I recently had a window incident in which my entire back windshield was smashed. I am currently at our summer camp in Maine so had no idea how to handle. Thankfully my insurance company arranged for Safelite to repair. Within minutes I had my appointment scheduled on the next business day! And this did not involve me to travel to their shop but the technician came to me (down a mile and half dirt driveway). And then to find the technician to be very thorough and conscientious was the icing on the cake. Within an hour I was back on the road again. So from start to finish it was a totally seamless procedure and one I would highly recommend to anyone! Thank you Safeliite glass in Augusta and technician Glenn!ServicesAuto rear window replacement

I’m a tough one to get a perfect score out of, but this crew deserves it! I had a Jeep Wrangler and a Jeep gladiator both needing a new windshield and I was super frustrated. Alan was my contact person for both and throughout the drop off, replacement and follow up care. He made a very frustrating situation, extremely easy. Getting a direct cell phone number and communicating with me instead of me chasing someone down was above and beyond what I expected! I had a chance to speak with a couple of the other guys in the shop between drop offs and pick ups and everybody was super nice and helpful! Whether they come to you, or you go to them, do yourself a favor and choose Alan and his crew over at Safelite in Augusta!

Josh, Alan and Shane provided exceptional service and craftsmanship! I HIGHLY recommend the staff there at 251 State Street in Augusta! !!!!!HOWEVER!!!!! Safelite Corporate should be ashamed of the ancient (1930's?) facility, and its deteriorating condition. Collapsed interior office ceilings plagued with a leaky roof and mold is nothing short of an eyesore and health risk!!!! This facility is not for the faint of heart! SHAME ON YOU SAFELITE CORPORATE! In addition, Safelite misrepresents its facility with posted photographs of a different modern facility instead of this RUNDOWN, nearly 100 year old structure. Corporate policy makes it nearly impossible to telephone the local store (if you might be running late) in which case you may lose your appointment altogether!) And Safelite's response: "We apologize this experience did not fully meet your expectations." Corporate investor profits over customer convenience appear to be the order of the day for Safelite. Street signage is non-existent, so be prepared to zoom right past Safelite Augusta and be prepared to turn around once you realized you missed the location! See photos!

Made an appointment for today for a reason. Because I am on a tight schedule with having work and school plus childcare schedule. I got email and text reminders for my appointment today. I show up with no parking, as it is a tiny area, not even an actual parking lot. Than the guy tells me my appointment is next Tuesday, a day I would never have ever scheduled my appointment for. He jokes that I can sit and wait. I asked if that meant he could fit me in today. He said no I can sit and wait until Tuesday. Never apologized just made jokes at my expense. The comfy waiting area advertised is simply a tiny area wirh a couple of chairs directly in front of the service desk with a worker who thinks he is a comedian. I tried calling to reschedule my appointment and waited 30 minutes on hold and hung up. I logged in to reschedule to the portland location and the website won't work. I will find a different glass company as this place is lacking customer service and any sort of professionalism. I do not trust them to repair my 2024 windshield. Do not recommend

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Professional, Personable, and Absolutely Top-Notch — A Master of the Craft” In a world where service often feels rushed or impersonal, this technician stood out in all the right ways—even before they arrived. The day started rough, with the weather throwing curveballs and delaying everything in sight. But instead of leaving me wondering, this tech stayed in constant communication. Multiple check-ins, clear updates, honest timelines—the kind of respectful, proactive contact you rarely see anymore. I never had to guess what was going on. I knew exactly when to expect them, and that peace of mind meant everything. When they did arrive, their professionalism was immediately obvious. Friendly, focused, and fully prepared, they handled my windshield repair with precision and care. What had been an annoying little ding—a daily eyesore—was completely erased. The glass looked flawless. But what impressed me even more than the repair itself was how they carried themselves: • Communicative without being pushy. • Respectful of my time and vehicle. • Skilled without needing to show off. This wasn’t just a job to them—it was clearly a craft. And it showed in every step. Delays happen. Weather happens. But the way this technician handled it? That’s the gold standard. I’d rather work with someone who’s running late and keeps me informed than someone who shows up on time and treats me like a number. Highly, highly recommended. If you need your auto glass repaired and want it done right—by someone who truly gives a damn—this is the person to call.

I recently had my windshield replaced and shortly after repaired after the new install got dinged by a small rock on my Ford Transit Connect, both went very well. They got me in quickly and the work done fast I recently bought a used 2009 Ford Ranger pick up, and the day I picked it up, my windshield, got broken by a stray golf ball from a golf course! The Augusta branch was able to take me in quickly and had the windshield replace in fifty minutes. All good and now I have a clear view. Thanks for getting me in quickly and the speedy work.
