During a home appointment for my windshield. It started to rain and soon was rerouted to the office setting to address it easily and out of the elements. While in the waiting room… I was questioned about a “calibration “ for lane departure warning etc. it would of cost $3-400 to do this “reprogramming “ B/S : my car recalibrated itself and they are currently scarring customers into a “unnecessary recalibration fee.” My vehicles’ safety features work fine & don’t let them tell you otherwise. Drive the car after the replace and see if your particular vehicle needs a recalibration. I’ve yet to contact an honest trustworthy garage/service center that doesn’t try to take advantage of the everyday customerNegativeProfessionalism

My experience with Safelite as a company was terrible. I was at the point of just going to my dealership. It was Impossible to contact the location which my vehicle was being worked on. It wasn’t until Wendy from the Oneonta location called me. She was able to go through my account, delete a bunch of nonsense that didn’t need to be there, and set me up with the right location, at the right time, with my windshield in stock. She was literally a life safer and took so much stress off my shoulders. The service industry needs more Wendy’s, she deserves 10 raises.

I had an appointment for Monday, never called, I had to call them. Some kind of part was not going to work they thought. Appoint two days later, still no part, two days later to much rain, next day I drive to them in the shop, ok. I waited and got into the car and my cross that was on mirror is broke in half. And was a gift from someone no longer here. Ok stuff happens. Now two miles down road and parts from the mirror are falling down. Go to shop today and explain this and and Wendy I believe her name is. She says oh I have pics it was hanging before. Hmmm that’s not even the part of the picture that I have that fell. She still had no words and I left. No one tried to fix it. I walked out and will never go to this location again.

I was more more than impressed with the entire process! Speed with which my initial encounter to having the windshield completed was less than 24 hours. ( and I had a camera and wires they had to rewire besides) It looks awesome and both the receptionist Wendy and the technician Jason were professional and unbelievably kind. Plus the place was immaculate! In this day and age of settling for mediocrity this place was a diamond in the ruff. Highly recommend it!PositivePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Value

The service was great 👍. They communicated with me very well. Even ended up coming to my house free of the trip charge, because they happen to be in my area!👏👏. But... later that day I happened to be driving by their Oneida Street Oneonta location that I had just dealt with and WOW 😳 - that place is a total dump! it looks like it an abandoned building that you might hear about someone getting stabbed in front of. The building is totally dilapidated!! I suspect this is why they didn’t want me to come down to their shop. You would think charging people 150$ for a 20 minute windshield repair of a single 1/4” rock chip, they might have a little extra money to maybe throw a new coat of paint on the place... Maybe run a push broom out front real quick. It would give it a much less “Stabby” look. I would recommend the at home service till they get the place spruced up!!!PositivePunctualityServicesAuto windshield repair

While the final result was excellent, it took three appointments to complete the job. The first appointment had to be rescheduled because the technician became unavailable. The second appointment had a technician who could not recognize that a faulty diagnostic reading was due to the windshield crack going through the camera. This caused me to go to the Dealer, the Dealer checked and verified that the issue could only be resolved by the windshield replacement. The third appointment had an experienced technician who expertly replaced the windshield and successfully recalibrated the camera. He opined that the first technician who failed to replace the windshield was a slacker who would likely be terminated. While the last technician deserves five stars, the failure of Safelite to have all thoroughly trained and dedicated technicians causes me to give only three stars
