A month ago I sourced a quote for a full windshield replacement with these guys. Got an email confirmation for $350 total with tax. That sounded great to me so, I setup an appointment and showed up that Saturday. Dropped my car off, gave my card info and was told to come back in a few hours - ok no big deal. Well, half an hour later I get a phone call from the lady at the front desk who informed me that the windshield part was in fact, still not in stock and how would I like to reschedule my appointment for Monday afternoon? After some back and forth I instead reschedule for a few weeks out to make sure they had the part. Fast forward today, I show up again to drop my car off. I'm handed a work authorization form which lists a total of SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS and change. The very polite lady explains how that price doesn't matter and they will adjust my total after the service is performed.... naturally I refused to sign it. I had to EXPLAIN TO HER that it was a legally binding document. At this point major alarm bells are going off for me, but I figure I'd give them one more chance so I ask for a form with the original price on it. She finally agrees and after a few minutes provides another authorization form. This time the total is $394 with tax. I pull up the email confirmation from Safelite and ask her again, why is there a discrepancy? She explains how that quote is missing their "standard $40 disposal fee" which "is always applied to all services". At this point I've had my fill of being jerked around so I cancel my appointment. TL;DR these guys tried to bait and switch me twice on the cost of my appointment, AND didn't bother telling me the part was out of stock until after I had dropped off my vehicle and gotten a ride home. Would give 0 stars if I could :)

Two appointments, no repaired glass. Nearly 5 hours of my time wasted. I scheduled with them through my insurance the day after my car was broken into. They even called me before my appointment to confirm everything. I then show up for my appointment and after 2 hours of waiting, I was told the glass they had didn't actually fit for some reason and that they couldn't reschedule me for another week and a half. No one seemed to have an answer as to why the glass they had didn't work after confirming everything before my appointment. I called Safelite customer support who contacted the store manager to see if they could reschedule me sooner. They were miraculously able to get me in almost a week sooner than they told me at the shop. Great! I then arrived for this second appointment after being assured that they would have the correct glass this time. This time I waited 2.5 hours only for them to tell me AGAIN that they did not have the correct glass. Still no answers as to why this happened, only told that they would call me at a later date to reschedule. All in all, a huge waste of time and gas money driving back and forth to this shop. I understand that mistakes happen but the same thing happening twice in a row with no explanation? Absolutely disappointing and will not be rescheduling with Safelite. I was given no reason to trust that they won't simply make the same mistake again. Made a stressful, inconvenient situation even more stressful and inconvenient. Would not recommend.

I noticed a small crack in my windshield & called my insurance carrier GEICO & within 10 minutes had a claim set up & appointment made with Safelite AutoGlass to come to my house to repair the crack. My appointment was set for 12pm-5pm but the morning of my appointment the Tech David Lee contacted me & said he was in the neighborhood completing another customer’s job & would it be possible if he could come when he was done. I said absolutely. I was so impressed with that. David came, explained everything that would be done, any complications that could arise but probably would not & roughly how long it would take. David did his magic, repaired the crack, my windshield looks amazing & I was so happy I did not have to replace the whole windshield. Safelite was amazing from the set up of appointment, receiving a video via text what would be done & the amazing Tech David that repaired my windshield. Thank you Safelite. I will surely recommend Safelite & will use them again if need be.

I will start by stating that I have had excellent experiences with Safelite in the past...........this however was not one of those. It actually involved two separate but equally disatisfying experiences. I initially came in with a small chip in my windshield (1/4 inch at most). Given that it was in a difficult location (very bottom of the windshield, in the center of the windshield) I was informed that there was a possibility that the repair process could increase the size of the chip and I may need to replace the entire windshield. That is exactly what happened (after "treatment" I now had a 6 inch crack!!) so I was prepared for it.......I was not prepared for the technician to tell me that he was sorry because he was only a trainee and usually only experienced techs worked on difficult areas but no one was available. In effect, there may have been a possibility that my windshield didn't crack and I would just live with chip for a year or so until it was replaced. The second issue dealt with the scheduling of my windshield replacement (which I still was coming to terms with after just having a small chip become a giant crack). I was told the entire process including recalibration would take 3 or maybe 4 hours. As a result, I scheduled an online appointment for 1PM which would mean my repair should be done by 4PM or maybe 5PM....instead I received a phone call from Safelite at 2PM telling me that they couldn't do the recalibration until the next day because there was probably going to be too much traffic to do it late in the day on the day of my appointment. I needed to come back the next day for the recalibration. So why even schedule appointments for the afternoon???? I would have gladly taken a morning appointment rather that come back in for a second appointment.

I'd recommend using Safelite if you like your time wasted and like to be treated poorly. If that is you, this place is for you! Made an appointment for a windshield replacement February 21st and was asked to drop off my car before 9:30am and my windshield would be replaced and windshield cameras calibrated to factory specification same day. I dropped it off at 8am. Was told this would all be taken care of same day and they would call me before the end of the day to pick back up. My vehicle is a is a model Y Tesla so there are internal and external cameras I can access from my phone wherever I am to see when doors are unlocked, when people approach the vehicle, etc. I found it odd that by late morning my car had not been accessed by the shop or even approached any anyone associated with the shop. However, continued to wait and didn't do anything at that point. I did get two phone calls during the day letting me know they are running behind and haven't started working on my vehicle yet but they let me know (without me even asking) that everything with my vehicle will still be completed same day and not to worry. I appreciated them calling and giving me updates to their delays. I knew they closed at 5pm so was getting really concerned that by 4:30pm my car still had not even been pulled into the garage to get worked on. I called and they said yeah they are still behind but will stay late guaranteeing it will all get done today, just late. By the time 6:30pm rolled around and still no activity, I got someone to drive me down to the shop and I would wait there for them to finish. While driving down there, I get a call telling me they need to keep the car for another day because since it was getting dark, even if they change the windshield, they can't do the calibration at night because it'll be too dark. I asked them reasonable questions like "If you can't calibrate at night and you know you have to calibrate, why did you wait until after dark to try working on my windshield?" and "Why would you continue to tell me through out the day that regardless of them running behind, everything will still be completed?". Well, the person who I spoke with in the evening didn't take any responsibility for what I was told because that person had already gone home for the day. There was no apology, no sympathy, or anything resembling they cared they couldn't deliver and I would be inconvenienced as a customer. I finally told the person not to work on the car, leave my key card in the vehicle and I'm on my way to pick up my vehicle. I got no response from them except the sound of being hung up on. The next day, I received a voicemail from their office asking me how come I didn't bring in my car yesterday for my appointment and did I want to reschedule. They were oblivious that I did bring in my car and they just never worked on it. I think it's less of a problem working in the shop but rather put the blame on the incompetence of the person working the front desk. I with I remembered what her name was as I would put it in this review. My impression when I interacted with her in person when dropping off my car was that she was disinterested in customer service and barely even looked up or greeted me when I came in. I eventually took my vehicle to All Star Auto Glass and they took care of me with no glitches. Avoid the headache and start with All Star instead!

This location looks like it takes on more work than it can handle. I dropped the car off at 9:30AM and was scheduled to do a 5PM pickup. I got a text at 2:22 saying their techs may be delayed and that I'd get a text after work has started. I sent a couple texts asking for an update and there was no response. I showed up at 5:05PM and my car was still where I had parked it in the AM. Meanwhile I'm still in the Safelite office at 7PM, missing my kid's birthday and writing a review using their mediocre WiFi. My car is somehere getting fixed and I can't wait to get a useless non-apology apology from the owner for my experience as well as another useless thanks for sharing my experience. Hopefully the replacement goes well and I never have to come back to this location again. I'll have to say one thing though - if you love waiting and wasting your time, this is the place that'll deliver it in spades. The worst DMV licensing locations I've been to, pale in comparison to my wait experience here. Had someone responded to my texts with an ETA or an update, I'd at least be at work in a more comfortable chair. I'm sure the techs here are wonderful people and are taking on as much as they do at the direction of their owner. Do better, location owner. Update: Reducing to one star. The tech was quite apologetic and nice as he handed over my car. The poor techs looked overworked and were coming off a 12 hour day. It looks like the location is short staffed but the workload being taken on, if anything, is ill advised even for regular staffing. Long story short, I have to come back for recalibration to be completed and that’s another 2-3 hours of my time, including commute time. The owner of this location really needs to do better and treat their employees and customers with respect. But they won’t. The customer funnel, their apparent monopoly and their tie-in with insurance means they will freely waste their customer time and burn out their employees. I don’t remember their Seattle location being this awful.
