I recently had my entire rear window replaced here. While my window was on backorder I was told to have them put on a crash wrap which is the plastic and tape. The tape they used left glue and residue on my car that did not come off with a normal wash after the glass was repaired. The detailer wanted to charge me $200, but I went back to safelite who told me because I signed the form for them to put it on my car it was not their responsibility.....I couldn't believe it. Why would you put this on customers cars knowing it damages the pait. I DO NOT suggest spending your money here and DEFINITELY DO NOT LET THEM PUT A CRASH WRAP.

Had my glass replaced and wipers January 22nd 2025. It was a seamless experience at first. Took maybe an hour or two max. But after driving around for 26 days with new windshield and calibrated cameras. The cameras went off code. It enabled my safety features as I am using and driving down the road. It’s not just a light that goes off. It may and warnings popping up in the dash. So I made another appointment asap. You get a lifetime warranty on glass. But 30 days on camera calibration. So I made it back within 30 days. Feb 20. It threw many dt or dts codes all camera related. Very nice ppl who worked on my car. Kinda of hesitant a bit. Not sure if it meant anything or was telling me more that he should. But overall he cleared codes and testing out again. Windshield is not original dealer. With that being said. If cameras and I can see bevels in the windshield. Why can’t calibration be past 30 days. I can understand if it’s a windshield from OEM. But since it’s not. For everyone safety. Why not allow a 90 allowance. If any time limit needs to be. Good company overall still. Just cautious about the setup now. Even the worker said I may need to get another windshield from OEM. Especially if this round fails. The only reason it’s not five stars is because of the risk factor of safety still.

My left windshield wiper was hanging off the car when I turned them on. I had to get out my car and physically put it back on my car. The wiper scraped and scuffed my left side panel by windshield. Then I noticed that my molding around my windshield was ripped to shreds some parts are the molding not there, leaving a whole between the windshield and my car. Spoke to the manager and I told her everything. I made an appointment before speaking to her. I also requested that same tech not work on my car. She ensured me that everything will be fixed and a senior tech will work on my car. Got there today, not the tech she mentioned and the tech acted like it wasn’t a big deal what I was coming there for. How are they trying to sell wipers, but can’t put my original wipers back on, scraping my car? When we talked about the molding he tried to brush me off saying he gonna talk to the tech, like the tech was finning tell you he did it. The manager told me she was going to speak to the original tech about what he did 3 days ago. So the manager didn’t give the rundown 3 days ago. New tech said he knows nothing about what me and her talked about. The manager spoke on how she talked to her crew daily about this is people’s money, property, and time, but she didn’t mention anything to the tech about my car. He returned my car. Couldn’t get the scuff or scapes gone, then tells me they have pictures of my molding prior to job. I asked to see the pictures . He told me they are at the front desk. Front desk clerk looked confused when I asked to see pictures and showed me pictures of my left side molding. I already knew what my car looked like. She knew about something because her face showed it. I told her everyone is lying because that’s what they were all doing at this point . I have pictures of my whole car and guess what the molding is nowhere damaged on my photo. Call back as I left and asked for the tech name and I informed the front desk that I had my own pictures, everyone lied in my face and that I’m posting this review and calling corporate. She insisted it’s not new techs fault . No he didn’t do the work but he lied in my face and brushed me off QuickType whole time. I was there for 15 minutes. He boosted about he is as good as the senior tech, but I bet that senior tech of 20 years don’t lie to the customers, brush them off with a smerk on his face. I Took time away from my day, rescheduled appointments to do this. Everyone makes mistakes, fix them. Vehicle’s are not cheap and I worked hard for mine. New tech and front desk really brushed my concerns off like it was nothing so they could get to their other customers. Wow just wow. I paid for my windshield not my insurance. I thought manager would of reached out to the head tech that I was supposed to have work on my car. Anything to make it sound good knowing he was off today. Nobody has reached out to me and when I called Safelite through geico it was noted that the manager Steve contacted me to tell me it was dry rotten before hand . I asked agent about their pictures and she gave no straight answer just clicking. The technician never said a thing before service. If so I would have purchased the trim as I purchased the windshield or just went through my insurance for just the deductible . Now I got to pay for the part and labor or go through my insurance. Ain’t that something I try to save by not claiming and still get screwed in the end. The fact is I didn’t bring my car there like that, nobody said nothing about dry rotten or sun damage because of how it came in and now it’s forget the customer. The windshield wiper was crazy too, thank God it wasn’t raining heavy with my toddler in the back. Update, Been 5 days and store manager never called me.I left a message for her to call me on the Saturday i brought my car back. I called corporate Monday and the told me 24-48 hours for district leader to call and still have not.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Safelite Crain Highway Waldorf MD In all I basically had four appointments. The first appointment the technician did not seal the glass correctly or put the molds back around it but tried to send me on my way. I complained to the front and another tech came out who took pictures and told me to return Monday. I returned just to be told I needed to make an appointment because they were short staffed. Made another appointment just to be told that the appointment was made incorrectly, the glass wasn’t there and they didn’t know how long it would take the warehouse to bring one over but for my inconvenience I could get some windshield wipers (what a joke) Made the last appointment where finally the windshield was installed but no wipers. Bad thing is they don’t even have a manager at the store you can talk to. If you have to go to Safelite(Waldorf) might want to make sure they are fully staffed, a manager is on site, inspect your replacement thoroughly!!!

I must be honest, the window was replaced and all functions on the door are working perfectly. My issue is the clean up job was horrible. Glass was all over my vehicle on the inside from the front to the rear. Glass from the broken window was even scattered throughout my garage. The thing that bothered me the most is that my wife cut herself on the shattered glass left behind by the Safelite technician. Aren’t the technicians equipped with at least a small shop vac to clean up behind themselves? I believe a job isn’t complete without cleaning up your mess. That’s also a safety hazard my wife was injured…

A mobile technician came to my home and told me a repair couldn’t be done so it would need to be replaced because I need the damage not to be visible because the rock hit right in my sight line. The technician told me my $158 prepaid repair fee would be refunded. Went to my appointment and I was quoted $876 for the replacement. They charged me $1034.00. I was later told that the $158.00 wasn’t supposed yo be refunded. I was never told this at the facility. I found out when the receipt was emailed to me. The replacement seems to have been done well so far but my experience was not great. I would most likely not recommend after this because of the poor communication.
