After having an unpleasant encounter with a semi truck I ended up needing a new windshield. I made several calls and Great Lakes gave me the best quote. The first time we attempted working together he discovered he'd brought the wrong glass. The price of the correct windshield was significantly higher. He installed the glass at his cost and told me it was his service to the community. You rarely find that type of service anymore. I'd recommend him to anyone!

On the way to an out of town trip my kid had their windshield shattered by a piece of metal from a passing truck . It was near closing time , and called multiple other shops to no avail . Got in touch with Great Lakes they were able to locate a windshield + told us they would do the repair whenever we could get the car to the shop . They recommended a local towing company and completed the repair at 730 pm . The workanmanship was impeccable + they made sure to get all the glass fragments from the car interior . Honestly , 5 stars is underating everything they did . I'm really not sure what more you can ask for from a Glass repair shop .. Amazing !!ServicesAuto windshield repair

I called this company to replace my back window. I gave them all the details, and had set up an appointment for Tuesday. I was told that I would receive a call from the tech an hour before arrival. I took the day off work the following day to make sure I would be available. At 1pm, I still had not heard anything. I texted the number that had been texting me my appointment details, and was told the tech would be arriving between 3:45-4:45pm. I sat and waited for another 4 hours. Still no call, or text. I called the company at 5pm, and left 2 messages. By 6pm, I still had not heard anything. Tried to call again, and they were closed. I called the next day to find out what was going on, left another 3 messages, texts, and 3 days later, I still have not received any calls from this place. I would not recommend this company, as they are not very professional, courteous, or respectful of people's time.NegativePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I was hoping they could fit me in the day I called at 4:30 because my windshield chipped on the way home, but they fit me in the next day and drove all the way downtown (mobile only). The tech called me when he got there and I asked for a picture because I couldn’t leave to see it until later and he sent it right after he was done. It was also the cheapest option between the 5+ places I called.

Should've known better when the initial discussion to setup an appointment started off with..."I've gotta see if I can get someone in...if not our soonest is.." Followed up by arriving to drop the vehicle off a day early as discussed and being met in the lot as I'm getting out of the vehicle with.."Can I help you?" "I have an appointment for tomorrow" "Oh yeah.." To them not even touching the vehicle till around noon the following day. 3 hrs later at 3pm received a call claiming to have wasted film because vehicle was in Valet mode. Even got "Don't you trust us!?" "Come get it!" I asked if it was done..and was told no. Just get it. All I could do is laugh at how unprofessional they were. Crazy thing is the Car still operates as normal in Valet. So have no idea what they had an issue with. It's a hybrid and These vehicles record everything now on apps. Doors open and close, windows up and down. Don't bother wasting your time as I did. ..take it some place else. Added after response of business: To educate you on the vehicle. Please read and comprehend the words. Then take a minute to evaluate your behavior. Treating a customer in this manner is, as I said earlier laughable. It’s a hybrid, Regardless in Valet or Regular the following holds true. Doors will not lock with key inside of vehicle. Windows do not operate unless vehicle is started or Press start again without holding brake. Configures vehicle to stay on battery. It then puts the vehicle in protection mode. (See pic). THE ONLY WAY TO CIRCUMVENT IT FROM SHUTTING OFF IS TO ACTUALLY START THE VEHICLE. THIS REQUIRES PRESSING THE BRAKE. The vehicle will then start and shutdown itself as necessary to keep the battery from draining.

The service I received at Great Lakes Auto Glass for a cracked windshield exceeded every expectation. I was ready to pay $1,080 for a new windshield but a coworker told me to call Great Lakes Auto Glass first and I am so so thankful that he did. The repair took a day, dropped off the car before work and picked it up after. The customer service was beyond anything I am used to. They scheduled me quickly, called me with updates, even called the dealership when I was worried about what parts I should use. They went above and beyond for an incredibly low price. I will continue to recommend everyone I know goes to Great Lakes Auto Glass!
