I had my Tesla Model 3 windshield repaired on 7/18/2025. After picking up the car, I found a large amount of plastic debris and particulate matter left inside. This mess caused hairline scratches on my brand-new center console and steering wheel. On top of that, I noticed additional damage to the steering wheel, the front dash speaker, and the interior door. I went back to the Safelite location to politely point out the issues. Unfortunately, the staff showed no concern, didn’t acknowledge the damage, and only offered to blow out the debris with compressed air—which didn’t address the real problem. My car is only two months old and I keep it in excellent condition. I had even installed new mats the same day, and it was obvious that a lot of dirt was brought in during service. I also tried calling but was disconnected with no follow-up. I’ve been patient and respectful throughout, but this has been a very disappointing experience. If the company can’t offer a proper resolution, I’ll have no choice but to take further action.

Everything seems to be good with the work they did. Pros: Making an appointment online and registering my insurance was easy. After dropping my car off, it was done sooner then they said it would be. Con: There was no overnight drop off. The key drop was sealed off even though they said I could online and when I called while sitting there the night before. Now that I was forced to show up early in the morning when they opened, online asked to show 5 - 10 minutes early for paperwork. However they kept the door locked until 5 minutes passed 8. Frustrating. Overall, the work was good but most likely will not use again.

This review is based on my experience at the SAFELITE location in Latham, New York. I had to have my windshield fixed in December 2024, and my insurance recommended Safelite. Someone came to my house, assessed it, and said it could not be fixed, and everything had to be replaced. He was scheduled to come back, but I later got a call on the scheduled day that they were short-staffed and if I could bring it in. I agreed to take it to the shop. They changed it, and I left. As I was driving off, I noticed damage on both sides and went back. They told me they will order the parts that were damaged during the windshield change and give me a call. I did not know there was more. This was at the end of the day, so I went home, which was close by. Very early the next morning, as soon as I got on the highway, my hood came off and rammed into the windshield. I do not know how I made it out because everywhere was dark. I will not go into much detail, but they paid for towing and replaced the windshield. They gave excuses like the car is old, that is why the hood came off, even though the other parts damaged during the installation were never fixed. A car that never had such problems. I now have to check my hood before driving since the incident. I reached out to their customer care and got nothing. This location is unsafe and very unprofessional. I gave the benefit of the doubt, but it is obvious they do not care. I will be reporting to the appropriate authorities so that it does not happen to others. I do not recommend this location.

Although the weather didn't cooperate, it was all made well by the professionalism of the technician that showed up at the house. David was great. Good natured, informative, and polite. This is the second time that I've been so impressed by the technician that was working on my cars. Although I had to reschedule multiple times due to weather, they nonetheless were professionally responsive and David was amazingly proficient. He's surprised us all but how quickly he was able to address the problem and the quality of his work. Great job as always with Safelite!

Terrible experience and complete waste of my time. I had scheduled for a drop off appointment. The night before, they sent out a text telling me to drop my car off before 9:30am and leave the keys in the drop box. I left my car there at 9am and left my keys in the Dropbox, while at least two Safelite employees watched me do so. Then at 3pm I got a text saying my appointment had been cancelled. I called into the shop to find out why and sat on hold for 25 mins. After all that, I was told that after 9am I had to bring my keys inside the shop, which wasn’t said anywhere in the text or email instructions. Not to mention, I dropped my car off less than 5 minutes after 9am. Then I was told it was too late in the day for my car to be serviced, after it sat idle in their parking lot all morning. Auto Glass Now in Albany got me in for a same day appointment and I was out within two hours, no stress. I’d suggest trying them instead.

Decent experience. I used this location to replace a rear windshield on my vehicle. Parking situation can be tough as they have more cars on the lot than parking spaces so you end up parking on the side by the trees. The office area is not customer focused. Service coordinators are behind sliding glass windows in their own confined area. To speak to someone you have to go up to the window and wait for them to slide the glass window open and then after you are done they slide the glass window shut. I’m this day and age I see no value in this. The face to face mannerism from the service coordinators behind the sliding glass windows needs to improve though as they lack soft skills when engaging with customers. My rear windshield was replaced and the cleanup on the interior of my vehicle was great however the cleanup in the bed of my truck was poor. There were still glass shards in the corners of the bed and in between the cab and the bed which I had to vacuum out myself. I feel they have great techs performing work but are rushed because of such high amount of vehicles needing work or they are simply understaffed.
