast, friendly, and seemed professional. It seemed they did an amazing job! Unfortunately that was short lived. On the drive home I heard some rattling coming from what I thought to be my consul area so I thought nothing of it. I looked up at my mirror and noticed it was not flush with the rest of the car, also noticing my rear view camera no longer worked as it did when I dropped off the vehicle. I strictly park my car in reverse using my rear view camera, so this came as a shock to me when I observed a black screen with error lights. I took the vehicle back to be inspected by Safelite members as it was working properly before. Also mentioning the plastic covering wasn’t fully secured. They seemed to have fastened the plastic covering and told me my camera was on me and wasn’t working when the car was dropped off. I was told it’s now reading error codes. MIND you they refuse to work on a car with any dash lights on reading ERROR due to recalibration of the camera in the front window. So I thought that was funny, cool another bill from the dealership. As I drove to get my morning coffee this morning, the plastic covering fell completely off. I observed multiple pieces had been broken off. Mind you this is my first window replacement on my 2020 Jetta. So there’s no reason anything should be broken Now seeing where the rattling was coming from, there appeared to be some of the broken pieces GLUED TO THE PLASTIC AS IF nothing happened. Not to mention my Joker mirror decor is now missing foot, clearly he had two feet when the window was cracked?? This was a horrible experience for me and not yet over.NegativeQuality, Value

Now I realize why they have such a poor rating on Google. What a bad experience! Will never return to this location. Dropped our car off on 11/1 at 7:30 and was told that it would be done in a few hours and ended being the end of the day. We get a call at 4:46 saying that it’s ready. So when we picked it up it was not in the condition that we left it. First off the car was full of dust and the workers body marks across the hood and fenders. We found several scratches from that. Also the tint was not reinstalled nor was the dash cam. The dash cam was just tossed on the dash and we were told to come back in a few days to fix it, only because we had mentioned it. Just do it right the first time so we don’t have to waste each other’s time. We are very upset about this that we are going to have to file a claim to have our hood and fender repaired all for a dang windshield. I can’t believe how careless these people are. Update: The rear view mirror is not installed straight

I absolutely will not be going back to Safelite for service. My initial windshield replacement had to get redone because the seal was not seated properly and flapped all the way home. Then, when I went back for them to fix their mistake, they left huge scratches in the paint above the new warranty windshield. I did not notice until I got home as it was on the passenger side. I took pictures. It was absolutely not there before or after the initial windshield replacement as I had inspected it thoroughly do to the seal being poor on the first windshield. I’ll be going back tomorrow for clarification. Use a different glass company. They’re much too concerned with socializing and bumping jams than being an honest business. **Update to my terrible Safelite experience, I went back to ask them about the scratches they left and they lied to my face and showed me photos of the scratches, yet the photos conveniently did not have a time stamp. When I asked to view inspection photos from the first failed installation, there were none. He hovered around and only clicked two photos out of like ten right in front of me and said "Nope, doesn't look like there are any." Why photos taken this time and not last time? These scratches are clearly fresh. I suspect this business of covering for themselves by taking photos of damages they clearly caused and claim that it was already there. Be sure to hold them accountable. I'm female, I went in alone and they took advantage of me, my trust and LIED.- Update-the manager played phone tag with me to conveniently miss my calls and not call me back. Do NOT use Safeite.NegativeProfessionalism

I made an appointment to bring my vehicle to the location on Ina. My original windshield had a tint strip. I called the day before my appointment to request that the new windshield have that same tint strip. I was told it was noted and would not be a problem. The service was fast and my car was ready after only an hour. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was told that a defective piece of glass had been used, but it wasn’t noticed until after installation, so I’d have to return to have another new windshield installed. The glass is warped right in the center and distorts when looked through. Then I saw it! Paint or something had been scratched off the car and not only was the tint strip NOT on the glass, there was no way that warped glass was installed without being noticed! (See photos: black has been scratched off and silver is showing) When I pointed out the very noticeable scratches, I was told my previous windshield has been set up higher and it was already damaged but unnoticeable. They are going to warranty the windshield but I have to wait 4 days so the glue can dry completely. It is NOT convenient. They are going to warranty the work, and called to let me know they will tint the glass before installation and they were polite and professional. Unfortunately this experience was terrible! I have not yet had the replacement windshield installed but hopefully that experience will be better. I am still at a loss on the damage to the paint! Update: I returned to have the new windshield installed and after an hour of waiting, I was notified that the windshield never came. I’d have to pick up my vehicle and reschedule again. I was told I’d be contacted once the new glass had arrived and I could set the appointment then. Update: I waited over a week, when I finally called to inquire, I was told that someone called but my voicemail was full. Why didn’t they try calling me again or send an email or text? Had I not called, how long would they have waited? On my 3rd visit when the windshield was finally repaired it was great, the job was done quickly, tinted, they fixed the scratches and the manager put new wipers on for me for all the trouble. Worked out well in the end but I can’t say I’d recommend this place.

Didn't put on the tint that was asked if I wanted and I said yes. But still put it on the receipt for my insurance to pay for. And broke a plastic clip on the trim. On your reply, you stated you guys don't offer tinting. So you guys just charge for it for no reason... Changed to 1 star cause I can't go lower for that response.
