Giving 1 star indicates a job was performed, this is not the case. Safelite took ~$400 of my money, guaranteed an appointment for 3/19/24 from 12-5 and the tech just never showed up. Calling the shop (this location) leads to a phone that just rings without answer. Their automated system rescheduled, without my consent, to a date 8 days later at a time I am not available. The entire time now I am stuck with a windshield that is not water tight, and I would hedge a bet that Safelite isn't going to compensate me for the damage this will lead to my vehicle due to their shop and tech's negligence. I have called customer service multiple times and there is no recourse, this company and shop have scammed me out of a product that I am required to have and then they had the audacity to reschedule AND charge me more for the exact same service. To say this is not how business is conducted is an understatement. I'd much rather trust gas station sushi before I trust Safelite or the Safelite Brandon office. Edit/update 3/22/24: Safelite finally came out today (3/22/24) to complete the service, 5 days after they said they would. This took no less than 40 calls between the shop and corporate. Thus far I have attempted to contact this location 26 times with less than a 10% success rate for someone to pick up - there is no voicemail (this seems deliberate). During the replacement, the tech shattered my old windshield, sending glass throughout my vehicle, he attempted to clean it, but there are still fine glass particles everywhere along with some larger pieces. The windshield that was placed on the vehicle was fundamentally different vs the one removed (and not just because it wasn't shattered), I pointed this out to the tech but we were already at a point of no return as the old one was destroyed, I have serious concerns and doubts that this windshield is correct. During the installation process, the tech caused multiple scratches and damage to multiple panels on my vehicle, this is no garage queen vehicle, but I'm more than willing to own up the dents and scratches I caused, and these new ones were definitely not from me. I am now stuck with what seems to be an inferior product, with glass shards and dust throughout my vehicle cabin (very dangerous to your lung health), and damage to my vehicle. I am obviously not updating my rating unless Google allows us to give 0. All in all, I would never recommend Safelite to anyone ever again. If my choices were Safelite or plastic wrap from Dollar general, I'm picking dollar general every single time, because at least I'll get what I paid for. Edit/update (again) 4/5/24: finally got someone from this location to reach out to me about fixing the damage they caused over 2 weeks ago, this took calling corporate every other day, each time being promised that I'd get an answer and never getting one. Had to state that I'll never drop this issue over principle alone. I've easily spent more in time vs what this windshield cost me. At this point it is about doing what is right, and this location seems to be doing their best to do the exact opposite of that.

Go to any other location but this one. They were late getting everyone's car done. One lady dropped her car off at 8 am and by 5pm when i was still waiting for mine she was told they had not even started hers. I was told it would take 90 minutes but they had not even started mine after after the 90 minutes had passed. Then they said 45 minutes, 40 minutes later i was told it would be another half hour. The location itself is rundown and nasty, walls are dirty no tv or anything in the waiting room, not even a vending machine. The plaza has nothing in it where you can go grab a snack and a bottle of water unless you want to pay $10-$20 per person for a small and not very clean chinese food place in the next plaza or Dominican restaurant next door. They also now tell you that if you do not buy their windshield wipers when they put in a new windshield that you can basically kiss any warranty goodbye because even if you wipers just make smudge across the windshield 3 months down the line then your warranty is voided. Over the years i have gotten 4 or so windshields from them between my cars and my husbands and we have never been told that before. Go somewhere else, try the Safelite on 301 near fowler at least the inside was clean and there is a burger king, winn dixie, dollar tree and so few other places across the street so you can get a drink and a snack. That office might have had a vending machine or coffee maker in it i just didnt pay attention the one time i went there to pick up a friend

I scheduled a windshield replacement with Safelite for Friday at 4 PM, expecting a smooth and reliable experience. Instead, I was met with complete disorganization and terrible customer service. On the day of my appointment, I received three separate phone calls informing me that my appointment was overbooked—by five appointments—and that it needed to be canceled. I was told a manager would call me back, but that never happened. I followed up on Monday, was promised a home appointment, and once again told a manager would call me back—which, unsurprisingly, did not happen. After all of this, the earliest they could accommodate me was the following Thursday, leaving me to drive my car at my own risk for nearly a week. I specifically chose Safelite for their reliability and flexibility in scheduling, and they failed on both counts. If you’re looking for a company that follows through on its commitments, this is not it.

Waited two weeks for this appointment to have my windshield replaced. Unbeknownst to me the Tech had been texting me before his arrival. I didn't know this because my phone was charging. I later learned the tech went so far as to drive to my house and sat outside and waited for me to text back and subsequently drove off when I didn’t respond immediately to the text. I later contacted Safelite and after some back and forth with the shop I was made aware that JAREL would come by after finishing up with other clients he that day, but that didn’t happen. So, I contacted corporate and informed them of the aforementioned and they set me up for the next day at my place of work. The Tech was nice enough but pointed out that my A pillar window trim, left and right had been glued on with some sort of apoxy. And he wouldn’t be able to salvage the trim. This was perplexing but I remembered that it was safelite who initially replaced the window the first time. According to the Tech, should it rain my vehicle has no protection from the elements. It’s been a few days without window trim. I now have to wait however long it takes for the bureaucracy to settle before they address that life time warranty they tout about before I am made whole and my vehicle is repaired and operable. Safelite your commercals preprot that your the leading auto glass replacement company in the business but you can’t prove that by me. This was unacceptable and avoidable. Some of your techs need to work on people’s skills. Not everyone using texting to communicate 24/7. Safelite you need to better. Respectfully, M. Ross

I would NOT recommend Safelight! The (2) two guys took apart the entire front plastic pieces around my windshield when it wasn’t necessary. They left the plastic pieces that they took apart just bulging and not put back together. Horrible workmanship! The Worst EVER! I couldn’t get through to a human, no person answers the phone only a recording. The recording did a warranty claim. The guy that came out to put the pieces back together said the (2) yeti guys that did the work didn’t need to nor should they have taken my front plastic dash pieces apart. Well, the (2) guys that did that damaged the front part of my dash area. The heat and the harsh sun warped the plastic pieces. It looks horrible! Do yourself a favor!!! Go elsewhere!!! Anywhere but Safelite!!! Safelite replace…Safelite destroy!!!!!!

My honest experience at this Safelite location (9017 E Adamo Dr #122, Tampa FL 33619) was absolutely terrible. The staff I met here is highly unprofessional and not customer-friendly and not courteous. I visited on this day in need of firstly, a window wrap adhesive film to temporarily cover the completely shattered and missing glass side panel close to the taillight of my minivan and secondly, vacuuming of the several glass shards inside in the rear bed of the minivan, as referred to me by safelite's own national customer service phone agents as my upcoming appointment to install the new glass with safelite is more than a week out. To my shock, the technician at the front desk of this location refused to vaccum the shards in the area next to the now shattered window inside the minivan's rear bed and said vacuuming would be done at the time of installation which would be more than a week out and I have to live with those sharp hazardous shards in there until then worrying about what injury it can cause. That's literally refusing to do it and pushing that simple work of a quick vaccum to somebody else in the future. The plastic adhesive wrap they installed didnt hold up either and it came off within seconds of being on the road flapping in the air making it unsafe and insecure from debris, wind, rain etc. Realized they didn't tape anything to secure it in place. It's a shabby job. Either they don't know how it's done right or sheer unwillingness to do it right. I didn't bother to go back there the second time as I turned around. I switched and headed to another Safelite location(4214 N Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL 33607). Even though it was a bit of a drive for me it was all worth it and they(4214 N Armenia Ave, Tampa Safelite location) performed all the said items professionally with smiles and without hesitation, and the wrap adhesive not only looked professional but also stayed on like a champ without coming off throughout the remainder of my journey back home feeling safe with a clean minivan bed and no more glass shards present. I will always want to take my business to where there's top notch service as that makes a big difference in the outcome and future work.
