Safelite's mobile service was a disaster. Technician Jose P. came to fix three rock chips I was concerned about. He assured me two were already repaired, so we focused on the single remaining chip I wanted fixed. However, Jose then decided to work on a different chip I wasn't interested in. Twenty minutes into his work, he called to say he'd caused a 16-inch crack. Only then did he reveal that the main chip I'd originally wanted repaired was also previously fixed—information crucial before any work began! (I've only owned the car six months, so the prior owner must have had this done.) Despite Jose taking responsibility, Safelite offers no warranty for technician error. My $70 repair spiraled into a $1200 windshield replacement I'm now stuck with. I was never warned of this risk; had I been, I'd have canceled immediately. Safelite in Bountiful needs to investigate and reimburse me fully, replacing my windshield at your expense. **Update** Bountiful Safelite management worked with me to replace the windshield, and I was found not at fault.

You can spend $185 for fixing one rock chip smaller than the width of a quarter - or you can call High Desert Rock Chip Repair, where Brandon will fix it for $50. Safelite made it extremely hard to call the the actual location, I never got through to someone in Bountiful, you can make an appointment online, and they quote you at $185! I called customer service and they confirmed that’s how much one chip usually costs to fix. And remember, rock chip fixes don’t get rid of the chip entirely, it just seals it. $185 is not appropriate. I’m glad I searched around on Google Maps, Brandon was willing to meet me and fixed my chip in 10 minutes. Safelite, you guys advertise so much, I was excited to try you, but with pricing like that, there’s NO way.

Absolute horrible customer service, my husband took the day off work so we could drop my vehicle off, my father extended a visit so he could watch our children, we completely rearranged our day to drop my car off - we walk in and the lady acts dumbfounded I’m there. I spoke to her on the phone Friday, today is Monday and she confirmed my 10am appointment. She says, “I have you September 3rd” which isn’t a Monday nor is the date we confirmed. She acts like she’s doing me a favor to try and get me in sooner, but my appointment was for today. My windshield is destroyed and I can’t believe they not only spoke to me on the phone but also confirmed the appointment with my insurance. Terrible customer service. I will absolutely not be back. They can eat the cost of my $1200 windshield that they were capable of ordering but incapable of entering a confirmed date into the computer for.

Never again. Another slow windshield experience. Why did it take 20 minutes for your guys to unpack and determine your new windshield was “crooked and couldn’t be used”? Scheduled first thing in the morning, empty shop, you put 2 guys on my car instead of one and then call 20 minutes later to say you can’t install the windshield? Nobody inspected the windshield when delivered the night before? 2 guys waiting for my appointment to begin couldn’t inspect it before taking my car keys? Say you’ll order another windshield, inspect it, then call me to reschedule. But you never called. Instead you book me for a 4am appointment on Saturday morning? Also your guy parked the car outside, windows down, car unlocked with expensive items in plain sight on the front seat. All bays in the shop empty, no other cars being worked on, and you leave the car outside unlocked, windows down. Excellent customer service and communication. This Safelight location isn’t up to par. Back to the Windshield Doctor I go for our cars.

Went in for a simple rock chip repair, found out after the fact they are not qualified to repair that chip manually. They use a machine to fix the repair, which that machine etched to deep into my chip and in the wrong spot…which caused my whole windshield to crack. Now their upstanding customer service expects me to pay for my $1500 windshield bc they can’t fix a small rock chip. So what do you do in my shoes? Call their customer service, right?? Supervisors wouldn’t speak to me, got transferred and hung up on three times. Awesome customer service! These big corporations just expect us to get tired of their lack of caring and go away bc they don’t stand behind their work and make it impossible to talk to any decision makers who can actually help…otherwise you’re dealing with a low level stand behind the company line policy employee who says “I understand you’re frustrated”. This company needs more problem solvers

I just wanted to take a minute to recognize Nick from Safelite for the incredible job he did on my repair. You can tell right away that he knows what he’s doing — his 15 years of experience really showed in the way he handled everything with care and confidence. Nick was professional, friendly, and thorough from start to finish. He took the time to do the job right, and you could see he paid attention to every detail. What really impressed me was how clean and tidy everything was when he finished — no mess, no leftover materials, just a job well done. To whoever in management sees this: Nick is exactly the kind of person you want representing your company. His level of service and professionalism deserves to be recognized. Based on my experience, he’s more than ready move up within the company which he should already be there based on his experience and exceptional services. Thanks again, Nick — truly top-notch work.ServicesAuto windshield repairPrice assessmentGreat price
