Received quote online $535. Then I received an adjustment for calibration makes quote $635. Ok I'm good .so I drove 2 hours to scheduled appt And guy behind counter tells me.Its not going to be 4 hours like the estimate said.but he needs the whole day.and I would have to wait 8 plus hours in waiting room. Then he tells me it's an additional $1000 adjustment now we are at 1800 bucks for a windsheild. Now I called Tesla. $700 out the door. I called ziegler glass 625$ out the door.I had it done there and it was perfect. Really. Safelite is a rip off .get other estimates.the guy behind the desk. Was rude and. A liar.i called another Safelite and got an estimate for 635 out the door..Safelite mgr here is lazy and a liar These guys are scammers

Had to get my windshield replaced. I have a Subaru with all those camera-driven safety features (lane departure warning, collision warning, etc...). The staff at Safelite warned me that windshield replacement + camera recalibration could take as much as 3.5 hours. They got it done in only 2 hours, which was great since I was waiting for the repair on site. The only drawback is the sticker shock for the recalibration. It basically tripled the cost of just the glass replacement. To be clear, they didn't ambush me with that. They told me up front, and due to the very large size of the crack and another planned road trip I didn't feel like I had a lot of time to waste getting other estimates. So I'm curious to know if recalibration costs that much at other shops, but I give this shop 5 stars for ease of getting an appointment, clear communication, and timeliness of service.

Not a good experience. I was refused service because the technician said they couldn't guarantee the work. The car had too much rust and they didn't fix that. So it would be a liability, so therefore, they would not do the work, problem is, I already paid for it now, I want my money back and I can't get ahold of anybody to take care of this issue. Not. Happy. Does anyone answer a phone at Safelight? Do people work there? Ronald the technician won't even answer his phone. Edit: The only way I got my money back was to dispute it through my Bank Account. Smdh

We used to love Safelite. I called them recently to set up an appointment for my wife's windshield and getting to an actual human being is next to impossible. When I finally got to a human being it was a call center that was unable to help me. I tried calling back again to see if our windshield was in stock and trying to navigate the call center menus led to me being disconnected after spinning five minutes on the phone trying to get to a human. I am going to search for another windshield repair company where I can actually speak to someone who works at the store.

I had submitted the Safelite request through Geico. I chose rear passenger door glass for my Bronco. The work order somehow was messed up and incorrectly listed Driver side rear door glass. Ethan was professional, friendly, and he went above and beyond to help get the correct glass even though the work order was incorrect, but the website input was somehow correct. He took it upon himself to try and get me taken care of before it rained this week. Absolutely amazing customer service. Will be using Safelite again, and I hope I'll get Ethan.ServicesAuto side window replacementPrice assessmentGreat price

No, no, no. I rarely write a negative review, but Safelite has earned it. Perhaps I should wait until the outstanding question is answered-- will they make it right? But, instead I am choosing to write this while still burning with rage. I scheduled a March 11 at home windshield replacement for the 12-5 time window. Around 4:45, with no word from the technician, I called Safelite. The kind agent tried multiple times over the course of 10 minutes to reach the tech... nothing. The tech called me shortly after 5 and said she was on her way-- great! Later than planned, causing a scramble to move carseats to get kids from daycare. Advanced communication would have been nice, to allow for me to plan my evening better, but at least it would be done. Around 5:30, Paige the technician shows up and she has a new windshield on my car by about 6:30. Done, calibrated, all seems great. A couple of weeks later, I noticed a piece of molding that covers the side of the windshield was missing. Safelite hypes up their warranty so I went to their website to schedule an appointment. There are two Safelite locations in my county, one 13 miles away (Olathe) and one 20 miles away (Shawnee). The Shawnee location had better appointment times available, so I scheduled there. On April 8, I walked into the Shawnee location for my appointment and explained what was wrong. The receptionist said "We didn't do this repair". I asked her how I'd know who did the repair since it was at my house and she apologized. A technician came out to look at my car and they said they'd call the Olathe office to let them know about the issue and what part to order. Olathe did schedule the appointment and on April 12, they came out to my house. However, there was a miscommunication about the issue and the technician, Cameron, was unaware of the problem. He apologized, looked at my car, and promised to order the part. A few days later, Safelite scheduled another appointment on April 17 from 12-5. On April 17, the technician, Taylor, called me at about 4:30, letting me know he was 20 minutes away. When he got to my house, he told me it would just be a quick 2-3 minute repair to pop on the modeling and get it secured. About 15 minutes later, he came up to my door looking less than enthusiastic. He said the glass was installed up a little bit too high on that side of the car, which is why the original molding flew off. He tried to push it down slightly, and cracked the glass. I would need another full windshield replacement. He said because it was late in the day, he would contact the office today or tomorrow, tell them what happened and have them get me scheduled for another windshield replacement. As of this morning, April 23, Safelite had not set up the repair. I called them this morning to get it scheduled. I'm hoping they'll fully fix it this time and we can be done with it. Edit to add: As of April 24, it appears to be fixed! Safelite did show up 45 minutes after the scheduled repair window again... arriving at 12:45 for an 8-12 repair, but at least it's done. Let's hope it lasts this time.
