I had Safelite replace my windshield, and during that process, the technician damaged my VIN sticker. This review is about how the store managers handled the warranty repair, not the original technician. Once the replacement VIN was ordered, I was told I would get a call when it arrived. After two weeks with no update, I called and found out they hadn’t tracked the shipment. Later that evening, they called back saying the sticker had actually arrived the day before but they hadn’t checked their mailbox. When I came in for my appointment, I was promised a ride home during the repair. I checked in at 8 AM, after watching a couple customers be helped that came in after me, I went back up to the front desk and was told the manager I needed was in a meeting. When he finally came out, he took my key and disappeared again. Another customer escalated an issue, and the same manager chose to prioritize the other customer issue over ordering my ride home. After 20 minutes, I had to ask again for my ride, which the manager finally called, but he didn’t confirm how long the repair would take nor the details of my ride (color, make, model, license plate number) until I stopped him. I was told to expect my vehicle would be done at 5 PM, though thankfully I got my car back around 2 PM. My car had an adhesive film on the hood and side mirrors, residue from the service. They informed me the adhesive should easily wash out in car wash, but not to wash the vehicle for two days. I took glass cleaner and a microfiber towel to my car and it came off easily. This is something they could have quickly resolved before returning my vehicle. Overall, the lack of attention and communication was disappointing. Especially for an issue caused by their company in the first place.

When the tech arrived he knocked on my door and said angrily “I’ve been trying to get a hold of you forever!” I said “I’ve been near my phone and waiting for you” Turns out he had the wrong number. He commented a couple of times how inconvenient it was to have to wait and work in the heat. Replaced my passenger side window and it was the wrong size. Demanded that he still had to collect the deductible, would fill out a “recall “form that showed he would return with the correct window and I would hear from him. I called 4 days later. He said he would be there the next day to replace the incorrect window. He replaced the window for a second time. The WRONG window again!! Said he was going to have to talk to the office to figure out why they didn’t get it right again. When I try to call the office, the phone rings and rings. Two weeks and I hadn’t heard a thing. So I used private glass company in Scottsdale. Scottsdale Glass provided great service, told me that wrong window was because they were installing a window for a convertible. My car isn’t a convertible. Still haven’t gotten a phone call weeks later!! Terrible service!! Extremely rude and incompetent

The worst thing you want is a cracked windshield. We replaced two new windshield 6 months ago. Like always, lots of 18 wheelers trucks and pickups in Arizona with uncovered trailers is a recipe for lots of rocks becoming projectiles hitting lots of windshields. Here is my review: A. Customer Service: 1. I give Amy all thumbs up for her windshield repair. 2. She was very professional and the good news I didn’t know the repair has a lifetime repair warranty. B. Showroom 1. The showroom is very clean and organized and conducive for waiting for your vehicle being serviced 2. They offer water while you wait C. Repair Outcome 1. You can see the silhouette of the crack. The crack was over a quarter in diameter. D. Value 1. The retail price for the repair is $156, the good news I paid less due to a price match. Be sure to check around for comps, why? All of the companies are offering discounts since it’s Summer and the winter customers are away. Overall, I give Satellite 5 stars for offering a quick way of getting me up and running. I waited under 1 hour and 1/2. No bad!!! Great job Amy

I had my windshield replaced here last month. I went on a Saturday and waited three hours for my car, but was told that there was a software error during recalibration (I have a late model Subaru Outback) and needed to return the following Monday to resolve it. The technicians, Michael and Eddie, found a loose connection somewhere and resolved the recalibration issue. Even though it was inconvenient to wait the hours I did, it was worth the patience because Michael and his team communicated the issue and needed time to resolve it. They were very professional and I appreciate the work they put in to resolve it. There are no problems with the aftermarket replacement windshield. It seems thicker and more solid than the windshield it replaced. I am happy with it and will come back to this Safelite service center for any future replacements.

07/10/2025 Update: The windshield installation was faulty and now needs to be redone. I first started the process online which I realized it didn't quite work. I then called in and the automated voice options were terrible, was not given an option to press #'s or to reach a human. When I did finally reach a human, was not able to schedule both front windshield and back window repair to be performed at the same time. I knew this was ridiculous and called again going thru the same frustrations with the voice prompts to someone who was willing to schedule both at the same time. For the actual installation, the tech was on his cell phone the entire time - it seemed to take quite awhile. I would not recommend Safelite. I went to them thinking it would be a professional company versus those that offer $$ but I was very disappointed.

The installation at this Safelite office in the valley was the most satisfactory I have experienced. Jesse performed an excellent job during the installation. While the glass could have been cleaned slightly more effectively, this was not a significant issue. The glass had a two-inch scratch that was not apparent until I arrived home. I returned a week later, and Luis was able to polish out the scratch. Luis did an excellent job! One aspect where the office fell short was the eyebrow tint installation. There were bubbles in the tint, indicating that the area used for application contained dust and dirt that became trapped within it. Safelite offered to redo the tint, but overnight leaving the car was not an option for me.

This Safelite location has some quality techs who were willing to spend a considerable amount of time to resolve a noise problem after my Honda CRV windshield was replaced. The noise issue was intermittent audible only at freeway speed. Trevor was excellent at communicating with me and Luis was an experienced technician who committed to search for and eliminate the problem. Trevor arranged for me to be picked up when the problem was eliminated so after getting a comped UBER ride to the Raintree location I was happy to drive away with a noise-free windshield and respect for the Raintree crew who listened to my concerns, committed to and then ultimately cured the noise issue just as they said they would. Thank you !

Updated: I do not appreciate when technician Trevor lie to me, I asked for a better glass due to bad experience with Chinese FUYAO in the past I was told we will order new glass and will reschedule your appointment, I called next day and he telling me that FUYAO is pretty much my only option, I've done it before at this store and never had any problems, I guess it's time to switch new location _______________________________________ Old: 3 weeks of waiting and finally my windshield done, except 1 broken clip under top molding and refuse to install oem windshield seal even if I requested, no big deal, most important I got my oem windshield, thank you technician Jesse for rapid and clean installation

Insurance company routed me to Safelite’s website. It was easy to schedule an appointment (quicker to take my car to them than to wait for them to come to me). My experience at the shop was excellent. The receptionist got Matthew the technician. He explained everything and gave me a time estimate. Before the time was up he came out to tell me the repair was curing and it would be about 10 minutes. 10 minutes later my car was at the front door and he was telling me their were no restrictions. I had a nice cup of coffee and read my book while waiting. It was an excellent experience.

Close location to me. Clean setting, with complementary coffee and cold water. Coloring books for the kids and charging stations with iPhone and Samsung chargers. Not overly busy however April (the receptionist) Seemed that she was overloaded with work at times. The technician was prompt. He evaluated the windshield and took my vehicle for the repair. I’m happy that they were able to repair rather than replace the windshield. Thank you Safelite! There was a guy who farted inside the waiting room (you know who are!) next time fart outside! Nobody wants to smell fart EVER!
