This is insane. I took a half day at work to meet the 12pm to 5pm window. NO call, NO texts, NO ONE SHOWS UP! 5pm comes and goes. I cannot even talk to someone because the Business hours are over. I do not leave bad reviews lightly. I am livid at how poor this service is. I hope anyone reading this gives a serious second thought to using this company. Edit: to address the canned response below. i DID contact you. Guess what, I gave you all the grace in the world to resolve this. I even had this rescheduled for today. I got NO CONTACT AGAIN. Apparently I wasted my Saturday morning for a part that wasn't even available! Again, NO ONE TOLD ME THIS. NO CONTACT. So here I am, at the end of my appointment window. With no tech, no glass replacement. I reiterate my warning to anyone who thinks of using Safelite, SERIOUSLY reconsider your options. As for the supposed Owner who commented, you have all of my info, how about you contact ME if you actually care about resolving this catastrophe of a customer service experience.

Got my windshield replaced. After a couple days I noticed steaks of blurriness on the passenger side when sitting at a store looking at parking space lines (pics 1&2). Called and about a week later it was replaced again with the same issue (pics 3&4). I was having dinner near the location so I stopped by as I also noticed the window was not cleaned well and the installer didn't clean off his suction cup print. They also scheduled a new appointment to replace again to which I stated I would refuse a glass by the same manufacturer. After leaving the location and then cleaning the window it was still horribly streaked and dirty (pic 5). I didn't waste my time driving back. I contacted the location today 2/1 to find out they still can't confirm who the new glass is made by with my appointment on Friday 2/3. I have requested a refund, which I was told by Ryan (spelling?) it will be 3-5 days and will be using someone else. Edit 2/8/23 went to get my windshield replaced by another company and it was pointed out the wiper nut cover were missing. Safelite is the only company to remove this. Thanks for stealing from my vehicle

I was asked to leave a review of the Safelite location where I just had a windshield replaced in my new Toyota 4Runner, TRD Off Road Premium. Very Nice. Got it on May 22, then with only 345 miles on it, and driving west on Highway 70 between St Louis and Columbia Missouri, near Wright City, on June 11, in the road construction area, an 18 wheeler threw a HUGE rock into my windshield and smashed it, right in front of the driver. Scared the living daylights out of me and my passenger. We thought we were goners!! Right away, I called my insurance company, AAA, and they said Safelite handles all their GLASS claims. AAA did not do a good job of explaining their relationship with Safelite, and I wanted my dealer to do the work and get OEM glass for the broken one. My dealer said, no, they do not do glass work! And, the instructions from AAA were confusing, etc. So, I drove to my nearest SAFELITE shop and started crying about my broken windshield, and that the 4runner needed to be repaired to new status, with OEM Glass, and that it needed to get on the road ASAP due to travel plans!!! They were awesome! First they tried to patch it up, but, the repair was not acceptable. So, they said skip that and agreed to rush it back in and replace broken glass with OEM glass, so I could get on the road.. THEY were able to work it in, they got OEM glass in it and as best I can tell, it is as good as new. There was a challenge when I brought it in. These 2025 models are new to the techs. They did not think they had the means to recalibrate the electronics for the lane assist, etc. So, we had a long chat about the options. I suggested help from the dealership. The tech made some calls, and found out that he actually did have the means to do the calibration, after all. He just did not know the shop had gotten the right stuff in. Guess they did!!! The long and the short of it is, I was super nervous about these people doing the work. But, they worked hard to get me in and repaired like new. IN the days while I waited, I got good reports about the quality of their work, from multiple sources. The sources proved to right. I am happy with how things went and I am grateful to the shop for doing the repair asap, so the suv could leave on time for the trip!!! Yes, I can recommend the shop I went to.

I dropped off my truck at their South County, MO location to have the windshield replaced due to a crack. I opted to take my truck to one of their facilities instead of them doing the replacement at my work since it was 95° (heat index of 105°) and I though it would make it easier on the technician to do it in their shop. When I picked up my truck I noticed the state inspection sticker was missing. They looked for it for a while, but said they couldn’t find it. Then I drove my truck and immediately noticed a distortion in the glass in my field of view. The technician had to drive my truck to recalibrate the cameras for lane keeping sensors. He had to notice the distortion, but didn’t mention it to me. I contacted Safelite’s Customer Care and they started a case and said someone would call me back. No one has. Now, I have to get my windshield replaced again and go through that inconvenience. Not a good experience.ServicesAuto windshield repairPrice assessmentReasonable price

Terrible customer service. I had an appointment on August 1st to repair a chip in my windshield. The tech was scheduled to come between 12-5 at my work. Nobody showed up at all and no call or email was sent saying what happened. I was just forgotten about basically I guess. I tried calling but its literally impossible to get a real person on the line. A couple days later after trying the phone, I just ended up going to this location to see what the issue was. The desk girl told me that they had fired the tech for my appointment and that they could schedule an appointment in 2 days for the chip repair. So I mistakenly obliged and scheduled the appointment. 2 days later the tech shows up, it was a completely different tech then they said was coming in the email. She was nice but seemed very inexperienced and didn't seem to care about much. Long story short not even like 30 seconds in to fixing the chip, the entire wind shield was cracked. And she basically just told me I had to schedule another appointment to get my whole windshield replaced now. I am beyond frustrated with safelite and will never be using them again. Below are the pictures. It went from a barley noticeable chip to my entire windshield cracked.ServicesAuto windshield repair

They didn't replace my windshield, so I can't say how well they replace windshields. They DID waste hours of my time and condescend to me, though. My appointment was at 7 a.m. (arrived at 6:30 and waited until 6:50, which was check-in time according to the various emails I got about my appointment). Nobody there, because the shop doesn't open until 8. Nobody to answer the phone (the robot answering machine will just hang up on you, no matter how many times you call). The national switchboard just redirects to the local phone number, which again hangs up on you. Chatting on the website led me to a different customer service number which found my appointment but couldn't get ahold of the store for me. CS assured me they had my windshield and would be able to replace it at 8 when they opened. Someone arrived around 7:30 and locked the door behind him. I waited until 7:45 when another two people (customers) arrived and the door was open. I waited in line to be helped only to be told I missed my appointment, and now I couldn't get my service done. They said I should have put my key in the dropbox for them to grab at 7 (which nobody told me, no email told me, the website didn't tell me, and no sign indicated at the store). When I brought this up, the front desk representative just said it was a "new" service but couldn't answer how I would have known that, seeing as nothing told me to drop off my key. It should be noted that I was parked in front of the shop for an hour and a half and didn't see anyone come to check the dropbox, so not sure it would have helped even if I DID know to put my key there and wait. The emails did tell me I could wait for the service to finish in the waiting room, which wasn't open until 8, so I guess they wanted me to drop my key off and just wait in the parking lot for an hour?? Now they said they can't help me today or even this week, which was MY fault for missing my appointment (even though I was there on time and they were not). The manager who spoke to me answered every question I had by telling me he was "just trying to reason" with me, which felt quite condescending and unnecessary since asking for help and explanation on their part is not in fact unreasonable when you have been waiting an hour and a half for an appointment you did show up on time for. I wouldn't recommend this location unless you want to waste time, not get the service done, and leave feeling insulted.
