On July 19 of 2024, my front windshield was smashed after an accident and needed a full windshield replacement. Safelite came out to the place where my car was towed on July 22 of 2024 and completed a full windshield replacement however when I got my car back, my front dash and steering wheel was all scratched up, the rearview mirror was not attached (the guy claimed be was not strong enough to put it back on), and there were shards of glass in my vents that came flying out at you when you turned on the AC or heat. I have a picture from before the windshield was replaced where you can clearly see the dash was not scratched up and after that shows the damage done to the vehicle. Safelite was made aware of the damage back in July and had me come back to the store in July to start the process of filing a complaint and told me the employee who replaced my windshield was fired. A store employee took pictures of my vehicle and claimed they were going to be sent to the district manager. Safelite has been contacted by me, my mom, and my boyfriend’s mom numerous times from July 2024 until now and we have heard nothing back about how they plan on fixing the damage caused to vehicle.

Had a small chip for 3 years. It hadn't spread, but I figured I'd get it taken care of. The tech showed up, started working and then called me to let me know thay he was done. I came out to pay and there was a crack in my windshield, about 3 inches wide. He kindly let me know I wouldn't be charged, that he filled it with the resin, so "it should be okay", but that I might now need a full replacement.

First of all, how many times do you need to be reminded of your upcoming appointment? I believe I received 4 reminders. Received a call the vehicle was ready for pickup at 11:00. Did not check out until 3:00? Upon leaving the parking lot, error dash light was flashing, needed to go back for a re-calibration? Still waiting on repairs???? Lost day of work, mileage re-embursement???? Just tried leaving the parking lot, problem still not resolved? Are you kidding me? Back in the shop again, is this a joke or am I being recorded for a TV show about to flip out?

The Tech that came out to fix my windshield was nothing but the best and sweetest!!! They came to my job which was very convenient. The billing on the other hand I am rating a 1, if I could rate a -5 I would. I specifically told them person on the phone I did NOT want windshield wipers onto my service. I told the guy also… (he did not put them on). Safelite still chose to bill me for windshield wipers causing my bill to be way more than what I was supposed to be (just my deductible). When the service was completed they ran my card for the incorrect amount… I called spoke to 5 different people all telling me I am wrong that i was only billed for my deductible. When I have a pending transaction the last 5 days for the incorrect amount and I have a receipt from Safelite showing that they billed me for the wipers which was not asked for… Absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible communication! Dropped my vehicle off as instructed and was told I would receive a call when ready. Around 5 I decided to call because I was surprised it was taking so long. Had to go through my insurance company to get an actual real person and was told the location closed at 5 and they never tried to call me to tell me the vehicle is done. So now it sits there until tomorrow and my husband and I have to scramble to figure out how we are both getting to work tomorrow with 1 car. Absolutely disgusted! How hard is it to let someone know their vehicle is finished??!NegativeProfessionalism

They did a great job replacing the windshield. Although i did drop my car off at 8:30 for the 9:30 drop and go option and, it still took until 2:30-3 for the car to get done. Not bad. I had a dash cam with adhesive they removed the camera and all adhesive and reapplied adhesive which is nice. They had given me my cut out inspection stickers that I'm able to keep as a nice souvenir (i know i need that anyway)
