Multiple painful errors. I wasn't planning to write a bad review until I finished repairing mistakes Safelite had made. I had my windshield on a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe replaced around March 20th. Safelite messed up quite a few things for me. 1) The Safelite technician left pinkish purplish marks on our beige suede A pillars near the windshield. I complained over the phone, sent pictures via email and received no response. That was disappointing. 2) In May my passenger windshield wiper stopped working. It was just dead. Drivers side worked fine. I assumed Hyundai had failed me. After reviewing the repair manual I realized that the WIPERS ARE REMOVED DURING WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT!!! I decided to remove the protective cowl (that covers the windshield wiper motors and bottom of the windshield) and removed the wipers. The passenger wiper bolt had not been tightened correctly by the technician. Luckily it was easy to "do it correctly" 3) When I reviewed the repair manual I saw that there were 4 fasteners to hold the cowl in. Safelite, after their windshield repair, carelessly left out the two center fasteners. Brand new vehicles shouldn't be missing any fasters! I was pretty disappointed. I have attached pictures if there is any doubt about their quality.

Didn't put on the tint that was asked if I wanted and I said yes. But still put it on the receipt for my insurance to pay for. And broke a plastic clip on the trim. On your reply, you stated you guys don't offer tinting. So you guys just charge for it for no reason... Changed to 1 star cause I can't go lower for that response. Now I realize why they have such a poor rating on Google. What a bad experience! Will never return to this location. Dropped our car off on 11/1 at 7:30 and was told that it would be done in a few hours and ended being the end of the day. We get a call at 4:46 saying that it’s ready. So when we picked it up it was not in the condition that we left it. First off the car was full of dust and the workers body marks across the hood and fenders. We found several scratches from that. Also the tint was not reinstalled nor was the dash cam. The dash cam was just tossed on the dash and we were told to come back in a few days to fix it, only because we had mentioned it. Just do it right the first time so we don’t have to waste each other’s time. We are very upset about this that we are going to have to file a claim to have our hood and fender repaired all for a dang windshield. I can’t believe how careless these people are. Update: The rear view mirror is not installed straight

I brought my brand-new 2025 Civic Type R to Safelite for a windshield replacement. The car had only 250 miles on it and had already been professionally paint-corrected and ceramic coated—an expensive process done to protect the finish. I chose Safelite because of their national reputation and assumed they would take proper care of the vehicle. That was a mistake. As soon as I got home, I noticed scratches in the clear coat above the windshield, on the hood, along the side of the windshield, and in other odd places that should have never been touched. I even left a note inside the car specifically asking them to be careful and avoid any damage—but it clearly wasn’t respected. I have video and pictures of before I took it in, where the car was flawless. They also took it upon themselves to attempt to reapply the tint without my permission, and they botched it. I had to pay out-of-pocket to have it corrected by the professional detailing shop who did the original work. (Extra money to remove the Walmart brand tint and glue they used). Now, they’re refusing to cover all of the damage, claiming the estimate for repairs is "too high." For a company of their size and reputation, this is incredibly disappointing. All I wanted was a proper windshield replacement. Instead, I’ve been left with scratched paint, messed-up tint, added costs, and a huge headache. I strongly caution anyone who values their vehicle—especially higher-end or newly delivered cars—from trusting this company with their car. Safelite, do the right thing and pay me for the damages.

I made an appointment to bring my vehicle to the location on Ina. My original windshield had a tint strip. I called the day before my appointment to request that the new windshield have that same tint strip. I was told it was noted and would not be a problem. The service was fast and my car was ready after only an hour. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was told that a defective piece of glass had been used, but it wasn’t noticed until after installation, so I’d have to return to have another new windshield installed. The glass is warped right in the center and distorts when looked through. Then I saw it! Paint or something had been scratched off the car and not only was the tint strip NOT on the glass, there was no way that warped glass was installed without being noticed! (See photos: black has been scratched off and silver is showing) When I pointed out the very noticeable scratches, I was told my previous windshield has been set up higher and it was already damaged but unnoticeable. They are going to warranty the windshield but I have to wait 4 days so the glue can dry completely. It is NOT convenient. They are going to warranty the work, and called to let me know they will tint the glass before installation and they were polite and professional. Unfortunately this experience was terrible! I have not yet had the replacement windshield installed but hopefully that experience will be better. I am still at a loss on the damage to the paint! Update: I returned to have the new windshield installed and after an hour of waiting, I was notified that the windshield never came. I’d have to pick up my vehicle and reschedule again. I was told I’d be contacted once the new glass had arrived and I could set the appointment then. Update: I waited over a week, when I finally called to inquire, I was told that someone called but my voicemail was full. Why didn’t they try calling me again or send an email or text? Had I not called, how long would they have waited? On my 3rd visit when the windshield was finally repaired it was great, the job was done quickly, tinted, they fixed the scratches and the manager put new wipers on for me for all the trouble. Worked out well in the end but I can’t say I’d recommend this place.

Very misleading in pricing. Did an online price quote. After entering my vehicle information it gave me 3 price options. I chose the middle option for 479.00 and after I chose it it added all the fees and it was about 573.00. That was ok, but after I scheduled the appointment and confirmed, it now said it would be over 909.00 due to recalibration. It should have given that price up front and BEFORE confirming the appointment. The make and model was already given in the initial price quote so why wait until after you schedule the appointment to now add that to your text confirmation. VERY DECEIVEING!
